I haven't had a defining experience in my life where it became apparent to me that there is more to this reality than meets the 5 senses. But for most of my life I have had a nagging suspicion (for lack of a better term) that something wasnt quite right.
but for the most part all i have to draw on is the writings of those who have questioned the norm and orthodox views and published their work for others to read.
Anyone else in this same boat?
i got to thinking the other day..... and i traced the start of my journey for the truth back to a single moment in time.
It was back when AOL was still in its 1 point something stage. and i had just gotten into songwriting, and i had met a few friends in a country music chat room who were also into songwriting. And one day while chatting on AOL's instant messenger to one of these friends, i just happened to ask what he was listening to. and his answer would change my life.
"the great divide" he answered. they were a local texas and oklahoma country/rock band.
long long long story short, that one moment in time led me to buy their CD, and join 'the great divides' yahoo group. shortly thereafter to travel to the Oklahoma area to see them in concert, and shortly after that to move there permenantly. and one day while browsing through B.Daltons bookstore i ran across graham hancocks "fingerprints of the gods" book. i didnt buy it then but went back to get it a few days later because i couldnt get it out of my mind.
that led me to a conversation with a security guard where i work when he saw the book. and I mentioned graham hancocks book 'supernatural'. the next day at lunch he plopped Icke's "children of the matrix" down in front of me.
normally i might not have read it. i had quite a few books already lined up to be read. But just a couple days before this, I saw Icke on the history channel (watching tv at work, doing a job that allows me to watch tv at lunch, because i was covering for someone who called in sick) on a show about the wildest alien theories. so i started reading it.
and the journey officially began.
it just boggles my mind as to how many things had to fall in place for me to be where i am today.
anyone else?
