About the Great Brotherhood of Light

Part I

Welcome and Introduction

Welcome to this section on the Great Brotherhood of Light! Here, we would like to share with you our yet limited knowledge of a wonderful body of highly advanced souls who are the inspiration of this website and willingly guide us through the troubled situations of the world today.

For over a century, the Great Brotherhood of Light has attempted to convey the Ageless Wisdom, long accepted in the East, to the western world.

In the 1830's the Lords Kuthumi and Hilarion launched the Spiritualist movement designed to enlighten the western world, gripped in the fear and pall of death, that there is indeed no death. People in the Far East and India already accepted this fact for centuries while those of indigenous societies possessed a natural gift to communicate with the dead.

The only way to convince the concrete western mind that there is no death was to have them speak directly to the dead. Mediums such as the Fox sisters and later Estelle Roberts (and Red Cloud) and Arthur Ford (and Fletcher) taught a skeptical population that there is indeed no death and allowed them to communicate with their loved ones on the other side. Even a very skeptical Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle became an advocate of Spiritualism after he was able to communicate through a medium with his beloved son who died in World War I. He traveled throughout the world during his post Sherlock Holmes days lecturing on spiritualism.

While Spiritualism was taking form and working its way into the mainstream of western thinking, Helena P. Blavatsky appeared on the scene first seemingly as another Spiritualist medium. After Henry Steel Olcott met her in New York, he observed that there was something much deeper to her "cover" as another Spiritualist medium. As the two collaborated and received direct instruction from the Masters Kuthumi, El Morya, Djwal Khul, and Sanctus Germanus, they published Isis Unveiled , a work that shook the foundations of religious thinking of that time and revealed that the basis of all religions on earth, no matter where or in what form they existed, found their origin in the ancient wisdom of the Great Brotherhood of Light. Thus, a modern embodiment of the Great Brotherhood of Light's teachings was initiated in the form of Theosophy during the last quarter of the 1800's until the present.

While Theosophy was taking root, the Great Brotherhood of Light opened yet another window of instruction through the writings of Alice A. Bailey, who received these incredible instructions clairaudiently from the Master Djwal Khul. These writings probed ever deeper into the teachings of the ancient wisdom of the Brotherhood and remain relevant until this day. The Arcane School continues to answer to the needs of those hungering for the truth.

Concurrently with the revelations of Theosophy and the Alice A. Bailey writings the Great Brotherhood of Light opened yet another window of light in the form of the "I AM" movement of Guy Ballard who received his revelations directly from the Great and Holy Master Sanctus Germanus during the tumultuous years of the two world wars. This was a short movement fraught with many earthbound problems yet it established in western thinking the position of the soul, the "I AM", the God within each and everyone. Mankind had so twisted this truth since the original teachings of the Masters Jesus and Gautama Buddha, that the "I AM" movement was able to re-seed this great, fundamental truth of the ancient wisdom in the western mind.

Following this movement came the Bridge to Freedom movement led by Geraldine Innocenti. Much of their work consisted of further revelations to mankind about the workings of the Great Brotherhood of Light and the teachings of specific Masters.

Then came the Summit Lighthouse movement of Mark and Elizabeth Prophet which did much in the 1960's and 70's to continue revealing the teachings of the Great Brotherhood of Light. The movement even established a University that focused on the teachings of the ancient wisdom.

Most recently, the Great Brotherhood of Light has sent forth what they call the "A-Team" comprised of mediums Sylvia Browne, George Anderson, James Van Praagh, and John Edward. These four were trained and launched to open the public's eyes to the world beyond and to remind the world-thought that there is no death. They receive wide media coverage and touch the hearts of many souls on earth.

In addition, the Great Brotherhood of Light has been behind the inspiration of many films recently, all with the touch of the other dimensions. This special genre of spiritual films are again designed to open the human mind to the great possibilities that are connected to us all in the other dimensions of the universe.

It is hoped that this website will provide yet another window of light through which further revelations and teachings of the Great Brotherhood of Light can reach the public, especially as we transit through a most difficult period in the earth's evolution.

In this section we'll cover in some detail the nature of the Great Brotherhood of Light, how this body communicates with their adepts, initiates and disciples on the earth plane, how their ideas infiltrate the thinking of the general public, and lastly, their constant conflict with their dark brethren.

What is the Great Brotherhood of Light?

The Great Brotherhood of Light is a body of very highly evolved beings who have attained to much higher levels than the ordinary human being and penetrated more deeply behind the veil of nature. They have realized, through initiation into the Mysteries of the Ageless Wisdom, higher states of existence. Such beings are called Masters, and those of the highest grade are believed to have attained the most sublime wisdom and knowledge that is possible for humanity in its present stage of evolution. As the spiritual Executives of God's plan, they oversee human and planetary affairs.

These Masters must not be confused with minor adepts, lamas, yogis, or hermits in India or Tibet, such as are described by ancient and modern travelers who have met them on rare occasions. The Masters of the Great Brotherhood of Light stand far higher in spiritual and intellectual knowledge. These Masters of the highest grade no longer need physical embodiment and retain a superior spiritual and intellectual wisdom devoted to the welfare of mankind.

The Great Brotherhood of Light is called by many names by many people. It is spoken of as the Spiritual Hierarchy, as the Abode of Light, as the Center where the Masters of the Wisdom are to be found, and as the Great White Lodge. Whatever name they are called, they act as Messengers of the Wisdom of God, Custodians of the truth as it is in Christ, and Those Whose task is to save the world, to impart the next revelation, and to demonstrate divinity. All of the world Scriptures bear witness to the existence of this center of spiritual energy.

(See "The Great Ones and the Way to Them" by Charles W. Leadbeater )

There are three levels of the Brotherhood as explained below:

Level I: The Hierarchy of Illumined Minds

The Hierarchy of Illumined Minds is a group whose telepathic powers enable them to be sensitive to the mind currents and to register the thoughts of those who personify the Mind of God, the Universal Mind. They have the power to work in and with all thought substance beyond our planetary body. These illumined ones carry out the ideas of the Divine Mind and are in telepathic rapport with the planetary Brotherhood responsible for the planetary conditions in the solar system, and comprise the Great Council Shamballa, a spiritual center beyond earth. They are in immediate telepathic rapport with each other.

Level 2: Hierarchy of the Masters

The Hierarchy of the Masters is an inner group of Masters, such as Sanctus Germanus, that works telepathically with their disciples in spirit and those in incarnation. Their main objective is to guide their incarnate disciples and initiates into the light of their own souls.

This Great Brotherhood of Light is thus a community of advanced souls who are swept by the desire to serve, urged by a spontaneous impulse to love, illumined by one pure Light, devotedly fused and blended into groups of serving Minds, and energized by one Life. Its Members are organized to carry out the Divine Plan for earth.

Level 3: Adepts, Initiates, Disciples in Incarnation who comprise New Group of World Server s

In every corner of the earth plane have been planted adepts, initiates, and disciples on various levels of advancement to carry out the good works of the Great Brotherhood of Light. When these individuals come to the realization of their mission on the earth plane, they devote themselves to unselfish service work with the Hierarchy of Masters in three ways:

1. In telepathic rapport with their Master and with other Masters with whom He is associated.

2. In power to communicate with each other at any time.

3. In sensitivity to the thoughts of humanity as a whole.

They comprise in a sense a miniature replica of the Brotherhood on earth. They are the working disciples of the world, the isolated initiates in the many world organizations and corporations. They are sometimes known as the New Group of World Servers.

These workers automatically respond to the telepathic sensitivity to the many Ashrams of the Masters and as this phenomenon gains a foothold on earth, it will lead to the recognition of a universal power and the state of mind of disciples of all degrees. This is being established quietly and without controversy at the present time. The revelation of unity through the power of thought is the glorious consummation of the work of the Brotherhood as all earthly adepts, initiates, and disciples, respond with the thought of oneness, of service and above all else of love.

How the Brotherhood Communicates with Their Disciples on the Earth Plane?

The Brotherhood must work through human instruments and thus the plan and the vision are subject to failure. But they never give up. If their message is received in a distorted or twisted manner, the enterprise is doomed. The Masters will just pick up from where they left off and try again with different instruments. In general, they contact humanity in the following manner:

First, the Great Brotherhood of Light, in accordance with laws of the Cosmic Cycles will cast into the minds of the so-called idealists who will form a movement or aggregation of thoughts. They choose a man or a group of men and sound forth into their minds some idea. The idea germinates and they soon embody it in other thoughts. As the idea gets transmitted to the dense material plane it loses a bit of its purity or wisdom as it becomes necessarily colored by the individuality of the thinker.

The concrete thinkers of the world pick up these thought-forms-- grasping the main outline of the idea - crystallize it and build it into more definite shape, into one that the general public can more easily apprehend. The thought-form has now reached the lower levels of the mental plane, and a further development becomes possible.

Those focused upon the astral plane seize upon it as desirable, transform it into an emotional appeal that becomes public opinion. The thought-form is now practically ready to take shape upon the physical plane, and we have the practical adaptation of an ideal to the needs of the physical life. It has been stepped down; it has lost much of its original beauty; it is not as pure and as lovely as when first conceived, and it is distorted from its original shape but it is, nevertheless, more adapted to public use and can be employed as a stepping-stone to higher things.

Second, human organizations then take hold of the ideal and implement it as they see fit. The Masters do not go any further with the ideas but leave the details of implementation to those on earth. To the disciple who is an organizer and transmitter of the Plan falls the work of filling in the details and of taking the necessary action. At this point, the disciple is subject to the same cosmic laws as his Masters in Their large endeavors. When he has to deal with people and manipulate the human equation, difficulties arise.

Disciples must know that humans working on his project fall into three groups:

a. Those who can sense the plan and are commissioned to work it out.

b. Those who can be used but who are blind to the greater issues.

c. Those who can sense nothing except those things that concern their own selfish interests.

The Masters can contact the first group and expect average success as they hear the sound and perceive parts of the Plan. As for the second group, the disciples of the world have to utilize them as best they can, always, of course guided by principle. The final group can only be used when necessary.

In order to sense the plan and the Master's guidance, the disciple must cultivate solitude. In solitude the rose of the soul flourishes; in solitude the divine self can speak; in solitude the faculties and the graces of one's higher self can take root and blossom in the physical personality. In solitude the Master can approach and impress upon the quiescent soul the knowledge that He seeks to impart, the lesson that must be learnt, the method and plan for work that the disciple must grasp. In solitude the sound is heard.

It's illuminati and satanism again in disguise, they use white as reverse symbolism, a good example is the Pope.
the symbol of destruction is the white dove flying down used by the OTO(Ordo Templi Orientis) not up towards the sky which represents peace
We don't need mediums or middle men to communicate with the spirits.

Solve-
You must learn to trust your own inner guidance and not rely on such transcripts to tell you what truth is. The aquarian age is about awakening ones own inner divinity- from within. There are many wolves in sheeps clothings. Truth is not what a persons words are- whether they claim to be a master, initiate or avatar!
It is that deeper resonance the is experienced withins ones heart.

I used the Hyperspace technique from Stewart Swerdlow, of visualizing the posting in pale Orange. Pale Orange is to get the ultimate truth in something.

If its true the color will not change. If its false the color will change.

In my case the color kept changing from pale orange to grey/dark red/dark or navy blue.

Just for the record, the O.T.O. symbolism does not represent "destruction". The dove descending downward represents the descent of spirit into matter, which brings life by animating dead matter.

On the Lamen

From the Spring 2010 e.v. issue of the Coph Nia Wand with thanks to Soror Adonai from our conversation on Easter Morn.

What do the symbols on the Lamen of Ordo Templi Orientis mean? This is a common question for many in O.T.O. and there seems to be no clear explanation given in any of the foundational documents. Let us examine the parts and composition in order to attempt to decipher the mystery of its meaning.
The Lamen itself is a vesica piscis which contains three separate symbols: An All Seeing Eye, a descending dove and a chalice containing the elements of the Mass. The Vesica piscis itself is a symbol of the feminine and probably in this context represents the church as bride. It is similarly used in more traditional ecclesiastical contexts as the Coat of Arms on the diocesan level and in the traditional architectural layout of cathedrals. In this way is also symbolizes the bishop as intermediary between God and his people, by his apostolic succession and from the people to God through the act of confirmation. Both the diocese and the church are physical manifestations of the Bishop Episcopal authority as his earthly realm over which he is sovereign and his seat of authority. Thereby the vesica enshrines apostolic succession in Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica. It should also be noted that the vesica is an important symbol within Freemasonry, as the traditional form of the collars of office. In this way both of the core modus operandi of O.T.O. are represented, its initiatory tradition as Mysteria Mystica Maxima and its ecclesiastical function as Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica.
The topmost symbol is the All Seeing Eye of God or Eye of Providence. It is, as is typical, contained within a triangle and from it rays of light emanate. In Masonic traditions it represents the Universal God or Great Architect of the Universe to which all are expected to ascent, be they Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu etc. It represents God the Father, as it is in its primary sense the God worshiped in the Temple of Solomon. That is Jehovah, but also in a non-pejorative sense the Demiurge, and in both these sense also IAO (1). In the O.T.O. lamen the eye is given a distinctly Egyptian form, harmonious with both the Egyptian affectations of the Rites of Memphis and Mizraim, which O.T.O. incorporates but also the Eye of Horus and the important role of Egyptian theological roots in Thelema and even the Golden Dawn from which Crowley borrowed so much. It has 24 rays, most probably to symbolize the 24 hours of the day, and to emphasize the Solar nature of God the Father as represented in Crowley’s theology.

“And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him” Mark 1: 10.

In the center of the Lamen, is the dove descending. This is unambiguously the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is often considered to be the feminine aspect of the deity (2). Though the term Pneuma is neuter in Greek the New Testament frequently uses feminine verbs with the Holy Spirit and the Hebrew term for spirit, taken in prophetic contexts by Christians to represent the Holy Spirit is Ruach a feminine noun; as is Shekhinah “the presence” taken to be an Old Testament reflection of phenomena experienced at Pentecost.

“be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” Matthew 10: 16 (3).

Finally we have the elements of the Mass, both traditional and heretical as in our Gnostic Mass. This is the body and blood of God; not God as father but God in his human form as Christ (4) the Son.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. I Corinthians 11

In this is the great controversy of transubstantiation, but in any case of reflection of the ritual instituted at Last Supper and carried on in agape feasts to the Eucharists of today. In this we, after and as the priest, partake and therefore become God. We are after all what we eat.
So in the end we see that the Lamen is a symbolical representation of the Holy Trinity as understood in a Gnostic and esoteric Christian sense. As it says in the anthem:

So from the Father to the Son
The Holy Spirit is the norm:
Male-female, quintessential, one,
Man-being veiled in Woman-form,
Glory and worship in the Highest,
Thou Dove, mankind that deifiest (5)

From the Father, that is the All Seeing Eye, to the Son, the elements of the Mass, is the Holy Spirit in the midst, exactly as represented in the Lamen of Ordo Templi Orientis.

Glory to Thee, true Unity
Of the eternal Trinity!

In it we also see the exoteric formula of the Mass, the priest invokes IAO who descends through the medium of the Holy Spirit into the elements of the Mass to transform them into the body and blood of God, making as it were the Priest and the congregants Gods though ingestion or Sons of God. In this reflection of the trinity also may be seen the officers of the Gnostic Mass itself, with the priest reflecting God the Father, the priestess the Holy Spirit and the deacon the Son.
It may also be that the cup and paten are symbols of our Lady Babalon, (6) and therefore a hidden form of the final He of the formula of Tetragrammaton; and, as the mother of us all, the symbol for the church and congregation, bringing us full circle to that which the vesica symbolized.

1. That IAΩ was used by the Greeks to represent Yahweh can been seen in the Greek texts found at Qumran, where it is a common translation, as in the passage from Leviticus: http://ccat.sas.upenn.edu/rak//lxxjewpap/4QLevB.jpg
2. Cf. the Pistis Sophia for Gnostic sources on this matter, familiar to Crowley and Reuss.
3. Compare Liber AL I: 57.
4. It may well be that the centrality of IX° to the formula of the O.T.O. may not merely be an ordinal numeric representation but the acronym of Ἰησοῦς Χριστός.
5. Vide Liber DCC, The Ship for further details on this formula as in manifests in the mythology of O.T.O.
6. For the Cup see Liber CLVI, for the Paten the holy sevenfold star of A.A. that is the exemplar of the Pantacle particularly in Book 4, pt. II.

I'm a former member of O.T.O., therefore I have firsthand knowledge of it. It is quite obvious to pretty much anybody that the O.T.O. is based, at least in part, on Freemasonry.
