Hi!
I would love to share some enlightened art with you. My favourist artist on this subject is Alex Grey (alexgrey.com). Do you notice his logo? ;)
Maybe this thread could be dedicated to this subject. Please post more tips and links.

This is the guy who illustrates David Icke's books. I went to an exhibition of his in London once and it was fantastic!
Alex Grey is good too. I first saw him when I read "DMT- The Spirit Molecule". He drew the cover.
by art, i take it you mean all modes, not just the visual.
i'm stumped. i've seen spiritual art, lively art, conventionalized art, but i've never seen enlightened art. i went to see "hustle and flow", with terence howard. quite a tour de force as a film and as a performance piece, to me. completely in the moment as an actor. kind of like robert duvall in "the apostle". as a performance artist, being in the present moment is what it's all about. i can't become a good actor until i become a good listener.
i also ran across this today. i think this is my new av. :)

i've been a fan of r. crumb since the early 70's, when i was in middle school. i saw a documentary on him last year. what a heartbreaking story, of this completely dysfunctional, brilliant family. crumb's talent and absorption in his craft pulled him from the brink, but with those types of memories and damage to the psyche, one rarely recovers. we're talking about intense physical and emotional abuse before the age of verbalization.
it seems too often that great art is born out of great pain. my own grandmother was an artist who ran away from home twice, leaving my mother, her brother and father to fend for themselves, all before my mother was able to drive (my mom started driving when she was 14 years old). my mom is a pretty fair craftsperson, and has supported herself from a number of years. me? well, i doodle. :)
