When Dermot died they erected this chair as a memorial to him:

Why the fuck would they do that?
His funeral sounded fishy as well, read about it here:

That chair looks evil! The sort of thing beelzebub himself would sit upon. I also notice the eye beneath the seat.

Yeah I agree - why would a seat with that sort of symbolism be erected for him? What's going on here?

Dermot was always against religion, his previous character, before father ted, use to make fun of it in protest. Apparently that made him controversial on the network and that character also made fun of politicians, including the prime minister of ireland, whom went to his funeral.
I wonder if the eye means that it was the Illuminati that killed him.

Could he have been a Freemason?

Was that his personal opinion or just characters he played? If it was the former, then it does make you think along those lines, especially with the symbology on the chair. Either way, it's such a shame he left us way before his time:(

I didn't realize it had been 9 years since he died. It doesn't seem that long ago, must be getting old.:(

That was his personal opinion. Reading up on him, it seemed like he really hated religion. His character before father ted was father trendy who comically made fun of it, it seems. He was also in a radio show where he mocked politics, media and business in Ireland. I really don't think he was a freemason, also, he wasn't inbred. You can read up on him on the second link that I gave.

Maybe there is more to this than meets the eye (no pun intended!) Although if you say he hated religion, then I find it strange that his funeral ceremony was so religious. Surely his loved ones would've known of his personal beliefs etc and acted upon them? Very weird:confused:

He was making a mockery of the Vatican and was a "Heretic" i would not be surprised if there is some level of Vatican/Romish involvement in the somewhat strange symbolism surrounding his death..

You know, it's so good to see shows like Father Ted and anything that makes mockery of bullshit. It makes me feel good on the inside and lightens me up. These shows don't last that long or when they get big they don't last thet long.
We had a show in Australia called the Glass House. It was around for a long time but ony in it's last year or two had it gone really poppular. They were making fun of everything especially politics. Cunt John "fuckwit" Howard didn't like it so they took it of the air. They had been doing this for around ten years, they started around the time when Howard first took office. So why didn't they take it off the air earlier? This has happened often in Australia, and it's always a politician who decides to literaly, blatantly get rid of it.
Whereas the shit, boring shows like M.A.S.H last for ever.
......and neighbours, home and away, everybody loves fucking raymond, nypd blue AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! !
STOP IT, IT HURTS!!!!!!!

Yeh, everybody loves raymond lasted forever, it never seemed to end. And how long have the soaps been around?
By the way, to all of you who don't live in Australia, there is NOTHING funny on our tv screens anymore. Maybe spick and specks. Australians have GOT to be the most boring and unfunny people in the world.

Are the Illuminati THAT petty?
Oh yes!
They go down to the finest detail, I notice this with other things. In other words, they also focus on the little things or what you might think are less significant. What do you expect from psychopaths?

This one shocks me , if you hadn't seen that chair then you would never guess that Dermot Morgan had been killed by the Illuminati , but having seen it I am totally convinced that he was. The giant frikkin EYE gives it away !
No-one else would guess either , so the Evil Ones are making it quite clear what happened !
Poor Dermot , he pissed someone off somewhere , probably some comment about child abuse and the Catholic Church I reckon.

I reckon it IS meant to be the Devil's throne , check out the ' horns ' on the back. Its really weird , it looks Satanic anyway. The balls are probably symbolism for ' Balls to you , Dermot '.
Anyone who lives in Dublin should go and firebomb that piece of crap !

This is syncronistic, I just went to my "User CP" link to change my signature with another quote from Father Ted and saw that mrguitarbear had just posted on this thread after it hadn't been used for a long time.

Please do, there should be enough demolitian experts down there that would be able to. If you live around there, make it known and destroy! Start the campaign!:)

Yeah, he doesn't have the chance to defend himself.
I originally only knew him from father ted, but when I researched into him, I learned more. Do you know where I can get clips of "father trendy", I tried utube a while ago, they had some but took them down. I wish the show father ted was more outspoken, they could have done so much more:D
I love the pedophile refferences, right where it hurts:)

Father trendy was his character before he did father ted. In wikipedia, if I remember correctly, he was in a sketch comedy show in ireland with that character, and was controversial, the station didn't like it even though he got good ratings.

ahhhhhhhh you're too clever father ted!
Now i remember father trendy ;) Mind you, that said, i never really saw him as father trendy that much, i guess i was too young back then lol
so that's kind of where they got the idea for father ted, or for him to play the part?
damn though, i don't know where you'll find clips of him as father trendy...my bro is a huge father ted/dermot morgan fan so maybe he might know something. i'll keep it in mind. :)

My favorite episode was the one where those Chinese people thought that Ted was a racist. The scene at the end with Father Jack in the Nazi uniform was hillarious! :D

I just saw the last episode of father ted that I haven't seen before, "Grant Unto Him Eternal Rest", I miss that show (already), religion (today's) needs to be made fun of.
"ahh, look at that, smooth as a baby's behind" - "yeah, you'd know something about that ted now, wouldn't you?"
We need more shows like that.
