Did you know Wal-Mart has been given over 1.2 billion dollars of public money
in the form of tax breaks, free land, infrastructure assistance, low-cost financing
and outright grants from state and local governments around the country.

Why is that?

Here's an interesting web site that keeps track of this mystery money:

And, here's some interesting general tidbits about our pal Wal-Mart:

Walmart would'nt, by some chance, have "donated" to bush's election fund?

They employ a good deal of the U.S. workforce, sell cheap foreign goods, keep a close watch on all customers and those who enter, and they serve as dual use facilities.

oh, this has been going on for more than 20 years. i saw wal-mart open store after store, marching across illinois into downtown chicago (where they finally encountered some resistance, i must say), putting small pharmacies out of business in town after town, then raising their prices when there was no more competition. wal-mart has accelerated the dry-rot of small town america more than any other single factor, imo.

i think it's more due to local politicians who didn't want to be percieved as 'losing' the 'big deal'.

Just like all of the evil multi-billion companies.

The Walt Disney Company, Starbucks Coffee, GameStop, Time Warner, and Microsoft. They get millions of dollars of public money to build new stores. They keep on expanding and take over small family independent business stores. In Alhambra, CA, the people there have been protesting to not to build Wal-Mart in Alhambra, so instead they build it near Montebello and the supercenter is large, they have taken all of the empty landmass that was once there 3 years ago. Now, lots of people go there now to buy shit. Walnut street used to be quiet and less cars running. Now, the street is packed, well sort of.

Disney too is starting to build another Disneyland resort park in Mainland, China. They are going to carbon copies to the same original Disneyland in California. Disney is everywhere, it manipulates children and most adults alike that Disneyland is the "Happiest Place on Earth." Man, the Illuminati are so good. That it is easy to brain-wash the citizens into Disney. They are very easy to control and they will argue, if you are against Disneyland/Disney.

Eh, it happens all the time. We all get used to it. HELL! I still have a soft spot for the first original Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. Because I went there when I was 6 months old and I still remember it........

Well they are helping the small companies to go out of business. lol
Not that I shop there when I can avoid it. I hate Asda, with their petty little rules like you cant join the lottery/cig counter with two food items on a Saturday but you can on a Monday if the fat guy is serving - well not quite but almost.
Give me small local shops anyday.

Interesting post.

Our local asda is now part of the wal-mart family, what a bunch of rats.

Their prices are going very high already.

I have been secretely filming rotten meat and dangerous electrical wiring and am building a case against them.

What a cockroach family the Walmarts are!

How can you be mad at Wal-Mart? They always have that nice old person that smells like rotten potatoes greeting you at the door in some kind of poverty stricken downtrodden haze. Doesn't that make a difference? Plus that, they all look the same as the people on the commercials, it's like you're a part of the advertising! How quaint!

because 'someone' wants small business to be destroyed, just like they want family to be destroyed. and, small business is often ran by the family, for the families, and this is a form of community network where people serve each other by being consumers and sellers.
and, money goes from hand to hand and it stays in community.
anything that makes people independent, that empowers them, that allows them to network with each other, and anything that gives them choice needs to go, according to desires of the elite.

that is why Sam the Masonic Satanic Cunt Walton type of the business is
subsidized by the elite, and i am sure that favors are exchanged back at election time or even under the table kickbacks.

If I remember correctly, from when I was younger, the old Wal-Mart logo was just that, WAL-MART. Now it's WAL*MART with a five-pointed star. Or has it always been that way?
