On Novemember 22nd 1963, John F Kennedy was not the only famous person to die. On that same day two of Britain's most famous writers also died: Aldous Huxley and CS Lewis. Both of these writers wrote science fiction and fantasy stories on occult themes. Lewis was a very conversant theologian and Huxley took part in consciousness studies involving psycedelic drugs. In fact Peter Kreeft wrote a novel called "Between Heaven and Hell" which has a scene where the three men are having a conversation in Purgatory!

Strange "coincidence" eh?

There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.

Aparently "The Doors" chose their name from Huxley's book. I never knew that.
