I used to be a major carnivore, now it kind of sickens me. Can't help but see some animal as a mother or daughter now. It never bothered me before as I have always viewed meat eating as a part of nature, if it is good enough for a lion then it is good enough for me. Now I am not so sure. WTF??? Is my unborn child a vegetarian or has my perspective changed?

Hi anoninnyc, lovely to hear how your going. How many months are you now? Are you showing yet? Does it seem that you are carrying high in the tummy or is baby starting to show low down like in bladder area?
The no meat eating thing happened to me too. At first it freaked me out as I thought this baby is a vego, same as you. But upon hindsight, I realise, (and I can only make suggestions as there is not documentation of any sort on this topic or looked at from my point of view) but, I think that when we come thru as spirits or souls, we are in our natural form of our original original. So if we are to look at the human form, our teeth are not carnivore, we have mulching teeth therefore we are herbivores (as you know). Therefore, our original state of being would be vegetarian. So because, when we carry another, we have a form of dual spirituality ( I was told by one of my old people that spirit comes to foetus around 10 to 12 weeks) freaky because from this time on I was repulsed by meat and animal fats. Its almost like baby demands a better standard and because they are more pure than us and we are trailing behind, they win over and will not except shit into the system. That's my upshot on it. And really when one is pregnant one is very close to life and death, we have brushed paths with creation, because of this I had visions during the day, wild dreams and night and 80% were predictive. I couldn't eat anything except fruit and veg, and I craved Rieneck beer (wots that about?), and kina. Kina is a Maori sea food, I think the Euro's call them sea urchins? i almost drowned my partner at the time as he was diving to try and get me some and kept coming up empty handed and I was so strung out from hormones I kept pushing his head under saying "try again" very funny it was.
Now don't worry about it because it soon passes after baby is born and your back to eating meat again and when baby wants some real food (mine was when he was 9 mths) they like meat. Now, let me say, I wasn't pleased about this, I have wanted to be a vegetarian for most of my adult life and was sad to be in a position where meat was the fastest easiest cheapest way of getting iron. Where we live, is in the country, my farther was a hunter gatherer and it was what ever came in the door hoofs or fins. Most of the Maori here are hunter gatherers and have a intimate relationship with nature, so its all or nothing. My brother cousins female and male all hunt and fish. Ok our meat is more organic but still I feel I need to get rid of meat out of my diet. I will, just gotta stop mucking around.
I'm glad to hear from you darling goddess of life, and I hope you stay well and happy. Remember the music, keep singing and laughing.
love and light

Something must have changed in your body that's making you repel from meat. It's strange but I've suddenly developed and lost likes and dislikes. I used to hate baked beans as a kid, but now love them. I suddenly totally became disgusted by sherry when I always loved it.
There's a theory that whatever you eat and drink, your body takes from it what it needs and discards the rest (therefore overweight is caused by unblananced and toxic food rather than an excess of calories). It also makes you crave or reject various things. One sign of overdose of fibreless carbohydrates is that you will crave sugary stuff to compensate for the imbalance.

Hi there, thanks for your concern and theories. I am five months now, carrying low and I am showing very much. I am not a tall or a big girl in any way so I appear even more pregnant than I am. All is well so far.

oh my, this seems very interesting!! can you say something more about this theory?? this has been a big dilemma in my life: always a bit extra fat on the belly even if my calory intake should be in order. i don't eat too much and still have a few extra kilos

hi xenia, your body will store toxins if you're not drinking/eating enough alkaline substance. Digestion creates acid, so acidic foods have no way of being neutralised and processed through the body... so it stores it as fat. All fat is toxins. As far as craving go, they also occur as the body starts to detoxify, which dislodges the toxins into the blood ready for disposal... the uncomfortable sensation of toxins in the blood creates craving for the same substance, unconsciously knowing that eating those foods will switch the body from detoxing mode into digestion mode.... kind of pacifying the problem and making it worse in the long run.

I love playing the guessing game, hope you don't mind, but you'll probably have people guessing what gender the whole way thru, and you'll be totally over it by the 7th mth. Buuuut I think you might be having a girl. How absolutely exciting. All the best and I'll be waiting for your next post.

Uhhhh, all fat's are not toxins, unless you are trying to say that your brain is toxic, which is made up mostly of fat. Fat does have a very important function in the body, the bad fat is ususaly created by excessive eating of carbohydrates or eating bad fat. Bad fat stems from eating lots of carbs, so if you are eating an animal that eats lots of carbs you guess that you are eating something very scimilar in nutrition to an average american, esspecialy since most of these animals are also fed tons and tons of antiboiotics and other animals plus growth hormones. If you have a little girl in america, feeding her factory made meat and meat products is one of the worst things you can do.
+++The idea that you need beef to get iron is proposterous. beef has 3 times as much iron as most fish, but not all that much more than spinach, broccoli, collard greens etc. around the same as hemp seeds, 2/3 less than certain kinds of inexpensive mushrooms and 1/10 as much as eatable butterfly cattapillers.
this is all in serving btw. Also, can't remember what kind of beans but I am pretty sure black beans or red beans or fava or lima? one of those can't remember.

It's something Anastasia says in one of the "Ringing Cedars of Russia" books, but I've also read it in Nexus, I think.
The idea is that if you eat the right balance of natural, organic foods your body will stay at its optimum weight. This might not be supermodel skinny, but then that's just a conformist hard-sell anyway; it has no medical basis! If you're an endomorph, naturally chubby, then you'll have to tolerate being chubby because if you lose any more weight you could harm yourself.
The calorie problem comes from the way we eat food stripped of its nutritional value by modern farming and processing. Basically, we eat too many "junk calories" which the body can neither process nor use: fibreless carbohydrates and fructose (white sugar) instead of natural glucose. Chemicals in foods also interrupt the digestive enzymes.

i agree with this. many years ago i lost quite a bit of weight and kept it off (well until i became pregnant) just by giving up refined carbohydrates (sugar, white bread, white pasta, etc.).

Very true, 80% of the american diet is made up of 4 plants, wheat, rice, soy and corn. Facsism for breakfast lunch and dinner! Organic in America really isn't all that much better with the new usda laws. However, it can never be as bad as the growth hormones they put in meat, esspecialy in cow's milk that are used to cause the cows utters to swell up twice in size. This is bad for your health, plus the cows who actualy produce enough blood and pus in their infected utters from the oversizing that they have to die the milk white.
The best thing you can do is suport farmer's markets and csa's, did you know before the fall of the soviet union, 50 percent of the food was made by underground illegal farmers. The soviet union is the greatest comparison of our food economy that has existed.
CSA=Community Suported Agriculture, pay a certain ammount and pick up a box of fresh veggies every week.
++Swiss Chard and Beat Greens I belive also has tons of Iron

We have the same scheme in the UK. There are several comapnies that do it and this is the one I use:
http://www.abel-cole.co.uk/default.aspx?icid=G115-11469964-011KEVAPPC14631=G
It's 100% organic and comes from farms not outside your home county.
If your interested in Russian agriculture you'd enjoy the Ringing Cedars books. Anastasia pays homage to the "Dachniks", people who own "Dachas". Dachas are small rural estates that millions of Russians own, even those who live in the big cities like Moscow or St Petersburg. They are usually less than 5 acres and any crops grown there are tax-free. They emerged out of necessity. Russia has been plagued by famine many times throught its history, even during recent times, like in the early 1990's just after the fall of the Soviets and the rise of the Oligarchs. Oeople have been so hungry that the only solution was to grow their own food in plots in the country. The Dachas have saved many lives for hundreds of years.
In 2003 President Putin renewed the Dacha rights. Under the revised law, all citizens are entitled to a "piece of the Motherland" of one hectare, free and untaxable. Taking into account Russia's population, this will cover about half the nation's arrable land. Even now, according to Anastasia, the Dachas produce almost half the nations crops and some Dachniks have become rich exporting them. Dachniks tradtionally grow crops organically and treat the soil with natural fertilizer, usually their own shit, and these plots have a higher yeild than almost any other land in the world! People all over the world can taste the difference between vegetables grown on a dacha and thoase grown on Russia's modern intensive farms.
