Is it showing respect, when we scatter the ashes of someone we love (Rik Clay), who we know feels that 9.11 is an important Illuminati date?
Is this showing respect?
The reason I ask, is because we have been told that 9/11 was chosen DELIBERATELY, because it is an important date.
Does this make sense to people? Because it doesn't to me.

When people die their spirit leaves the body.
The body is what remains of a physical shell and holds absolutely no bearing to the spirit of the departed.
All the body is, is symbolic to the people who choose to treat it symbolically.
If the people perform any type of ritual to show their respect to the dead, it is by definition a respectful act.
Even if their culture has a treatment of the dead that is something which would be considered gross and unusual by other cultures.
Say if one culture respected their dead by chopping their heads off and putting them on pikes, pissing on the dead body, smearing it with their feces, and tossing it into the open fire while they danced around it naked. Some may view this as vile, but to them it is their way of showing respect.
The only way to disrespectful is for the person performing the act to do it with disrespect in mind.
It is the intention of the person that matters.

Well I am (although I can't play) going to find a guitar and head off to Ilkley Cow & Calf rocks on 11th 11 2008 as by tradition it is supposed to be remembrance day.. now it belongs to Rik. I'll be there for 11 o'clock too.. this may seem weird to a lot too.. but if not, anyone is quite welcome to celebrate his life there.
I didn't know him enough.. this is one of the only ways I can work on that.

I am touched by your graphic example, ie.chopping their heads off and putting them on pikes, pissing on the dead body, smearing it with their feces, and tossing it into the open fire while they danced around it naked'
And if the deceased was known to appreciate that type of respect, then that would be totally respectful, in my opion.
However, if the person who had died was TOTALLY AGAINST the ritual, then don't you think that would be disrespectful?

Ducking, I know that you would be completely in the right spirit of remembering Rik. It doesn't seem weird to me at all. It's a place that is your's from your childhood, and it's a place that you feel a connection with Rik.
Pass on my loving thoughts, because I won't be able to be there with you.
