DEPRESSION
Dark days dawn
The little black dog's bark becomes a roar
As the hiss of the mist like white noise destorts logic
Reality warps present and past to gift wrap tomorrow at it's worst
It wipes the smile from your lips and stills a heart that skips with gladness
The shy child afraid of a dog bite hides behind cumulo-numbus, lost
Sitting tight
Blinds down, phone off the hook, mirrors covered lest lightening stike
To be in the eye means you're half-way through
Nights that are days and days that are nights robbed of the sandman's magic
You'll be alright
When the roar is raw it steals the dog's menace
His growl is a familiar pitiful yelp in truth
Take charge
Master him
Hound that mutt into his kennel again
You own him
