Hi
I have just started an allotment and put in loads of hours digging to get it
clear of weeds.
Finally this weekend it was ready and I planted my 1st apple tree a real big moment for me as it was the start of something special and I saved up to buy it.
Sunday I returned and some bas***d had dug it up and stolen it
I was so upset I couldn't believe it.
I understand some stuff will go missing but a whole tree!!!
Part of me wanted to give up there and then especially when people thought it looked like someone form the allotment stole it due to the care taken removing it.

That is seriously bad news. When the food shortages bite, will we be seeing a lot more of this?

Like I said to someone earlier, it's hard to believe we're all part of such a thing called 'Infinite Consciousness' when there are so many ASSHOLES around.

Shit man that sucks. You really planted a apple tree on an allotment? You know that they can take an allotment off you any time they like. All they need to say is you aren't doing enough weeding and the seeds will go on the other allotments and bang you loose your plot plus all your plants. I would suggest getting your own land. I know it is hard but think long term. You want to have apple trees that will be around for your kids too and more space so you can have lots of different trees and somewhere with good people around that would not dream of stealing from you. A place where you can live there too close to your plants and animal friends. I have heard that stealing peoples crops is real bad. Your apple tree might decide to make some arsenic filled apples for the thief to eat.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I knew people would steal stuff and I kind of didnt mind, seeds are cheap so if I lost a few bits that OK but I really didnt think someone would take a whole plant so I cant get anything from it at all.
To think that I might be sharing an allotment with someone who would do this is even worse as we are all in the same boat stuff gets knicked all the time here (usually tools) and the people I have spoken to so far have all seem really nice.
