The vaccine is being given here in Nottingham right now, the letters GPs are sending out are very fear-mongering. They word them to make the threat seem very common and say that even when you have had the vaccination it does not protect you from 'other cervical cancers' and say that you should still go in and have smears

I don't think what you're saying is cruel, it's just a fact. Countless people around the world deal and come to terms with on a daily basis having a terminal illness and have to find courage and resilience and be brave and get their affairs in order in their final months/weeks/days.

Like you say, it's funny how she's gone from one of the most hated TV personalities to practcially adored because of the way she's seen to be dealing with her cancer.

On TV tonight, OK! magazine publicised the Jade wedding special edition ("the most heartbreaking wedding of the year") - a whole edition of the magazine devoted to the Jade story.

I for one a not included in the millions that crave fame,but i understand the point your making. It saddens me to think that people around gaza and other parts of the world deserve the attention of the public than just one(in my opinion)unsavoury,narrowminded,annoying,gobby,vola tile,disrespectful and slightly mental person.
Many people have said"oh,you'd do the same"which seems to be the mentality of many. I just wonder how much she has poured into charities relating to the illness.


Jade was an underdog in Big brother at the start with national hatred,now she's like some kind of idol,all influenced by the media.I hope people read this thread as it is evidence that the media can make or break anything or anyone if they choose to do so. And as for the companies that are profiteering from her disgusting but, she mustve gave them permission i would have thought.
Needless to say it looks like there's somekind of agenda being pushed here relating to the illness maybe the injections or something medical.
Personally i wouldnt have gone down the Jade Goody route and im sure her poor children will be looked after comfortably with or without money she leaves them,and i assume she's made a few quid before her illness was discovered probably more than i would in a lifetime.

The British press are famous for building someone up and knocking them down, they destroy lives without remorse with there lies, many stories are made up or exaggerated just for impact so i dont believe all that i read. I don't know Jade personally so i cannot comment on the sort of person she is, although i believe she comes from a working class background probably without much money. If a opportunity is there to make money and it comes easy we take it...not to do so is to be honest is stupid (so she aint that uninteligent) maybe you are lucky enough to have a good job but i doubt she could ever be in that position. if a newspaper come to you and offerd you £20.000 for a interview would you do so?. yes there is problems all over the world such as gaza but jade's story is happening to a person we all feel like we know and it and is part of the many cogs that make this world go around. just because this story means nothing to you there are others that want to know and are intersted and care what happens to her.

Currently, 1200 women in UK die from the disease per year, yet they want to vaccinate 50% of the population. It doesn't make sense. Reminds me of the time KateMcCann claimed in the paper than she had been visited by Maddy's ghost until someone pointed out that she would have to be dead for her to have a ghost and didn't Kate and Gerry say she was kidnapped? Then the McCann PR machine put out a bogus image of the "aductor" and the sheeple forgot what she said.

I have no doubt that death by cancer is more important to Jade Goody than not being famous.

hallucinations! I dont think the Painkillers are doing that (What they got her on LSD?) It's the cancer starting to affect her brain. She'll be in a coma in a couple of weeks! (at the most) Then that's it, over!
