Ever wondered what that is on top of the Capitol Building? Well, me too! This thread is a work in progress, but here's a starter...

On top the Capitol Building in DC is the Statue of Freedom. I don't really know who she's supposed to be. They say that she represents an allegorical figure from "Freedom triumphant in War and Peace." Interesting interpretation. Who is the author of this allegory? Anyone know?

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/statueoffreedomcapitol.jpg

The crown of stars and crested Roman helmet are particularly interesting to me. Also, her base is encircled with fasces.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/freedomwithfasces.jpg

Clearly a Roman figure, and she reminds me a lot of the Roman Goddess, Minerva - Goddess of war, amongst other things. What say you?

How about Semiramis?

Ok, so not a statue, but we're still in the Capitol building. This is about the painting inside the Rotunda.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/c_rotunda_1.jpg

It's called The Apotheosis of Washington. Now, I don't know about you, but I didn't know what the word "Apotheosis" meant. So, I looked it up, and this is what I found.

Main Entry: apo·the·o·sis
Etymology: Late Latin, from Greek apotheOsis, from apotheoun to deify, from apo- + theos god
1 : elevation to divine status : DEIFICATION
Merriam-Webster Online (http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/apotheosis)

Let's take a closer look at the painting...

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/apoth_center.jpg

Yes, there Washington is, with his dark eyes. This is a description of the fresco:

Brumidi depicted George Washington rising to the heavens in glory, flanked by female figures representing [goddesses] Liberty and Victory/Fame. A rainbow arches at his feet, and thirteen maidens symbolizing the original states flank the three central figures...
Source (http://www.aoc.gov/cc/art/rotunda/apotheosis/apoth_center.cfm)

Flanked by a couple of Roman goddesses. Wow! No sign of Jesus Christ anywhere, and this is supposed to be a Christian country? Oh wait, silly me, it's says "One Nation under God", but they don't say which god, do they? I think that it's very VERY clear that it's not the God that most Americans think it is.

Interestingly, Washington is in a similar pose to a statue depicting him in the style of Zeus (http://www.smithsonianlegacies.si.edu/objectdescription.cfm?ID=66). Not really surprising, is it?

Yeah, one and the same person it seems...

In the National Statuary Hall (The Old Hall of the House) at the Capitol, there are two statues. The first one is of Liberty and the Eagle.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/libertyandeagle.jpg

They forget to mention the reptile in the title, even though it seems to be an important part of the piece. This is the official description:

...An American eagle stands to Liberty's right, and the scroll in her right hand is the Constitution of the United States. To her left a serpent, the symbol of wisdom, is entwined around a section of a column.
Source (http://www.aoc.gov/cc/art/liberty_and_eagle.cfm)

The next statue is the Car of History.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/carofhistory.jpg

The official description of this one is:

Clio, the Muse of History, stands in a winged chariot representing the passage of time and records events as they occur. The car rests on a marble globe on which signs of the Zodiac are carved in relief. The chariot wheel is the face of the clock; its works are by Simon Willard.
Source (http://www.aoc.gov/cc/art/car_of_history.cfm)

Clio is the daughter of the god Zeus. I find it interesting that she would be inside this building "recording history". See, what that tells me is that OFFICIAL HISTORY is not what's happening out here...

Also, don't you find it interesting that they have the Zodiac in a place like this? There is even a corridor called "Zodiac".

This is Fame and Peace [depicted as goddesses] crowning George Washington.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/fameandpeacecrowninggw.jpg

This is Washington, again. This bronze sculpture is part of the National Statuary Hall Collection. It's interesting to me how often the FASCES shows up.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/washingtons.jpg

Main Entry: fas·ces
Pronunciation: 'fas-"Ez
Function: noun plural but singular or plural in construction
Etymology: Latin, from plural of fascis bundle; akin to Latin fascia
: a bundle of rods and among them an ax with projecting blade borne before ancient Roman magistrates as a badge of authority
[fasces illustration]
Source (http://www.m-w.com/mw/art/fasces.htm)

So, Washington was deified as a god. An authoritative god. As everyone knows, Washington was a Freemason, and there is even a plaque at the Capitol to commemorate this fact.

I just want to touch on the Astrology thing again for a minute. There might be some of you that don't know this, but Ronald Reagan had a full time Astrologer at the White House by the name of Joan Quigley. She was a friend of Nancy's and was consulted before any major event. The president's schedule was organized according to what Joan said.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/quigley.jpg

Does this seem strange to you? It shouldn't because it's not the first time, nor will it be the last, I'm sure. It is reported that Nixon sometimes consulted an astrologer/psychic named Jeane Dixon.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/dixonnixon.jpg

I'm sure there are others, and that it's nothing new. I just wonder how many so-called Christians and supporters of the Reagan era actually know (or acknowledge) that their president was influenced by astrology, and to what extent...

This is a photo of Reagan's casket lying in state in the Rotunda of the Capitol.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/reaganlayinstate.jpg

Reagan's remains lay in state June 9-11, 2004 (6-9/11-6). Probably means nothing but it caught my eye.

The last person to lay in state in the Rotunda was the Freemason president, Gerald R. Ford, Jr. I was going to post a link to a video clip of the Freemasonic ritual (salute) while his body lay in state, but I see that YouTube has removed it. Utterly pathetic YouTube! (If anyone has this video saved somewhere, please share it with me.)

This photo is Ford's casket at the National Cathedral in Washington DC.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/fordcoffin.jpg

In the front row, from left to right, we see:

Former secretary of state, Henry Kissinger
Former secretary of defense, Donald Rumsfeld
Former federal reserve board chairman, Alan Greenspan
Former secretary of state, James Baker
Former national security adviser, Brent Scowcroft

I could go into detail about each one of these loomie monsters, but all you have to do is pick up And The Truth Shall Set You Free (http://www.davidickebooks.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=5) and you'll find more than enough info on these cold-blooded creatures.

This is the Capitol Crypt. It's located beneath the Rotunda.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/crypt.jpg

The large circular area on the first floor of the Capitol is called the Crypt. The forty Doric columns of brown stone surmounted by groined sandstone arches support the floor of the Rotunda...The star in the center of the floor denotes the point from which the streets in Washington are laid out and numbered.
Source (http://www.aoc.gov/cc/capitol/crypt.cfm)

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/dcstar.jpg

I'm not certain that this is it, but this was the only photo I could find that claimed to be the star on the crypt floor of the DC Capitol Rotunda. If someone can confirm it, I'd appreciate it. If it is not the right star, I'd rather remove it than mislead anyone.

This frieze is one of a three-part design found at the U.S. Senate Chamber in DC. As you can see, it's "Wisdom". Interesting that she's holding the torch of illumination.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/wisdom.jpg

Clearly a goddess, and she reminds me A LOT of Athena, primarily because Athena was known as the goddess of wisdom (amongst other things) and also because of her pet owl, usually her trademark.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/Bronze_Athena_with_owl.jpg

That style of owl is taken from a small silver coin called a Tetradrachm, which dates from Greece in the middle of the fifth century BC.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/owlig.jpg

On the one side is the Goddess Athena, and the other side is her pet owl perched on an overturned amphora.

The other two pieces that make up this frieze 'trilogy' is Courage...

...and Patriotism.

I still haven't seen one image of Jesus. Clearly the religion of these people is NOT Christianity. It's not Judaism, Hindu or Islam either. I have seen ONE image of Moses and so far that's the only reference I've seen to any mainstream religion.

The Statue of Liberty was created by French Freemason Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. When the massive statue arrived in the USA on October 28th 1886, President Grover Cleveland accepted the statue and said in part: "We will not forget that Liberty has here made her home; nor shall her chosen altar be neglected."

Yes, it all makes sense doesn't it? Her chosen altar is not Christianity, is it?

Now, while it is true that the ORIGIN of the word is indeed obscured and clouded in secrecy, it is primarily because Obeah, as implied above, is in itself clouded in secrecy --- being the remnant of a once very powerful and celebrated SECRET religious Order lost in the mist of time. Even so, slowly over the years clues have surfaced that indicate THAT particular secret religious Order emanated from a certain general geographical area. Those clues, few in number that they may be, strongly point to the fact that the Order originated in or around an area where the Egyptian language was either born, dominant, or used by the priests or religious class --- much as Latin is used by certain religious orders today --- with the power and knowledge of Obeah maintained and rising from the underground ashes of that dispersed Order over the centuries. Considering such a background, it is very probable the etymology of the word sprang from the Egyptian word Ob or Aub, meaning "serpent." Oph is a winged serpent or dragon; and Ab means wisdom/understanding, and together means "Serpent of Wisdom" or "Serpent of Knowledge." To this day Obion is still the Egyptian name for a serpent.

The constellation was called Ophicius (in Greek) and Serpentarius (in Latin). Both names mean 'snake-holder', and refer to the pythoness, the high priestess of the goddess temples.

Even though YouTube removed the clip of the Masonic tribute at Gerald Ford's funeral, I found it elsewhere. Here is a screenshot of a Freemason with his pantleg rolled up.

The Greek word drakõn [1], 'serpent', is related to the word drakos, meaning 'eye'

This is the US Supreme Court in Washington DC. The style of this building is Neoclassical Greek Revival

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/SupremeCourt.jpg

The pediment above the sixteen marble columns has some interesting characters sitting up there.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/jutldc.jpg

Who do you think the center three look like?

To me, the center figure is clearly a goddess. Take your pick...she could be Liberty, Athena, Semiramis, Ishtar...and so on (all the same immortal being anyway). The Roman goddess of Liberty is known as Libertas.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/libertystamp.jpg http://www.globalfailure.com/images/ishtar.jpg http://www.globalfailure.com/images/vaticanolibertas.jpg

The figure to the right (her left) is clearly a soldier, and judging by the fasces that he's holding onto, I'd say he's Roman Legionary.

The figure to the left (her right) reminds me somehow of the Knights Templar. Maybe he's something else...?

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/ktemplar.jpg

But, here is the government's description of all the characters in this frieze:

Reclining on the far left is Chief Justice William Howard Taft, representing Research Present. He is portrayed as a student at Yale University, and is facing an English crown, a Pope’s miter and a Bishop’s crosier.
Second from left is former Senator Elihu Root, who introduced President Taft’s bill to create Washington’s Fine Arts Commission.
Third from left is the architect of the Supreme Court building, Cass Gilbert.
The three central figures are Authority, Liberty Enthroned and Order.
Third from the right is Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes, who succeeded Taft as Chief Justice as well as Chairman of the Supreme Court Building Commission.
Second from right is Robert Aitken, sculptor of the figures.
At the far right is John Marshall, Chief Justice of the United States from 1801 to 1835, representing Research Past. He is holding Roman scrolls, and is gazing at an urn, mosaic tables and an oil lamp, that rest at his feet.

Who is the central figure? I found one website (http://www.cuttingedge.org/news_updates/nz2180.htm) that describes him as the "Masonic Christ". He sure looks like a god. At the foot of his pedestal is what looks like a sun disc flanked by two snakes. The legs of his chair are two fasces, upon which two Eagles sit.

Update:

The central figure represents Destiny

This from The Thirteenth Astrological Star Sign... (http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4101)
I’ve been researching some of the symbols that appear in this thread. I think that serpents and reptiles have been covered by many, and for some reason I just decided to take a closer look at the EAGLE.

The Eagle permeates so much of our daily lives through symbolism, and I could fill 10 pages with examples, but I think that most people would immediately agree on this, and so I’ll skip right over pointing out the obvious.

Instead I’d like to focus more on who this Eagle is, and what he means.

I’d like to start by looking at the animal. There was a time where, in England, "EAGLE" referred specifically to the Golden Eagle. So, although the Eagle that floods the symbolism in America is supposedly the Bald Eagle, I feel as though the very source of Eagle symbolism comes from the Golden Eagle, starting with Aetos Dios – which I will come to later a little further down.

The Eagle is mainly an Old World animal, and only two species appear in North America; the Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle. The scientific name for the Golden Eagle is Aquila Chrysaetos. (Christ?)

Symbolism is mostly shown through artistic visuals, and for that reason I want to demonstrate how similar, in shape, these two BIRDS OF PREY are;

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/golden_eagle1.jpg
Golden Eagle

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/TawnBaldEagleLimbRt.jpg
Bald Eagle

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/goldeneagleinflight.jpg
Golden Eagle

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/juvenilebaldeagle.jpg
Juvenile Bald Eagle

I know that we are told that it’s the BALD EAGLE in American symbolism, but based on all the other lies that we’ve been told, and all the secrets that are kept from us, I’m not inclined to take their word for it. I’d like to explore the possibility that Eagle symbolism is based on the GOLDEN EAGLE.

Let’s start with the gods, shall we? Zeus had an immortal Golden Eagle as a companion. There are a few different versions of the story, but they all agree that the Eagle did exist (and still does). The story goes that there once was a very popular mortal king by the name of Periphas (King of Attica) that was transformed into a Golden Eagle by Zeus. Depending on whose version you believe, the motive ranges from jealousy (of Periphas by Zeus), to a reward.

I don’t see how changing a righteous and popular king into an Eagle, subservient to Zeus, can be considered a reward. So, I’m intuitively going to go with the version that Zeus was jealous of Perhiphos, and changed him into an Eagle known as Aetos Dios. I do believe that Zeus became fond of this bird and later gave him certain honors, which include giving him a place amongst the stars in the constellation Aquilla.

Another dubious honor bestowed upon Aestos Dios, by Zeus, was to guard the Sacred Sceptre.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/bicent.jpg

The sceptre is such an ancient symbol and still exists to this day. A sceptre is an ornamental staff, and symbolizes ruling monarchy (self proclaimed gods).

http://www.druidic.org/visits/normandy/images/louvre-sceptre.jpg

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/eaglewiki.jpg
Source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle#Eagles_as_religious_objects)

At some point the Eagle became sceptre.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/penn.jpg

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/naziparade.jpg

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/amseal.gif

As I’ve said elsewhere, I believe that the WAR OF THE GODS continues to this day. These symbols were not intended as positive symbols of strength. Their users crafted them as symbols of fascism and oppression.

No mistaking this winged horse - Pegasus, son of Poseidon. One of a set of winged-horses near the Lincoln Memorial. Slithering right behind him a nice fat snake. These bronze statues were a gift from the Italian people to the American People.

Funny how the Italians would choose a GREEK 'mythological' subject...

Also, notice the 13 Pentagrams and how the horse's tail is bound...reminds me a little of the fasces.

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/commercecommunications2.jpg

Ēl (אל) is a Northwest Semitic word and name translated into English as either 'god' or 'God' or left untranslated as El, depending on the context.

The word El was found at the top of a list of gods as the Ancient of Gods or the Father of all Gods.

El had fathered many gods, but most important were Hadad, Yam and Mot, each of whom has similar attributes to the Greek gods Zeus, Poseidon or Ophion and Hades or Thanatos respectively. Ancient Greek mythographers identified El with Cronus (not Chronos). Thread on Cerberus - Guard dog of Hades (http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3791)

The account also relates that Thoth:

... also devised for Cronus as insignia of royalty four eyes in front and behind ... but two of them quietly closed, and upon his shoulders four wings, two as spread for flying, and two as folded. And the symbol meant that Cronus could see when asleep, and sleep while waking: and similarly in the case of the wings, that he flew while at rest, and was at rest when flying. But to each of the other gods he gave two wings upon the shoulders, as meaning that they accompanied Cronus in his flight. And to Cronus himself again he gave two wings upon his head, one representing the all-ruling mind, and one sensation.

Justice, the Guardian of Liberty

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/justiceguardianofliberty.jpg

Relief figures on the pediment illustrate the contributions of Eastern and Mediterranean civilizations to the development of the law. In the center is a seated figure of Moses, with the tablets of Hebraic law held in each hand.

To the left is a standing figure of Confucius, the great lawgiver of China; on the other side is a standing figure of Solon, master codifier of Greek law

On the left of the central grouping there is a kneeling man holding a child with his proper right hand and the Roman symbol of authority, fasces, over his proper left shoulder. He symbolizes the means of enforcing the law.

On the right of the central grouping there is a kneeling woman also holding a child and fasces. She symbolizes the tempering justice with mercy.

Soldiers carrying shields flank these two figures. The soldier on the left represents the settlement of disputes between states through enlightened judgment while the soldier on the right represents the protection of maritime and other rights by the Supreme Court. The soldiers are flanked by reclining figures. On the left, a reclining woman represents the study and pondering of judgment, and right, a reclining man illustrates the high character of the Supreme Court. In the corner of the left side of the pediment is a hare and in the corner of the right side is a tortoise. They symbolize the slow but sure course of Justice.

"You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war." --Albert Einstein

Justice, the guardian of Liberty, eh? Not liberty, the concept of being free. No, it's not that liberty that they are guarding.

It's the goddess Ishtar (aka Liberty/Libertas) that they are protecting through the implementation of their LAWS, enforced through military power.

I found Confucius to be a strange figure here, but then I found this:

http://www.globalfailure.com/images/confucius.jpg

By a Jesuit! Now it fits. Now it makes sense...

SOLON

...was a famous Athenian statesman, lawmaker, and Lyric poet.

Solon put his laws down as a poem. Indeed, he wrote the first lines, which said: "To Zeus --who is the great divine Cronus' son--, I pray "so my laws are favored, by him."

Solon wrote his laws onto triangular wooden tables, which folded around an axis

Into his new constitution, Solon introduced new denominations, which were more polite and which have been universally used thereafter.

"Harlots" were now called "Mistresses"

"Taxes" were called "Contributions"

"Garrisons" were called "Protectors"

"Prison" was called "The House"

Well if that ain't double talk bullshit, then I don't know what is.

I'm not at all surprised by all this....it makes perfects sense if you look at the big picture, and the extent of the loomie's lies and cover-ups.

Neptune, king of the sea, sits on a rock in the middle niche. Neptune is flanked by his sons, the tritons, mythological gods characterized by figures with the torsos of men and the fins of fishes. The tritons blow on conch shells like trumpets.

Out in the basin four turtles, two frogs, and a sea serpent spray water

Neptune, aka Poseidon, god of the sea, brother of Zeus, son of El (aka Cronus).

Interesting choice of god to have in front of the Library of the supreme laws of the USA.

What else do we know about Poseidon?

A 'mythological' god having mortal children? How do they reconcile this concept without admitting that the gods ACTUALLY existed?

Also interesting how they address his wives and children as CONSORTS and ISSUE. The exact same language used for modern day monarchy.

Is that an alien on her brooch?

Does this mean that the monarchies around the world are the gods, as I've suspected all along? Their only right to their wealth and status is their DNA. What is so special about DNA? What is it that they have that you and I don't have?

Three sets of double doors installed at the west entrance to the building adorned with six relief figures. Three relief figures appear vertically down the length of each door. The six figures which appear on the center set of doors are figures who have made a contribution to the development of written communication.

The figures are: Hermes, the Greek god who served as messenger; Odin, originator of the Viking alphabet and mythical god of war; Ogma, who performed the same alphabetical task for the Irish; Itzama, chief god of the Mayans; Quetzalcoatl, fair-haired god of the Aztecs; and Sequoyah, American Indian.

The six figures which appear on the doors to the left and right of the center doors are figures who have contributed to the history of the written word in various cultures. The same six figures appear on both the left and right sets of doors. The figures are: Thoth, Egyptian god and conveyor of speech; Ts'ang Chieh, Chinese patron saint of pictographic letters; Nabu Sumero, Akkadian god; Brahma, supreme god of the east Indian Trinity; Cadmus of Greece, who planted the dragon teeth from which sprang armed men; and Tamurath, a cultural hero of Persian antiquity.
