Apparently the theory is that the High Priestess (madonna) was releasing Britney and intitating Christina (in virginal white) Look at how Christinas career went through the roof but Britters spiralled downhill just after that 'ritual' on mtv!

OK, that's just plain silly.
They were practicing a popularized version of an obscure patriarchal branch of Jewish mysticism. The "theory" lottie quoted is based upon a soda pop, B movie vision of Earth Goddess magic, far too silly for even the most stoned hippie.
Whoever cooked up that "theory" was either pulling someone's leg or was high on shrooms.
