I came across this rather interesting article. Apparently, our solar system is actually part of the Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy. It seems our solar system is about to be gobbled up by the Milky Way, causing great changes at around 2012.

that's interesting.
by the way, the word "galaxy"...
galaxy
c.1384, from L.L. galaxias "Milky Way," from Gk. galaxis (adj.), from gala (gen. galaktos) "milk" (see lactation). The technical astronomical sense emerged 1848. Fig. sense of "brilliant assembly of persons" is from 1590. Milky Way is a translation of L. via lactea.
"See yonder, lo, the Galaxyë Which men clepeth the Milky Wey, For hit is whyt." [Chaucer, "House of Fame"]
...means "milky"

Fascinating...
There are other levels of meaning in the languages we speak. It can be good to stop and ponder the deeper tapestry of meaning.
Thanks,

QUOTE(Isa 65)
17 ¶ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

There seems to be a contradictory opinion.
If I posted an erroneous article, I apologize. But, my "spidey sense" tells me the debate might just be beginning.

2012 is coming, but then, so was 2000.
Its interesting, but like the millenium bug, we'll see when it happens. or not.

Those links to information about the Sag dwarf galaxy are fascinating, thank you very much for posting them.. If you have ever heard of the book "the Cygnus Mystery" by Andrew Collins, he refers in it to the importance of these satellite galaxies and the origins of life on earth.. worth a look and surely connected to this new discovery.

Hehe :) Nice. I have once thought watched shows about how the galaxies are in movement just like everything else and how galaxies sometimes collide. It made me wonder if it could happen to us then? Well, maybe it could... and maybe we will find out in this lifetime
I dont really fear change though, and if this is happening, I guess we can only hope that we wont have some solar system or planet come crashing into Earth.
