You poor thing....toothache is the pits! :(

Other than cloves (concentrated oils of cloves is best), all I can suggest is strong alcohol swilled in the mouth and left on the tooth for a while. Whisky is good as is brandy......and if it helps you can swallow it too. :p

Good luck!

a bucket load of high grade skunk.....;)

toothache is a real pest  there is no escape from a pain in your head.

try & stay active, its when your relaxing the pain will hit you worst.

TBH.... there is no natural escape ive found that will completely defeat toothache, except the dreaded trip to the dentist :p

Just kidding ;)

Yeah, really, either codeine or alcohol are the only things I can think of. You can get codeine painkillers from the chemist if you can be bothered with a trip out =)

If I were you though, I'd just get a bottle of scotch and get shitfaced. I've never had a toothache, thankfully, but I have a feeling they aren't pleasant.

Dont know if smints are available in UK, but they defenitly do work. It recovers the glaze on your teeth. Its the Xilitol that does that quite rapidly.
http://www.uniquereviews.com/smint-breath-mints.htm
Soon as the glaze has recoverd the pain will be gone.
Good luck, and do visit the dentist.

it's nothing to do with a short attention span. It's called reading what you want to read :D Surely you meant my own head. We'd already established who's arse it was.

If you don't buy the "fizzy" drinks, who's buying them for you then? :D

The key to toothache is distraction - once its out of mind it can ease off for hours (till you think about it!!).

Best way I've found is put a bit of toothpaste (non-flouridatedm, obviously!!) on the tooth or around the gum because the mintyness overrides the pain - and then try and not think about it! Hopefully, you'll have a good 10 minutes as the mintyness is there and by the time that fades - you'll have forgot about the pain!

Don't overdo it tho as eventually the mintyness will start to burn!

This works

Garlic - you need the core - the purple / green centre

Get a decent size of the core - bite down on this on the problem tooth for about 10 mins.

It will take away the pain - sometimes permanantly.

I'm just getting rid of my latest tooth abscess and just yesterday I discovered the miracle of bicarbonate of soda. Lick your finger, dip it in and smother the offending tooth.

In a dropper bottle place a tablespoon of water, add to this two drops of your own urine, with the top on give this mixture a good shake for about ten seconds.Put four drops of the bttle under the tongue every hour until the infection has gone.Works every time, the pain will ease within about fifteen minutes.

I know its a hard thing to grasp but this recipie has saved me on many occassions.I have known a lot of people with this agonising pain due to an abcess and the thick ,arrogant bastards, pardon the language, would sooner go through the pain than take this remedy, apart from one lady and she could not thank me enough. We are all conditioned to think of urine as something that is dirty when infact its not,its sterile.Mr rockerfella does not want you to know as he wants you to buy his Antibiotics instead. Please try it it really does work.YOUR VERY OWN PERFECT MEDECINE!

I had a toothache just yestoday... 0.o
I read on the net on wiki how - how to get rid of a toothache.
It told me to chew raw onions with the tooth that was aching. I must admit it worked but it left a foul taste in my mouth, also ruining my taste for food for a while. :|

My advice is to; eat an apple or some fruit,
brush around the aching tooth properly,
not to fiddle around with it,

if that doesnt work - try the onion thing. Might work

Peace - hope that helps

Put some fresh organic bud or leaf on the tooth. Also, check this out, chew on a stick of Ceylon cinnamon. It worked perfectly to take away my tooth ache.

I have had a toothache since Sunday as I had a filling come out of a wisdom tooth. The pain got unbearable, so much so that it was causing ear pain and eye pain

Yesterday a friend suggested that I sit a clove on the infected area so I gave this a tried as I had a few in a jar in my kitchen.
Within minutes the pain was gone :D

I highly recommenced that you try this, it won't cure the pain overall and in the end you will still have to see a dentist but it will numb the pain so much that you will almost forget about it.

Since using cloves I have started to get back to having regular sleeps which was something that I couldn't do for day.

Let me know how you go and good luck.

I no this is a little late as the dentist has sorted it for you. However, there are emergency filling kits you can buy at the chemist. They are expensive, but will provide a lot of applications should you be unfortunate to suffer more than one filling loss.
