"(s)AINT" is a song written by Marilyn Manson in 2003 for the album The Golden Age of Grotesque. Manson portrays himself in the music video. It was shot over a period of two days in a hotel room in Los Angeles. It was directed by Asia Argento, who guest stars in the video along with Eric Szmanda & former band member Gidget Gein. It also features the art of Gidget Gein, which is the Heart that appears in one segment it is an edition of two and the one in the video is owned by Asia Argento and the other(that doesnt appear in the video) is owned by artist, Damian Crowley. The sculpture is known as In Case of Emergency Break Heart

After the original "(s)AINT" music video was banned in the United States due to its scenes of drug abuse, self-mutilation, nudity, sexual content and bondage, Manson made another version appropriate for television and other sources. Along with the release of the album, Lest We Forget, Manson released a single DVD with the uncut, banned from the label, original version of the music video. The only way to receive this though was to order it through Manson's website. It came also with the CD/DVD package. The explicit version of the DVD was released with the (s)AINT video in Australia and Europe. Japan required an edited version of the video due to censorships laws on showing female genitalia in media.

“V For Vendetta,” based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore, is brought to us courtesy of the Wachowski brothers who have producers credits on this film. Even though they didn’t direct it, “V” still has the look and feel of the original Matrix movie in many ways, from V’s head to toe black get up, trenchcoat and boots, loaded down with weapons and some serious fighting skillzz ;) to the color quality, the hypnotic and engaging way it’s filmed, and even the score that plays throughout. (Take note of the scene when V steps off the elevator in the BTN studio, about to kick some ass…it’s straight out of the first Matrix, even down to the sound effects. Also, the theme of “revolution” calls to mind Matrix Revolutions.)

The story of “V For Vendetta” is multi-layered, which makes it interesting. The most obvious surface layer involves revolting against a fascist government regime and overthrowing the corruption. A second layer involves the theme of “coincidence” and “connection.” Connective coincidences appear throughout the movie, along with references to them by various characters. Everything is connected, as realized by Inspector Finch at the end of the movie in his big moment of realization. The third layer involves mind control symbolism, with its symbols and themes woven throughout the movie. It reminds me of a multiple image hologram. Turn it one way, see one thing. Turn it another, and a different picture emerges. I’m curious as to what Alan Moore, the original author, had/has going on in his life that he was able to come up with these things for his graphic novel.



The mind control symbolism

V is a character who is broken and transformed during his time spent at the Larkhill Detention Center for undesirables, where victims are brutalized and experimented on like meat. Most of the victims die. But V not only lives, a genetic anomaly with unusual blood properties, he also develops unusual mental and physical abilities and lightning fast reflexes, becoming a new person who “could no longer remember who he was or where he was from,” as Doctor Delia Surridge from the Center notes in her journal. All of this brings to mind the government sponsored MK Ultra/mind control black ops projects and satanic ritual abuse where children of certain bloodlines are brutalized and traumatized until they form alternate split off personas and new identities, sent back out into the world with their new programming, used as pawns in somebody else’s agenda. Speaking from personal knowledge and research, I can also add that many targets of government mind control projects will have higher than average intellectual capabilities and develop unusual…“abilities” such as photographic memory, lightning fast reflexes, psychic powers and so on. So this definitely seems to parallel.

V later engages in a similar torture/reconditioning treatment on Evie, taking her against her will and imprisoning her in a cell — all for her own good, mind you ;) – so that she can learn to overcome her fear. When Evie first emerges from her cell and realizes that V was behind it all, she has an emotional breakdown. But she not only gets over it, becoming the fearless warrior, but she later returns to V to help him, and even falls in love with him. I thought that was a bit twisted in some ways, and reminded me of the “romantic entanglement” between victim and handler mentioned in my “Labyrinth” write up.

V’s new, alternate persona is the “agent provocateur.” It’s all another variation of what we find in “Fight Club.” After years of training and waiting for the right time, he begins his methodical plan of killing everybody who was connected to Larkhill, and setting into motion events that will eventually dismantle the current fascist, corrupt government. His free time is single mindedly devoted to fight training — knives, swords, and martial arts – and putting his plans into action. That is his only admitted purpose for living.

So with that established, let’s review some of the mind control symbolisms I noticed in the movie:

The mask and mirror. We are introduced to V while he puts his mask on in front of his mirror, getting ready to head out. Later on in the movie, V takes his mask off and throws it against the mirror, shattering the glass. As noted previously in this section, masks and mirrors are major mind control symbolisms. See “Labyrinth” and “Eyes Wide Shut” for two examples in this section. As Gordon Dietrich says in the movie, “You wear a mask for so long you begin to forget who you were beneath it.” Mask symbolism, as used in mind control, refers to the masking of the various split off alternate personas from each other. Mirrors are often used in conjunction with drugs and hypnotic programming to create the illusion of a second alternate persona within the mind of the target. Because the target is drugged up and dazed, they can be convinced to view their reflection as an actual secondary persona.

The Key. Just as Dr. McCabe refers to David as being “the key” in “Vanilla Sky” (coming up in a short bit) Dr. Delia Surridge also refers to V as being “the key.” She says “…whoever he was, he is the key…” So many of these movies either feature physical keys or make mention of somebody being the key….

Phoenix Rising. Just like in “Fight Club,” our main hero V experiences a transformation in personality that’s likened to the phoenix. His old self dies, and a new persona is born, rising from the fire — quite literally. V emerges from a huge explosion and fire at Larkill, walking through the flames letting out a primal yell of rage. And just like “Fight Club” this transformation results in a persona hellbent on destroying the society he sees around him. In mind control programming, the phoenix rising symbolism is quite popular as it refers to the rising up of the new, alternate persona taking over the mind of the victim.

So, keeping in mind in V’s masked visage, with his emergence from Larkhill – the abuse, torture center – in a huge fire with a new personality that could no longer remember who and what he used to be, here’s an excerpt from Fritz Springmeier’s “The Illuminati Formula to Create a Totally Undetectable Mind Control Slave” which says:

“Fire/burning torture is used in the porcelain face programming….The memories of abuse are then hypnotically hid behind the masks…..This means that these alters have via torture and hypnosis lost their own faces!”

Project Mayhem “space monkey” army look. On this note, Evie is also transformed from an every day working girl who lives in fear, to a fearless warrior with a shaved head, doing her part to dismantle society. Very reminiscent of the Project Mayhem “space monkey” army with their shaved heads in “Fight Club.”

Agent Provocateur programming. As mentioned earlier, V has the agent provocateur attitude as found in Fight Club, stealing, killing, blowing things up, and instigating disobedience, wanting to destroy the corrupt society he sees around him through violence and force.

Suicide/Self Destruct Programming. And like in “Fight Club” and “The Manchurian Candidate” the hero/pawn must die via “self destruct programming” after being used to fulfill the agenda. While the lead characters in the other two movies attempt to kill themselves but don’t succeed, V knowingly goes up against Creedy and his men who all have guns, and sacrifices his own life in order to take out them in the process using only his knives, martial arts, and lightning fast reflexes. Relating to this we have……….

The dominoes. There’s a (red and black colored) domino knock down scene forming a large “V” towards the end of the movie, just before V heads out to blow up Parliament and face his inevitable death/suicide. Turn the hologram image one way and it represents the connectedness of all things, one of the sub-themes of the movie. Turned another way, with the knowledge that dominoes are used in mind control, and it has another meaning. Again, quoting from Fritz Springmeier:

“The dominoes were used for coding, but they also had the programming feature of being able to tie alters together so that if the system is tampered with out of sequence, a domino effect would take place This domino effect is for one program to set off another program to set off another program. Soon the Monarch slave’s mind is trying to deal with dozens of suicide programs running simultaneously…”

Shadows. A minor one, but V calls his home “The Shadow Gallery.” An interesting choice of words. It’s indeed gallery-like, for its collection of banned art, books, music, trinkets and do-dads, but what does shadow refer to? Shadow also appeared in “Eyes Wide Shut,” with the book entitled “Shadows of the Mirror” on Domino’s desk. In mind control, possibly refers to the shadow self, or alternate persona.



Other Interesting symbolism

11:00. The time on the clock at the beginning of the movie when Evie is ready to head out the door into the night, where she will eventually cross paths with V, changing the course of her life. 11 is a master number, representing “the initiate,” and is amply fitting for Evie as she is the fearful, naive initiate at the beginning of the movie, about to have her world turned upside down to the point of eventually becoming a different person.

3:30. (or rather, 33) the time left on the bomb clock when the camera first pans on it. 33 is another master number, important in Freemasonry. Think of the 33rd degree in the Scottish rite of Freemasonry, the highest level one can attain. I’m thinking it could be a marker of sorts slipped in to indicate who was behind the making of this movie, or, it actually refers to Jesus himself, who (supposedly) died at 33. Christians believe that Jesus died for the sins of mankind, sacrificing himself for the benefit of all – as V does in a way at the end of the movie.

The “V” symbol. “Coincidentally,” the red V logo is strikingly similar to the Baphomet goat head’s pentagram used in occult practices. All that’s missing are the ears, which form the other two triangles of the pentagram. It’s also reminiscent of the red spray painted V in the 1983-84 TV miniseries “V,” about reptilian aliens that come to earth and the resulting Nazi-like mentality that begins taking over the population who wear their red and black uniforms and fall in line with them. (See also the image of Frank the (Baphomet/V) Bunny from Donnie Darko.)



The Cross of Lorraine. The flag of the fascist government is a red and black version of the Cross of Lorraine. The Cross of Lorraine has a long and meaningful history and is considered one of the many “Brotherhood” symbolisms of those who run the planet. It has its origins in France, and Joan of Arc was known to carry a flag with this symbol on it in battle; In “V for Vendetta,” the government is always mindful to point out all the outside enemies and how “England Will Prevail!” so it’s fitting that they would then adopt this symbol to represent their battle mentality of prevailing. However….the way the meaning gets twisted around, with the enemy masquerading as the savior government pretending to be at battle with outside forces parallels the way the Nazis hoodwinked the German population and took the swastika, originally an eastern spiritual symbol with positive meanings, and twisted it all around into something with an evil meaning.

Red, black and white. Common occult color scheme found in many meaningful movies with hidden agendas and secondary symbolic meanings.

“Ride the Long Black Train.” Song by Richard Hawley that plays on Inspector Finch’s alarm clock radio the morning of November 5th. I jotted down the lyrics and Googled them afterwards to see if they had any significant meaning and reason for why this song in particular was used in the movie. After reading the lyrics it’s all extremely fitting, especially the line “Take me home black train…” After V finally dies from the wounds sustained by Creedy’s men, Evie puts him on the bomb-laden train, places a rose on his chest, and pulls the lever to send the train off into Parliament to blow it up. Also the words “rose,” “shadows” “tolling bells” “the city” “deep of the night” and “clock tower” all appear in the song, tying into various things in the movie, which is interesting, considering the song came out several years before the movie.

Resident Evil 2. The first time I really thought about all of this was for the movie Resident Evil 2. The movie’s tagline was “My name is Alice…and I remember everything.“ The second I heard that I perked right up. As we’re all WELL aware by this point in the write up ;) Alice in Wonderland is one of the most prominent mind control symbolisms in use. So here we have the lead character of RE2 named Alice, which at first doesn’t seem like much…until you factor in the tagline. “I remember everything.” Time to wake up, mind controlled kiddies. Time to remember your programming. May also pertain to the way that some mind controlled subjects/MILABS develop photographic memory.

The Bourne Ultimatum. Matt Damon plays amnesiac black ops delta assassin Jason Bourne, and the last line of the trailer has the same phrase as RE2. “Listen very carefully to what I’m about to tell you. I remember. I remember everything.” Hello!

Hard Candy. At the very end of the trailer, the lead character, a 14 year old girl, says matter-of-factly, “Play time is over. Now it’s time to wake up.” It didn’t necessarily fit with whatever had come before it, and stood on its own as a very suggestive command. This whole thing with “waking up” is a big one with triggers. Wake up from the dream, the illusion; waking up the alternate compartmentalized persona which normally lies dormant until needed.

The Brave One, the new Jodie Foster movie about a woman and her boyfriend who are attacked in a random act of violence. The boyfriend dies from being beaten to death. She survives, buys a gun, and inadvertently becomes a vigalante when she’s not afraid to use her gun in future life-threatening situations. The attempted assassin of Governor George Wallace of Alabama was described
in the media as a deranged loner, but he wasn't alone at all if you count
the involvement of the CIA and the Nixon/Watergate "plumbers" who figure
prominently in this case. (It has been suggested that George Wallace's
political campaign could potentially have taken too many votes away from
rival presidential candidate Richard Nixon if Wallace was allowed to stay in
the presidential race. He was conveniently eliminated by Arthur Bremer).

On Monday, May 15, 1972, Bremer attempted to assassinate George Wallace at a
campaign rally in Laurel, Maryland. According to researchers, within one
hour after the Wallace shooting, Nixon aide Charles Colson, having invented
a ruse to place blame for the shooting on radical extremists of the left
wing, ordered Watergate "plumber" E. Howard Hunt to break into Bremer's
apartment and plant Black Panther and Angela Davis literature there.
(Bremer, however, had political convictions leaning towards the extreme
right. None other than George Wallace himself stated that he wondered how
members of Nixon's staff had found Bremer's apartment so quickly after the
shooting.)

But this "loner" actually had quite a few friends. One of these friends,
Dennis Cassini, turned up mysteriously dead in the trunk of his own car
before he could be questioned. The FBI didn't even bother to investigate
his death. According to The Milwaukee Journal: "The former Wisconsin College
Republican State Chairman said (that) Donald Segretti, confessed political
spy and Republican saboteur in the 1972 presidential campaign, urged him to
recruit persons in Wisconsin to do dirty tricks to embarrass the Democrats."

Arthur Bremer was from Milwaukee. Records show that Bremer traveled
extensively while stalking Wallace on his campaign trail, staying in
expensive hotels, running up debts totaling $5,000 dollars, which he paid.
Quite unusual for a busboy whose total earnings were under $2,000 dollars
for the entire year. Bremer was also identified prior to the assassination
as the man seen accompanying Watergate-operative Anthony Ulasewicz in
Michigan. (The personality revealed by Bremer's diary was used as a source
for the character of Travis Bickle in the original screenplay of the movie
Taxi Driver, which would, curiously, later drive John Hinckley in his own
presidential assassination attempt).

Bremer was sentenced to 63 years in prison and has never given any
explanation as to why he shot Wallace.

going to kill Reagan. Richardson and also had links to World Vision
Ministry. No less a figure than conspiracy queen Mae Brussel allegedly
spotted an apparent Hinckley double prior to the assassination attempt and
reported this to the Secret Service. (The Hinckley double's true name is
Edward Richardson, a person who looked amazingly like Hinckley).

One has to ask the obvious: what are the odds that two "unstable" men could
be obsessed with the same actress from the same film at the same time, while
"behaving" under nearly exact circumstances? That both of these men were
intent on re-creating the Travis Bickle character's assassination scheme
from the movie "Taxi Driver"? What are the chances that two separate
"mentally unstable," lone individuals, with so many odd similarities, would
reach critical mass at the same time and in the same way?


It is known through court records that Hinckley underwent psychiatric
treatment just prior to his attempt on Reagan and that at the time of the
shooting, he was under the influence of psychiatric drugs.

A solid gold statue of supermodel Kate Moss is to go on display at the British Museum.

The sculpture, valued at $2.8 million (GBP1.5 million), has been crafted by artist Marc Quinn.

BioShock, Symbolism and Mind-Control

BioShock is a new game for the XBox 360 and PC. It’s one of the most highly anticipated games of recent years, and takes the depths of interactivity and gaming to whole new levels. However, there may well be much more to this game than is first apparent. The many clues and hints in the form of various symbolism and mind-control techniques suggest the game may have a far darker under-pinning.

Much like movies from recent years - games are starting to contain “trigger imagery” and dialogue. Those that follow these ideas will remember the CIA experiments from the 1950’s involving the study of mind-control techniques upon unwitting citizens. Some of what came out of those experiments (and many others) can be found in modern movies such as Fight Club, V for Vendetta to name but two. A lot more on this subject can be found at In2Worlds.

As the power of computers (and thus home entertainment consoles) has grown almost exponentially, games are now at the point where they too can contain such mind-control phenomenon. BioShock contains very dark themes, it has a somewhat “anti-establishment” theme, along with a lot of quite disturbed violence. All hallmarks of trigger movies.

Nearly drowning after surviving a plane crash, you find yourself in the massive undersea city called “Rapture”, constructed during the 1940’s. The city suffered a catastrophe at the end of the ’50’s and the game is set during 1960. This gives the game a Gothic ’40’s architecture, with ’50’s styling and music. It is both at once a familiar world, yet an alien world, one with notions that are totally opposite to our own.

Alice in Wonderland is a commonly used mind-control theme, it depicts a dream-world (alternative reality), upside down ideals (reversal of accepted beliefs), among much other symbolism. One of the main aspects of BioShock is the “Little Sisters”; young girls that very much have an Alice-like appearance. At one point near the start of the game a character speaks of these girls; “They are innocent girls turned into monsters. Whatever you thought of as right or wrong on the surface, counts for nothing down here.” The girls move around the city mutilating dead bodies in order to harvest a substance termed as “Adam”.

Already by this point, certain accepted ideals have clearly been turned upside down. Interestingly the name of the development studio that made the previous game “SystemShock” were called “Looking Glass Studios” (Through the Looking Glass?)

Around the city, the player comes into contact with mutated people known as “splicers”. These splicers are hostile towards the player and attack in a variety of ways. They look pretty much like everyday people, except subtly deformed. The splicers carry a strong theme of domestic violence, this is readily apparent in their aggressive shouting at each other as well as the player. The splicers are also suffering from deep anxiety; “I didn’t mean to do it!”, “Open the damn door!”, “My poor baby, momma’s gone and daddy too.” It goes on, and anxiety such as this is contagious - it leaves the player feeling more than subtly disturbed.

Each of the splicers wears a porcelain mask; these masks are another form of symbolism often used in mind control. For the most part these masks are of animals - and on some occasions are of a “white rabbit”, linking back to the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme. Throughout the game there are many posters on the walls, one in particular is of a man in a white rabbit mask - Donnie Darko style.

Now, one of the major elements in BioShock - which has been pushed as a relative innovation - is the games handling of water. The under sea city of Rapture, suffering from calamity has water pouring in abundance. This, along with the splicers, darkness and blood splattered rooms keeps a constant pressure on the player. The water at times floods rooms, slowly filling them, on occasion the water nears dangling electric cables. Glass windows crack under pressure and water starts seeping. In many places hypnotic and beautifully lit waterfalls cascade from walls and ceilings. This theme for water has been used under hypnosis in mind control experiments to provide for healing. The game then, uses water as both a source of anxiety and as a source of soothing.

Throughout the game the player is portrayed as both a victim and a saviour. They are placed in constant moral conundrums and forced to make decisions that go against conditioned belief systems. The developers have actually said this to be one of the main points of the game.

BioShock contains a lot of other well known and not so well known symbolism, sometimes in the open and other times subtly hidden. All in all BioShock marks a massive change in direction for video games, and follows the trend of many popular movies. The media of video games presents a unique take on the experience, and unlike movies, the viewer / player is required to directly participate. Sitting alone in a dark room, staring at the screen - it can really give you pause for thought.

The introduction to the game - and the final clip just below this paragraph - couldn’t make it any clearer. The traumatic experience of a plane crash, followed by near drowning. Finding yourself unexpectedly safe in a strange location. Containment in a small room whilst a video is played, destroying visions of your old reality…before finally the screen drops to reveal the New World.

I’ve often wondered why the 7 (chakra) colors of the rainbow are ”upside down.” That is, the red is closest to the sky and the indigo colors are towards earth. Red stands for the root and the most manifest and the bluer color for the higher chakras.

The Wikipedia explains: “More rarely, a secondary rainbow is seen, which is a second, fainter arc, outside the primary arc, with colours in the opposite order, that is, with violet on the outside and red on the inside.”

In 1969, while gathering material for a book on the Charles Manson case, journalist Ed Sanders encountered reports of a sinister Satanic cult alleged to practice human sacrifice in several parts of California, luring youthful members from college campuses throughout the western half of the United States. Calling itself the "Four Pi" or "Four P" movement, the cult originally boasted 55 members, of whom fifteen were middle-aged, the rest consisting of young men and women in their early twenties. The group's leader -- dubbed the "Grand Chingon" or "Head Devil" -- was said to be a wealthy California businessman of middle years, who exercised his power by compelling younger members of the cult to act as slaves and murder random targets on command. The central object of the cult was to promote "the total worship of evil."

Organized in Northern California during 1967, the Four Pi movement held its secret gatherings in the Santa Cruz mountains, south of San Francisco. Rituals were conducted on the basis of a stellar timetable, including the sacrifice of Doberman and German shepherd dogs. Beginning in June 1968, authorities in San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Los Gatos began recording discovery of canines, skinned and drained of blood without apparent motive. As the director of the Santa Cruz animal shelter told Sanders, "Whoever is doing this is a real expert with a knife. The skin is cut away without even marking the flesh. The really strange thing is that these dogs have been drained of blood."

If we accept the word of isolated witnesses, the missing blood was drunk by cultists in their ceremonies. So, according to reports, was human blood, obtained from sacrificial victims murdered on a dragon-festooned altar. Death was the result of stabbing with a custom-made six bladed knife, designed with blades of varied length to penetrate a victim's stomach first, before the heart was skewered, causing death. Each sacrifice allegedly was climaxed by removal of the heart, which cultists then divided up among themselves to eat. The evidence of murder was incinerated in a portable crematorium, mounted in the back of a truck.

According to reports from self-styled members of the Four Pi cult, its victims were mainly hitchhikers, drifters and runaways, with an occasional volunteer from the ranks. One such, a young woman, reportedly went to her death with a smile in November 1968, near Boulder Creek, but even sacrifice of willing victims is a risky business, and the cult was said to mount patrols around its rural meeting places, using guards with automatic weapons and attack trained dogs to guarantee privacy.

In early 1969, the cult reportedly moved southward, shifting operations to the O'Neil Park region of the Santa Ana Mountains, below Los Angeles. The move produced -- or was occasioned by -- a factional dispute within the group, one segment striving to de-emphasize Satanic ritual and concentrate wholeheartedly on kinky sex, while more traditional adherents clung to Lucifer and human sacrifice. The group apparently survived its schism and expanded nationwide, with author Maury Terry citing evidence of a thousand or more members across the country by 1979. One hotbed of activity appears to be New York, where 85 German shepherds and Dobermans were found skinned in the year between October 1976 and October 1977.

Along the way, the "Four Pi" movement has apparently rubbed shoulders with a number of notorious killers, feeding -- or, perhaps, inspiring -- their sadistic fantasies. Serial slayer Stanley Baker, jailed in Montana for eating the heart of one victim, confessed to other murders perpetrated on orders from the "Grand Chingon." Recruited from a college campus in Wyoming, Baker remained unrepentant in confinement, organizing fellow inmates into a Satanic coven of his own, but his testimony brought lawmen no closer to cracking the cult.

Charles Manson and his "family" reportedly had contact with the Four Pi movement, prior to making headlines in Los Angeles. Ed Sanders reports that some of Manson's followers referred to him -- in Sanders' presence -- as the "Grand Chingon," distinguished from the original article by his age and the fact that Manson was jailed while the real "Chingon" remains at large. Likewise, "family" hacker Susan Atkins has described the sacrifice of dogs by Manson's group, and searchers digging for the last remains of Manson victim Shorty Shea reported finding large numbers of chicken and animal bones at the family's campsite -- a peculiar form of garbage for a group reputedly comprised of vegetarians.

Convicted killer David Berkowitz -- more famous as the "Son of Sam" who terrorized New York in 1976 and '77 -- has also professed membership in the Four Pi cult, revealing inside knowledge of a California homicide allegedly committed by the group. In 1979, Berkowitz smuggled a book on witchcraft out of his prison cell, with passages on Manson and the Four Pi movement underlined. One page bore a cryptic notation in the killer's own handwriting : "Arlis Perry. Hunted, stalked, and slain. Followed to California." As researched by Maury Terry, the Berkowitz note points directly to an unsolved murder committed at Stanford University in mid-October 1974.

On October 11 of that year, co-ed Arlis Perry was found in the campus chapel at Stanford, nude from the waist down, a long candle protruding from her vagina. Her blouse had been ripped open, and another candle stood between her breasts. Beaten and choked unconscious by her assailant, she was finally killed with an ice pick, buried in her skull behind the left ear. In subsequent conversations and correspondence, Berkowitz alleged that Perry was killed by Four Pi members as "a favor" to cultists in her hometown Bismarck, North Dakota, whom she had apparently offended in some way. Her slayer was named by Berkowitz as "Manson II," a professional killer "involved with the original Manson and the cult there in L.A."

Aside from participation in human and canine sacrifice, with the occasional gang-rape of teenage girls, Four Pi cultists also reportedly share a fascination with Nazi racist doctrines. One alleged member, named by Berkowitz, was Frederick Cowan, a neofascist from New Rochelle, New York, who was suspended from work after quarreling with his Jewish boss in February 1977. Turning up at the plant with a small arsenal on February 14, Cowan killed five persons and wounded two others before turning a gun on himself. Maury Terry has also linked cult activity with the unsolved case of the "Westchester Dart man," who wounded 23 women in New York's Westchester and Rockland Counties, between February 1975 and May 1976.

Despite the testimony of reputed Four Pi members, authorities have yet to build a case against the cult. Some suspects, named by witnesses, have died in "accidents" or "suicides" before they could be questioned by police. Another obstacle appears to be the use of code names, which prevent the cultists from identifying one another under questioning. The group itself relies on different names from place to place, with New York members meeting as "The Children," while Alabama hosts "The Children of the Light" (suspected of involvement in 25 murders since 1987). A faction called the "Black Cross" is said to operate as a kind of Satanic Murder Incorporated, fielding anonymous hit teams for cultists nationwide, disposing of defectors and offering pointers on the fine art of human sacrifice. If law enforcement spokesmen are correct, the cult is also deeply involved in white slavery, child pornography , and the international narcotics trade.

The starting point of Art Tatum's (http://www.duke.edu/~njh3/biography.html) style was Fats Waller's stride. As Tatum once said, "Fats, that's where I come out of and, man, that's quite a place to come from". From this beginning he went on to create and superbly original and creative style of playing piano. His left-handed figures where similar to stride but he was really known for the way that he explored harmonic complexities and unusual chord progressions. When improvising, Tatum would often insert totally new chord sequences (occasionally with a chord on each beat) into one or two measures. He also developed the habit of quoting from other melodies, something that became a standard practice among modern jazz musicians. What really set Tatum apart was his amazing technical abilities which combined with his willingness to explore the imagined limitations of the orthodox keyboard which produced astonishing rhythmic and harmonic complexities. It is claimed that he could identify the dominant note in a flushing toilet. Perhaps the greatest tribute to the excellence of Art Tatum lies in the opinions of his peers. His influenced many musicians including Bud Powell, Herbie Hancock, and even non-pianists such as Charlie Parker and John Coltrane. Many would say that he inspired the bebop revolution in jazz. When Oscar Peterson first heard him play he thought it was two people and he considered Tatum the best jazz instrumentalist of all time. Legend has it that classical pianist Vladimir Horowitz was so awed by Tatum's wizardry that it brought him to tears. Fittingly, his strongest support comes from one of his early influences, Fats Waller. One time in 1938 Tatum dropped in to hear Waller play at a club. By way of introduction Waller told the audience, "I just play the piano, but God is in the house tonight."

O’Neil lost custody of her children with tennis star John McEnroe due to her heroin addiction, and in the years since has worked hard to clean up her act for her kids’ sake.


her childhood sounds like it was no picnic- she says she was molested by one of her father’s friends, and both her parents had substance abuse problems. Not that these are excuses for her drug addiction, but there’s a definite pattern of drug use that she grew up around- as evidenced by the similar problems her brothers have had.

Not sure that I really buy the statement that it was her first relapse, but if it was, the cops were probably doing her a favor.

In listing Tatum’s troubled family you forgot her half-brother Redmond, the son of Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett, who’s been in and out of rehab about 20 times. He was the one Griffin reportedly chained to a radiator to keep him from going out and buying PCP.

From the outside looking in, all I can say is that that whole family is tragically broken. Every day must be overwhelmingly painful. The little I read of her autobiography was so alarming. Her father is clearly a complete narcissist (and I don’t mean arrogant–I mean DSM IV character disorder), which is almost as bad as having a father who physically abandons you. Narcissists are simply incapable of understanding other people’s needs and feelings. She seems lonely and pained to me. I’m not excusing her behavior, just feeling empathy for her.

If anyone knows her history with her father, that pretty much explains it all. During both of their heydays in the 70’s when she was 10, 12 14, years old he brought her around to all the hollywood parties basically as his date- this went on for years. It was always in the tabloids.

And unless you’ve read her book you might not know that daddy dear had her sleep with him in bed everynight. Hmmm, nothing wrong with that, just as Michael Jackson. Gee, I wonder who that family “friend” sexual abuser was?

Oh, not to mention that daddy dear is the one who thought it was an ok idea to get her first addiciton going at 9 years old (or how ever old she was in Paper Moon).

Besides all that, he father was a piece of shit and her mother was in shambles. Her and her brother had to take care of themselves like orphans. Goes on and on…..

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― The Zodiac Killer attacked at least eight people, terrorizing the Bay Area and taunting police in the 60's and 70's. Thursday, the FBI confirmed to CBS13 they are now running laboratory tests on some items that may link a suspect to the killer.

The evidence was given to the FBI by a Pollock Pines man who also claims he recently found the disguise worn by the Zodiac Killer during one of his attacks.

For a greater part of the 1960’s, Northern California was stalked by a serial killer known only as the Zodiac Killer. He was notorious for sending the police letters in his signature handwriting, complete with disturbing jokes and lewd comments targeting police. Over the years the Zodiac talked to newspapers, police and other agencies about shooting little school children, stabbing police, strangling citizens and planting a homemade bomb at an office building. He included sketches of weapons, greeting cards, and even blood soaked pieces of clothing from his victims.

The Zodiac Killers modus operandi is intriguing, as he wrote letters to media in code language about the killings ,sometimes even before hand . In fact, once he even called up the police and accepted responsibility for killing two youngsters in a parking lot. The call was traced to a telephone booth near the Vallejo Police Department. In 1968, the Zodiac killings came to light with the murder of Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday on December 20, 1968 in California City. He shot them point blank on their head. A neighborhood lady Stella Borges found the bodies and alerted the police. But no leads were found. This was followed by a spate of killings which baffled the cops and made them helpless. No conclusive evidence was found in any of the killings.

In 1969, letters were received by the Vallejo Times-Herald, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the San Francisco Examiner. The letters consisted of one third of a cryptogram with a total of 408 characters which he claimed contained his identity. He demanded they be printed on the front page or he would go on a rampage and kill a dozen people that weekend. Though the threatened murders did not happen, all three parts were eventually published.

My fear of dolls is a direct result of an episode of The Waltons (yes I watched The Waltons! do not judge me!) I saw when I was very, very young. The episode was “The Changling,” and in it, Elizabeth — perhaps experiencing teenage angst for the very first time — realizes that whenever she gets angry or upset, things start to move around the house. There was one scene (that is giving me chillbumps as I’m typing this. seriously.) where Elizabeth was in bed on a dark stormy night. She looks across her room at her WRETCHED WRETCHED RAGGEDY ANN DOLL when the lightning flashes. When the lightning flashes once more, Elizabeth sees that her WRETCHED WICKED EVIL RAGGEDY ANN DOLL HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS!!! How could this have happened, most fashionable reader? HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED???!!!

I hate to sound morbid or cruel but I don't think the author really explains the actual cruelty and abuse that Billy suffered at the hands of his stepfather on that farm in Ohio. I am glad that the author shows us pictures of the real Billy and his family. We should realize how important the effects of cruel child abuse whether physical, sexual, emotional or psychological can manifest in a young child like Billy. Of course, there is no excuse for his crimes of raping women. The author explains the development of Billy's mind and the fragments which holds the personalities or individuals that make him. Without them in the first place, Billy would not be alive. They came to be because of the abuse and it was a self-defense mechanism to help him cope and survive. Of course, how would be respond as young children in his situation of cruelty at the hands of a stepfather who just hated the boy. Anyway, the author does also show his drawings and how the authorities and psychiatrists came to believe that he was indeed insane at the time of his crimes. The pictures and drawings in the book indicate trouble especially the raggedy ann doll with a noose around her neck as a sign of trouble. Even Sybil was or is still an artist herself, creative people like Billy and Sybil developed their personalities in order to cope with such needless suffering, cruelty, and abuse at the hands of those who claimed to have loved them, their own parents. Of course, Sybil's mother was mentally ill but went untreated and Billy's mother left his stepfather because of all the abuse in the household.

Soulja.....thanks for the Suspiria posts earlier. That may be my all time favorite movie, at least in the top 3. Anyhow I am going to have to revisit it as I never looked at it in that way before. I was just always amazed at the inventive sets, lighting, atmosphere AND hands down the creepiest ,scariest soundtrack ever from the band Goblin. I actually preferred the mix of it on my old VHS tape where it wasn't so crisp and clear... everything just kind of blended together and when played loud was truly frightening. Too bad ol Dario has never been able to top that. However all these posts have really made me consider my entertainment choices. First it was my heavy metal, now all my movies..... sure hope we don't discover something sinister about PUGS!
