If your interested in learning meditation, I would recommend "Mindfullness In Plain English" by the Venerable Henepoa Gunaratana.
I wish I had found this book earlier, but it was first published in 1991.
The author really makes an effort to keep the information simple and managable for anyone, beginner or experienced who is interested in learning how to meditate.
I wish I could think of more, you will find them if you need them for your developement. I believe this as often in the past I would feel drawn to a 2nd hand shop for instance and the books would almost jump of the shelves that I needed to read.
There are quite a lot of ebooks available online for free i.e. www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm
Good Luck + keep quite a few pinches of salt handy. :)
