I have been thinking about the unicorn horn, the pineal gland and something (I hope no-one minds me saying) I was reading about sex magic. Apparently, sex magic works by one focusing on a specific thought at the very moment of orgasm (which is linked to the rising of the kundalini....activating the pineal gland).
The unicorn horn...was said to be magic....it is located on the forehead of the unicorn...third eye.
I do think that unicorns were a species which perhaps lived in another time....maybe they became extinct or moved on to another dimension. :)
Nevertheless....I was thinking maybe....that maybe it is all symbolic somehow.
Just sharing my thoughts.
Synchronistically (is there such a word?), I was just listening to two of my favourite Enigma songs- The Child Within Us....and Return To Innocence. The unicorn at the end of the video to the latter made it pop back in my mind, and I decided to share these thoughts here. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBfAu3VzfCQ

Yeah it would make sense. If you look at wizards and witches hats they are shaped like that to focus spiritual power in the crown chakra. Same thing with the dunce cap.
I am also interested in unicorns and why are they always white? I don't think I've seen a black one ever. The only other thing I know is that the Unicorn is the magical animal of Scotland, also on the great seal (or whatever it's called) the Unicorn is always shackled/chained to the Lion showing Scotland's servitude to England. I think we see these symbols all the time and most of the time we do not even look at them and notice the details. I would want to escape if I was a unicorn chained to a lion. A unicorn is free and pure and wild at heart and was not meant for servitude in the sense of slavery, it serves those who are pure in spirit and intent, with unconditional love, the chains of freedom.

The unicorn in medieval art represents Jesus Christ, so its traditionally white to symbolise purity. Unicorns don't have to be white tho, except Rarity of course.
The horn symbolising the third eye is a nice idea, it's placed at the same place on the forehead as the pineal gland and is capable of magic and intuition.
Some might argue that the story of the virgin riding a unicorn is a sex euphemism, and the horn actually represents the phallus.
