View Full Version : evidence against traditional medicine

I thought it may be worth sharing my recent story which I feel provides direct evidence that traditional medicine is, at the very least, somewhat lacking.

I've had Crohn's disease most of my life (I'm 35 at present), and have been subjected to endless treatments courtesy of the NHS, the 'free' health service of the UK. This has been in the form of more drugs than I can remember and a number of surgical interventions. Hopefully this will give you something of a picture with which to frame the following.

OK, for the past 10 years I have suffered from on-going diarrhoea. Every doctor I have mentioned this to has basically said the same, that its just something I will have to live with as it is part of the illness I have and is not going to be cured. Over the past few years this has been the root problem that has led to 2 major operations to remove sections of bowel. Even when I have tried to explain that it was never part of my illness originally, I have not been listened to and have just heard the same speech about how I just have to live with it - something I don't think I'll ever find possible.

Recently I discovered some research articles on the internet about a probiotic yeast called Saccharomyces Boulardii which I bought. It is proven to flush out pathogenic bacteria from the digestive tract.

After taking them for ONE week I cured the 'incurable' diarrhoea that I was going to have to live with forever. I have continued taking them for the past couple of months along with some other carefully chosen supplements and am feeling better than I have for a long time.

A side issue arose soon after my 'miracle cure'. My doctors had prescribed a powerful immuno-suppressant to keep my disease in check. I've stopped taking them as I felt (physically rather than in my head) like they were about to kill me, and I'm talking in immediate terms rather than at some unspecified point in the future. My feeling here is that my immune system calmed down by itself as it was no longer having to fight whatever infection had been there and then the suppressants were close to shutting it down altogether.

Seems like a good result for you Kevink, more than I probably could understand. Keep at it and give us updates. And don't let the bastard doctors stop you from becoming an example.

After doing a lot of research into some medical problems I was having, and being very dissatisfied with my Doctor's assessment and treatment, I took it upon myself to do my own research. What I found is that there is a lot of undiagnosed sickness in our world now because so many foods contain high gluten GE wheat products. The human digestive tract is not designed to handle the large amounts of overly processed wheat gluten that our diets now contain, much less the GE wheat which is prevalent unless you only eat organic and "old world" wheat such as Spelt. It damages the lining of our intestinal tract. The symptoms range anywhere from skin rashes and dandruff, to IBS, to vitamin deficiences similar to what happens with Crohn's or Celiac's.

I have eliminated processed wheat and wheat gluten almost completely from my diet and added supplements that contain organic probiotics and I feel much better. In fact, I didn't even know I was having stomach troubles until I noticed the difference.

During my research I was dismayed to learn that medical schools do not teach nutrition to med students. The entire system is now based around drugs and that's what the students are taught - that there is a pill for everything. And it's the drug companies that now fund the grants that med schools rely on for funding. It's a giant conflict of interest.

It is amazing how our diet today is the cause of so many new illnesses, you almost start thinking there are people who wants it to be this way.

Tribes living in the nature of natural foods straight from mother nature has good teeth, very few diseases and the few they have far from lifethreatining. Cancer and diabetes unknown to them and they live at least 10 years longer than our median age of expected lifetime.

Ever heard of a tribe having problems with aids? From what I know of tribes they arent exactly living like monks and nuns, still not something they have to worry about.

There are quite a few people today that a very aware of the many faults and lacks in our healthcare system. Doctors arent taught, and probably even forbidden to give health tips about how to diet. At most they just say eat healthier and stay away from food that contains high amounts of sugar and fat, or dont drink too much alcohol. They wont go as far as telling what supplements are best for us though, because if they did that and did it well, they would be out of a job. Too many doctors have spent at least 5 years in school though and taught very well what their job is, and it isnt to be a consulting on how people should eat. Instead they have medicine to help you live with your illness.
