OK running a free survival weekend for anyone whom is interested.

I think for the first one it should be in the south east of England - i suggest Kent but this may change.

well so far we have 6 people and a couple of partners - looks like we are getting set for a great time.

i think if the demand is high we could run two camps at the same venue, just to get a community thing going on, maybe bring back the barter system - who knows might not leave and start our own village!

I actually slept in this shelter it was really warm, it rained during the night and it kept the rain out too.....:D

i'm afraid I wont be able to contribute much, skills-wise, on this trip as i'm a complete novice to survival stuff. but whatever i learn i'll readily pass on to others on the next one :)

No no no, I'm just forewarning you of a common environmental problem. Many people leave the paracord around the trunk which halts its growth because paracord is so strong the tree can't snap it.

actually guys Ive just remembered some ( apperently pleasing to the eye ) hills near and around Charing , chartam , canterbury .
I see them whilst driving on the Canterbury road on the A28 and the hills look lovely , and out of normal road reach so to speek .

Biddenden now thats a nice place , secluded near Pluckly the most famouse haunted place in Britian .

Surely something could be organised sooner than that? All that is needed is a campsite near some woods and any weekend.

A helluva a lot is going to happen in the next four months and I've a feeling you won't be able to drive anywhere soon. People need these skills now.

Why not a meetup every Saturday or Sunday at a pre-arranged spot? Anybody can turn up and we all traipse off into the woods with our books on survival at the ready. First we all build an SAS type A frame shelter and then a campfire. Somebody could maybe get some dead rabbits from a butcher and we could have a demonstration of skinning and gutting and then cooking.
