What are Orbs??

Many people believe that Orbs are spiritual beings or ghosts. While Skeptics like to call them nothing more than dust or moister. The thing is no one really knows what they are, just that they show up in certain places.

What percentage of orb photos are false?
As you might know there is a controversy concerning orbs in regards to authenticity. Although a lot of them are believed to be authentic,
there are still many showing up as a result of airborne particles (dust)
at the time of the flash. This happens in both indoor & outdoor shots.

Because of this, it's making it really hard to disassociate the false positive orbs from the real ones. An example of airborne particles would be like opening a heavy curtain inside of a dark room to let in the light. Have
you ever done that and seen all the dust in the beam of the light?
Well dust can show up in pictures as orbs, especially when dust is close to the lens, and most especially with digital cameras.

That's just one example, moisture (humidity), mold, & pollen are also contributors of false positive orb photos. Because of this, there is no real way to confirm authenticity with our present knowledge,
therefore the consensus would have to be that most orb photos are false positives. Perhaps as many as 50-90 percent of orb photos are
nothing more than the conditions at the time of the flash.

Can the dust theory be proved?
YES! Just take your digital camera (for fast results) outside and throw some dust out in from of the lens and presto, multiple orbs will appear in the picture! Note; the dust has to be within 4 inches of the lens to appear as orbs in the photo. You can also take a spray bottle to simulate humidity and spray directly out in from of the lens. Result will once again be multiple orbs. Our conclusions are that dust particles reflect light from the flash and appear as perfectly round balls of light in the photo. Try it!

i don't posess a camera so i've never encountered orbs showing up on photos.

stuart wilde has an interesting take on them saying the orbs are of forces of light that come every 10-15k yrs

I've seen orbs without a camera, they don't seem like they would be actually captured photographically as they are just too delicate. It was dark, I was meditating and decided to open my eyes for some reason, in the darkness I saw these green/blue lights slowly appear then disappear near the ceiling. I tried to find an explanation, car lights or electrical leds but nothing could explain it. They didn't switch on and off suddenly like a light but appeared more organic. They were about the size of a two pence piece, I say they as i only saw one but kept appearing and disappearing in different places, maybe an area about a foot square about six inches from the ceiling. Definitely round too, I'd say they were a bit like like illuminated soap bubbles.

I've seen orbs with my naked eyes and I reached out and touched them but didn't feel anything. I have a book about them "The Orb Project by Klaus Heinemann and Miceal Ledwith" but I haven't read it yet.

Dust. But without it, "Most Haunted" would be.
