I was just wondering what colors you all have. I bring it up because last night while meditating I saw my aura around my hands for the first time. It wasn't my intention at all since I was just turning off my mind as usual, but this is an interesting bonus. I look up green aura on google and it matches me perfectly so I know that it was my aura I saw.

Mine is white. an old friend saw it leave my body in lds church and described it to me. He said it went up above the preacher and danced all around above. I remember feeling it, as I intended it to go out in the moment, But I didn't realize it could be seen.... He said he had a gift to see this, and explained that we all have gifts.

I think this particular friend of mine (forgive him for all his sins, and me for mine) has a suspicion that I may be the antichrist... or the messiah... and he leans heavily toward antichrist, but that's impossible, since the antichrist has already come long ago... in the person of Jesus.

Funny what people think when they see something out of the ordinary... I wouldn't know what to think either if I saw light shooting out of someone's head... I don't hardly know what to think as it is. When he told me about the lights, he pinpointed it to the time when I reached out with the tingly spine thingies up through my head and out around, and up above inside the church.

Do you know those thingies?... the tingly spine ones that can expand from you as far as forever, or just as far as you please? :)

Yes you're right element..... aura colour (as I've witnessed it at least) does change depending on circumstances, your mood, state of health and a number of other things. :)

Check your auras.;)
We have just "lost" the ability to see them, whether deliberate manipulation or not;)

Plain wall, slightly dark background, both index fingers touching at the tips.
A few calming breaths.
Slowly draw the fingers apart and look "past" the fingers rather than directly at them.

As you draw them apart, you will see a "silver light" around them and this light continues to be joined even when you have your fingers apart for an inch or two.

Try it a few times ,to get used to it, then see how slowly the "silver light" disappears or moves, so effectively it isn't light because that moves...well at the speed of light. It is your energy field.

Once you can do this, then try looking at yourself in the mirror and notice the same silver light around your head (lights off for this but not total darkness). Again look past your head rather than at it. Again some breathing exercises will relax you and enhance it.

Then if you have kids, try it with them and see how instantly they get to see the other colours as well. Really interesting.

Practice on other people in cafes etc. and the colours will start to appear the more you practise.

Hi kweli.....well its highly likely your aura was gold when you were told by these people it was. I also think that people perceive auras differently....depending on where they're at themselves, if you know what I mean.

It takes some effort for me to see people's aura colours....I have to be in the right mood and I have to 'tune in'.....but I only have to be standing within 3-4 feet of a person and I can 'read' the energy in a person's aura effortlessly. I have to make an effort to tune it out when I'm in places like the supermarket or on a plane, otherwise I get a massive download of people's entire life story....its very off putting and its more than I need to know to be honest!

One day I almost collapsed because the lady in the supermarket check-out isle directly in front of me had just experienced the loss of a close loved one....her aura was so full of grief and despair I felt the full force of her all-consuming sorrow in one enormous hit.

On a more positive note, it can be handy when meeting somebody for the first time.....I know instantly whether a person is honest, trust-worthy or otherwise....if a person is deliberately misleading (presenting falsely) or is a psychic vampire (there are more of these than you would believe), I can detect this straight away, and then shield myself from them and if necessary warn others.

Exactly the same with me.
Sat in a Seaside pub one night and in walked three youths. The alarms bells went off immediately, I could sense the "intent". Later that night the local shop was raided, good style.

I think everyone does use the energy vibe thing, its just that we have lost the ability to "see" the aura. You can just tell when someone is a"great person" or they dont "feel" right, pretty much on first impressions, now there's a song.;)

That's extremely interesting Limelady. Thanks for sharing. I don't have the ability to see auras, but I do have an acute sensitivity regarding negative emotions in people. Like you say.. it can be both a curse and a blessing. I think it stems from growing up in a dysfunctional volatile family in my case.

As limelady said and others here the aura changes it would do as we do so not remain fixed .Your health mood etc all contribute , you may have a core color to show personality type but other factors come into it .Kirlean photography is an interesting subject had my photo taken 13 years ago and a reading fro mit it was very accurate .Recently i have been told by healer i work with several times i have a lot of gold in my aura .Just found the old pic and it is mostly gold. My GF had hers done at the same time and it was considerably larger cue a sad case of aura envy:olol.heres my old pic would love to have another done .The camera equipment can be bought but costs a bit also you can get video as well now to watch whole body and record the changing patterns of the aura .It is interesting to note the auras of people who are ill or heavy drug users as they have patches and holes in theirs .also cut away part of a leaf for example and the aura remains .I also read that before x rays where the excepte norm something similar to aura or kirlean photography was developed to read a patients energy and body .

It takes some effort for me to see people's aura colours....I have to be in the right mood and I have to 'tune in'.....but I only have to be standing within 3-4 feet of a person and I can 'read' the energy in a person's aura effortlessly. I have to make an effort to tune it out when I'm in places like the supermarket or on a plane, otherwise I get a massive download of people's entire life story....its very off putting and its more than I need to know to be honest!

One day I almost collapsed because the lady in the supermarket check-out isle directly in front of me had just experienced the loss of a close loved one....her aura was so full of grief and despair I felt the full force of her all-consuming sorrow in one enormous hit.

On a more positive note, it can be handy when meeting somebody for the first time.....I know instantly whether a person is honest, trust-worthy or otherwise....if a person is deliberately misleading (presenting falsely) or is a psychic vampire (there are more of these than you would believe), I can detect this straight away, and then shield myself from them and if necessary warn others.

I found out a few years ago that the ability to do this is a trait of those known as "empaths". It can be both a blessing and a curse, depending on the circumstance.

I had one of those aura pictures taken at alternative gathering. It is almost completely white, which I guess fits quite well. Im usually spending all my time thinking, and I try to use computer games, movies and books to focus my mind instead of thinking all the time.

I think I might have succeded at changing it a bit though. The aura shows our current state, so it ought to be possible to change it. Maybe by getting angry or some event in your life that changes your mood one way or the other.

I have yet to see mine, although in some intuitive way I have always felt like I have a mostly violet aura. So I don't know for sure, but that would be my guess.

Our Aura's change all the time, from one moment to the next - the colours tend to filter our thought shapes and emotional states and can often reflect the sensations that we pick up around us. When we're in sainsbury's for example our aura will be much more subdued and calm than when we are in a meditative or hightened emotional state. The aura may very well absorb a lot of negative energy from around us and as such can affect our moods when we come into contact with heavy energy - ie, if someone chooses to argue with you when you aren't feeling particularly arguementative, or if you are out and about and you come into contact with an angry situation, it is very easy for those thought forms to latch into your aura and bring you down.

Our aura's are most vibrant when we are feeling calm and relaxed and at ease with our surroundings - meditative states are perfect for our aura's to 'shine'. When we are happy and care free the aura will reflect that emotive response, and when we walk in the country (particularly when it is sunny) our aura's are filled with nature energy and can be seen as vibrant colourful spectrums glowing all around us.

Seeing the aura is a learned thing, something you have to get your eyes used to, just like those magic eye pictures. Try looking at tree's, or mountains to begin with, relax your eyes and just let them fall onto the scene that you choose to look at - soon you will be able to discearn a glow around everything :-)

When you first come to look with your own eyes at your own aura, look at your hand, fingers outstretched, and again relax your gaze and soon you'll be able to pick up the faint after image of colour around your hand - like a glove. The best way to see your own aura as a bodily concept is with the third eye vision - intuitive vision that you see like you might see a thought.

Sometimes i catch a glimpse of mine, either reflected in windows or just at the edge of sight ;-)

Meditating is a very good way, but you will need to clear the thought process and find the 'still mind' state, just focus on you breath untill your mind is perfectly still, then allow yourself to see your self as an energetic being of light. This is i feel how spirit see us, this huge and complex light field wrapped around a core central 3d form ;-)

you can dramatically change your aura by wearing, or carrying, possative crystals. Wearing a clear quartz point will help bring in light, wearing carnellian will help cleanse and purify collected negative thought patterns (from arguements etc) and wearing labradorite will fill it with blue Christ ray and protect from ill wishing :-)

To drain negativity or heavy colours try carrying a piece of smoky quartz ken, for a few days, and then carry a clear quartz point around for a while, sleep with it under your pillow. then have another go at the test (i've not seen it yet) and see how you compare ;-)

I have often heard of those who sees auras in colors. But the only color I have ever seen surrounding anything occasionally is green. I see energy everywhere, sometimes just almost dripping from everything. I see it around people and animals and coming off of cars. But when it comes from people I see it as (I don't know if I can describe it) electricity coming off people. Some people have a lot and some have a little. If they have been drinking or doing drugs it shows. Rocks and metals (especially Iron) have energy also, some more than others. I think what I am seeing is souls (well I know it is). Some look quite attractive, being as I think I am a being that hunts and collects energy. But as I believe myself to be good, I kind of worry when I see the real big souls that look attractive to me, because I have a feeling , WELL I KNOW, that other beings that hunt energy can most likely see them also, and I have an urge to protect them, the souls (the other beings being most definitely evil). Wear a hat, like the jews do sometimes, it makes the souls harder to see. Note: I perceive these things MUCH BETTER when I am not wearing glasses or contacts, as I am nearsighted (eyes let in "too much" light) I think they must let in exactly the right amount of light with which to percieve, as we all percieve through light itself. I have finally thrown my glasses away for good. And feel much more like my old self again. I think everyone who wears glasses should consider doing the same.

By now it will be obvious that everything that is is a vibration.
Thus, throughout the whole of existence there is what one could term a gigantic keyboard consisting of all the vibrations which can ever be. Let us imagine that it is the keyboard of an immense piano stretching for limitless miles. Let us imagine, if you like, that we are ants, and we can see just a very few of the notes. The vibrations will correspond to the different keys of the piano. One note, or key, would cover the vibrations which we term touch,” the vibration which is so slow, so “solid” that we feel it rather than
hear it or see (Fig. 5) it.
The next note will be sound. That is, the note will cover those vibrations which activate the mechanism within our ears. We may not feel with our fingers those vibrations, but our ears tell us that there is “sound.” We cannot hear a thing which can be felt, nor can we feel a thing which can be heard. So we have covered two notes on our piano keyboard.
The next will be sight. Here again, we have a vibration of such a frequency (that is, it is vibrating so rapidly) that we cannot feel it and we cannot hear it, but it affects our eyes and we call it “sight.”
Interpenetrating these three “notes” there are a very few others such as that frequency, or band of frequencies, which we call “radio.” A note higher and we get telepathy, clairvoyance, and kindred manifestations or powers. ruled by such-and-such a planet.
Green has a musical note corresponding to “fa.” It is a colour
of growth, and it is stated by some people that plants can be stimu-
lated by suitable notes of music. While we have no personal
experience on this particular item, we have had information about
it from an absolutely reliable source. Saturn is the planet con-
trolling the colour green. It may be of interest to state that the
Ancients derived these colours from the sensations they received
as they contemplated a certain planet when they were meditating.
Many of the Ancients meditated on the highest parts of the Earth,
in the high peaks of the Himalayas, for example, and when one is
fifteen thousand feet, or so, above the surface of the earth quite a
considerable amount of air is left behind, and planets can be seen
more clearly, perceptions are more acute. Thus the Sages of Old
laid down the rules about the colours of planets.
Blue has the note of “so.” As we mentioned previously some
religions regard blue as the color of the Sun, but we are working
in the Eastern tradition and we are going to take the assumption
that blue is covered by the Planet Jupiter.
Indigo is “la” on the musical scale, and in the East is said to be
ruled by Venus. Venus, when favorably aspected, that is, when
conferring benefits upon a person, Venus gives artistic ability and
purity of thought. It gives the better type of character. It is only
when it is connected with lower-vibration people that Venus leads
to various excesses. Violet corresponds to the musical note of
“ti” and is ruled by the Moon. Here again, if we have a well-
aspected person the Moon, or violet, gives clarity of thought,
spirituality, and controlled imagination. But if the aspects are
poor, then, of course, there are mental disturbances or even
“lunacy.”
Outside the aura there is a sheath which completely encloses the
human body, the etheric, and the aura itself. It is as if the whole
assembly of the human entity, with the human body at the centre,
and then the etheric, and then the aura, is all encased in a bag!
Imagine it like this; we have an ordinary hen's egg. Inside there
is the yolk corresponding to the human body, the physical body,
that is. Beyond the yolk we have the white of the egg which we will
say represents the etheric and the aura. But then outside the white
of the egg, between the white and the shell, there is a very thin skin,
quite a tough skin it is, too. When you boil an egg and you get
rid of the shell you can peel off this skin; the human assembly is
like that. It is all encased in this skin-like covering. This skin is
completely transparent and under the impact of swirls or tremors
in the aura it undulates somewhat, but it always tries to regain its
egg-shape, something similar to a balloon always trying to regain
its shape because the pressure within is greater than the pressure
without. You will be able to visualize it more if you imagine the
body, the etheric, and the aura contained within an exceedingly
thin cellophane bag of ovoid shape (Fig. 6).

As one thinks, one projects from the brain through the etheric
through the aura, and on to the auric skin. Here, upon the outer
surface of that covering, one gets pictures of the thoughts. As in so
many other instances, this is another example corresponding to
radio or television. In the neck of a television tube there is what is
known as “an electron gun” which shoots fast-moving electrons
onto a fluorescent screen which is the viewing screen-the part
at which you gaze. As the electrons impinge upon a special coating
inside the television screen, the thing fluoresces, that is, there is a
point of light which persists for a time so that the eyes can carry
over by “residual memory” the picture of where the point of light
was. So eventually the human eye sees the whole picture on the
television screen. As the picture at the transmitter varies, so does
the picture that you see on the television screen vary. In much the
same way thoughts go from our transmitter, that is, the brain, and
reach that sheath covering the aura. Here the thoughts seem to
impinge and form pictures which a clairvoyant can see. But we
see not merely the pictures of present thoughts, we can also see
what has been!
It is easily possible for an Adept to look at a person and to
actually see on the outer covering of the aura some of the things
that the subject has done during the past two or three lives. It may
sound fantastic to the uninitiated, but nevertheless it is perfectly
correct.
Matter cannot be destroyed. Everything that is still exists. If
you make a sound the vibration of that sound the energy which
it causes—goes on for ever. If, for instance, you could go from
this Earth quite instantly to a far, far planet you would see
(provided you had suitable instruments) pictures which happened
thousands and thousands of years before. Light has a definite
speed, and light does not fade, so that if you got sufficiently distant
from the Earth (instantly) you would be able to see the creation of
the Earth! But this is taking us away from the subject under
discussion. We want to make the point that the sub-conscious, not
being controlled by the conscious, can project pictures of things
beyond the present reach of the conscious. And so a person with
good powers of clairvoyance can easily see what manner of person
faces him. This is an advanced form of psychometry, it is what one
might term “visual psychometry.” We will deal with psychometry
later.
Everyone with any perception or sensitivity at all can sense an
aura, even when they do not actually see it. How many times have
you been instantly attracted, or instantly repelled by a person
when you have not even spoken to him? Unconscious perception
of the aura explains one's likes and dislikes. All peoples used to be
able to see the aura, but through abuses of various kinds they lost
the power. During the next few centuries people are going once
again to be able to do telepathy, clairvoyance, etc.

Let us go further into the matter of likes and dislikes: every aura is composed of many colours and many striations of colours. It is necessary that the colours and striations match each other before two people can be compatible. It is often the case that a husband and a wife will be very compatible in one or two directions, and completely incompatible in others. That is because the particular wave form of one aura only touches the wave form of the partner's aura at certain definite points and on those points there
is complete agreement and complete compatibility. We say, for instance, that two people are poles apart, and that is definitely the case when they are incompatible. If you prefer, you can take it that people who are compatible have auric colors which blend and harmonize, whereas those who are incompatible have colours which clash and would be really painful to look upon.
People come of certain types. They are of common frequencies.
People of a “common” type go about in a body. You may get a whole herd of girls going about together, or a whole group of young men lounging on street corners or forming gangs. That is because all these people are of a common frequency or common types of aura, they depend upon each other, they have a magnetic attraction for each other, and the strongest person in the group will dominate the whole and influence them for good or for bad.
Young people should be trained by discipline and by self-discipline to control their more elementary impulses in order that the race as a whole may be improved.
As already stated, a human is centered within the eggshape covering-centered within the aura, and that is the normal position for most people, the average, healthy person. When a person has a mental illness he or she is not properly centered. Many people have said “I feel out of myself today.” That may well be the case, a person may be projecting at an angle inside the ovoid. People who are of dual personality are completely different from the average, they may have half the aura of one colour, and half of a completely
different colour pattern. They may-if their dual personality is marked-have an aura which is not just one-egg shape but has two eggs joined together at an angle to each other. Mental illness should not be treated so lightly. Shock treatment can be a very dangerous thing because it can drive the astral (we shall deal with this later) straight out of the body. But in the main shock treatment is designed (consciously or unconsciously!) to shock the two “eggs” into one. Often it just “burns out” neural patterns in the
brain.
We are born with certain potentialities, certain limits as to the
coloring of our auras, the frequency of our vibrations and other
things, and it is thus possible for a determined, well-intentioned
person to alter his or her aura for the better. Sadly, it is much
easier to alter it for the worse! Socrates, to take one example, knew
that he would be a good murderer, but he was not going to give in
to the blows of fate and so he took steps to alter his path through
life. Instead of becoming a murderer Socrates became the wisest
man of his age. All of us can, if we want to, raise our thoughts to a
higher level and so help our auras. A person with a brown muddy
coloured red in the aura, which shows excessive sexuality, can
increase the rate of vibration of the red by sublimating the sexual
desires and then he will become one with much constructive drive,
one who makes his way through life.
The aura vanishes soon after death, but the etheric may continue
for quite a long time, it depends on the state of health of its former
possessor. The etheric can become the mindless ghost which
carries out senseless hauntings. Many people in the country
districts have seen a form of bluish glow over the graves of those
who have just been interred. This glow is particularly noticeable
by night. This, of course, is merely the etheric dissipating away
from the decomposing body.
In the aura low vibrations give dull muddy colours, colours which nauseate rather than attract. The higher one's vibrations become the purer and the more brilliant become the colours of the aura, brilliant not in a garish way, but in the best, the most spiritual way. One can only say that pure colours are “delightful” while the muddy colours are distasteful. A good deed brightens one's outlook by brightening one's auric colours. A bad deed makes us feel “blue” or puts us in a “black” mood. Good deeds—helping others —make us see the world through “rose tinted spectacles.”
It is necessary to keep constantly in mind that the colour is the main indicator of a person's potentialities. Colours change, of course, with one's moods, but the basic colours do not change unless the person improves (or deteriorates) the character. You may take it that the basic colours remain the same, but the transient colours fluctuate and vary according to the mood. When you are looking at the colours of a person's aura you should ask:

1. What is the colour?
2. Is it clear or muddy, how plainly can I see through it?
3. Does it swirl over certain areas, or is it located almost
permanently over one spot?
4. Is it a continuous band of colour holding its shape and its
form, or does it fluctuate and have sharp peaks and deep
valleys?
5. We must also make sure that we are not prejudging a person
because it is a very simple matter to look at an aura and imagine
that we see a muddy colour when actually it is not muddy at all.
It may be our own wrong thoughts which makes a colour appear muddy, for remember, in looking at any other person's aura we first have to look through our own aura!

Over the years I have been told by various psychics my aura is "blue", "violet" "deep blue" and "indigo" (which is sort of a combination of all of these). The odd time I've bothered tuning in to my own aura it has looked to me to be either a deepish blue with white (or silvery) tinges through it or a pale watery silver/blue.

For a bit of fun I took the test Nessa posted and it told me I am blue.

I found another online test and this one told me I am purple :p

But yes, people's auras can change colours at various times as I can (when tuned in) read auras, and they can even look fiery and sparky and reach out further from their body (almost like finger projections trying to make contact with you) when people are angry and want you to know about it!

I find that my energy field is easier to see at night. It appeas as smoke traces off my hands/fingers when I move them slowly in the air, sometimes color appears, but often it's translucent. Sometimes when I cough at night, I see an xray of my teeth in the air.
