the inverted cross, amongst other things, was used by the nordic people as thor's hammer.
they would wear the cross upright when in church etc, and then inverted as a symbol of thor's hammer when not.
just another great way that people adopt some aspects of some beliefs and reatin aspects of others.

Its said that the Devil can only mock , he cannot create. So turning the cross upside down is to mock and parody the suffering of Jesus , who died on the Cross for people's sins.
With the Norse people , turning their crosses upside down was a pagan thing , they worshipped God but also made sure they kept their hand in with the old gods as well , just in case. It wasn't anything to do with devil worship !

The Cross of Saint Peter is upside down. Peter was crucified upside down because he didn't want to imitate his lord.

i've also heard that about St. Peter (Ptah, from egyptian myth), but he was crucified upside down on a X shaped cross, so i would say the upside down cross is not in reference to st peter, but i could be wrong.
The most commonly accepted church tradition in regards to the death of an apostle is that the Apostle Peter was crucified, upside-down on an x-shaped cross, in Rome, in fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy (John 21:18).

John 21:18
"Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go."

Hi,
The image of Jesus on the cross is symbolic for the rotation of the earth around the sun.........Jesus represents the Sun and the cross represents the 4 main solar festivals the summer and winter Solstices and the spring and autumn Equinoxes......when people go to church on a Sunday they are being conned into worshiping the Sun.......(Sun)day.....the day to worship the Sun. The story of Jesus being crucified on the cross is just a fable to con the masses

The winter solstice is represented by the top of the cross and the summer solstice is represented by the bottom of the cross.....the high point in the year for "The Powers That Be" is the summer solstice.......this is where the inverted cross comes in......the inverted cross represents the summer solstice for "The Powers That Be".....this is a time for some of their main rituals.

I wouldn't say so.......only the people who knowingly take part in the satanic rituals would be....... although their rituals do upset the natural energy balance of the Earth.

The swastika is also another type of cross (a sun symbol) it can be used to represent good and bad. The Nazis used it to represent and draw in negativity.
It goes back as far as ancient Hinduism(possibly further) the literal interpretaion from Sanskrit to English means wheel of light.
The inverted cross is also symbolic of Lucifer being cast out of heaven and falling to earth who became Satan, the inverted pentagram has the same meaning.

The thing is theres sooooo many intereptations of what symbols mean. Its like another person could it means something else and that totally blows your mind. Maybe its the vibrations that make the symbols hmmmmmm.
I close my eyes and it all goes away! great success

i agree mada88, but my point is this, you had the norse people's using the inverted cross as thor's hammer, so you have the christians seeing this happening and therefore say it's 'the devil's sign' blah blah, pretty much the same as the depiction of the devil as a goat-man comes from the people still worshipping pan, who pretty much looked the same. the olden religions, and their symbols were adopted in christianity as the symbols for the devil, the antithesis of their god, jesus.

:s If you believe in the light you must note that the light casts a shadow.
About the cross isn't it the double of a net of a cube! The cube also makes a hexagon when viewed from the side. I believe all shapes/symbols are the basics of the matrix programme.

Satanism In The Vatican!

Pope John Paul II - Burning in Hell (http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Roman%20Catholicism/pope_burning_in_hell.htm)
Please notice the picture above with an upside-down cross. In his article, The Kingdom of Satan, Professor J. S. Malan says this about the inverted cross:
"This cross is not broken, but turned upside down. It indicates the rejection of Jesus Christ and contempt for the gospel of salvation. Inverted symbols are typical of the opposite values pursued by Satanists. People who are sometimes sacrificed to Satan on Black Sabbath are crucified upside down in accordance with this tradition. "

Was there ever any type of official Vatican explanation as to why that cross was on display the way it was?

Peace Sign
The signal "actually began as a symbol of Satanic benediction during the rituals.'' This sign has been used by Yasser Arafat, Richard Nixon, Winston Churchill, and Stewart Meacham, Co-Chairman of Reds' New Mobilisation Committee." Churchill said that the sign stood for victory but remember that Churchill was one of the insider "elite" and a Mason. He most likely knew the evil significance of this symbol but tried to give it a facelift.
http://www.nisbett.com/symbols/images/peace_3.jpgThe "v sign" has a colourful history. "V" is the Roman sign for the number five and Adam Weishaupt used it in the Illuminati to symbolise the "Law of Fives,'' but there's more. In the Cabala:
"the meaning for the Hebrew letter for V (Van) is 'Nail.' Now, 'The Nail' is one of the secret titles of Satan within the Brotherhood of Satanism. Satan is letting us know that this is one of his favourite signs. Why else does he like the PENTA-gram (Penta = five!) and the FIVE-fold salute used in Masonry and Witchcraft?''
Furthermore:
"The Leftists, radicals, and Satanists who have popularised that sign...know its ancient significance very well. In fact, that 'V' sign is now used extensively by such Communist organisations as the Young Socialist Alliance, Vets for Peace in Vietnam, and the Students for a Democratic Society."
Although not a hand sign, the peace symbol itself needs to be examined.
"Known as the 'peace sign' throughout the 1960's and into the present day, this symbol is the Teutonic rune of death. 1950's peace advocate Gerald Holtom may have been commissioned by communist sympathiser Bertrand Russell to design a symbol to unite leftist peace marchers in 1958. It is clear that either Holtom or Russell deemed the Teutonic (Neronic) cross as the appropriate symbol for their cause.

http://www.nisbett.com/symbols/images/peace_4.jpg"Throughout the last 2,000 years this symbol has designated hatred of Christians. Nero, who despised Christians, crucified the Apostle Peter on a cross head downward. This hideous event resembled the Teutonic cross and became a popular pagan insignia of the day. Thereafter, this sign became known as the 'Neronic cross.'
"The symbol's origin in history proves it to be the visual mystic character for 'Aum' (the split 'Y'). This is the sacred word to the Hindu. Chanting 'Aum' is supposed to help awaken 'the serpent power of Brahma' at the base of the human spine. Occultist Albert Pike also identifies this symbol as mystical in his book on Freemasonry Morals and Dogma.

http://www.nisbett.com/symbols/images/peace_5.jpgThe peace symbol (also called the "broken cross," "crow's foot," "witch's foot," "Nero Cross," "sign of the 'broken Jew,'" and the "symbol of the 'anti-Christ''') is actually a cross with the arms broken. It also signifies the "gesture of despair," and the "death of man.''
"The Germanic tribes who used it attributed strange and mystical properties to the sign. Such a 'rune' is said to have been used by 'black magicians' in pagan incantations and condemnations....To this very day the inverted broken cross--identical to the socialists' 'peace' symbol--is known in Germany as a 'todersrune,' or death rune. Not only was it ordered by Hitler's National Socialists that it must appear on German death notices, but it was part of the official inscription prescribed for the gravestones of Nazi officers of the dread SS. The symbol suited Nazi emphasis on pagan mysticism.''
With the arms of the cross raised in an upright position, it is "a Pythagorean emblem of the course of life, in the form of a rising path with fork roads to Good and Evil.'' It also signifies fertility, but with the arms pointing downward, it denotes evil and death.

http://www.nisbett.com/symbols/images/peace_6.jpg"In fact, the inverted 'Man-rune'--the figure encircled in the common sign which the Communists tell us means 'peace'--has for centuries been a favourite sign of Satanists.''
Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, used the peace symbol as the backdrop for his altar.
One former witch makes the following comment about the peace symbol:
"It is an ancient and powerful symbol of Antichrist. During the dark ages it was used in Druid Witchcraft and by Satanists of all sorts during the initiation of a new member to their order. They would draw the magic circle and give the initiate a cross. The initiate would then lift the cross and turn it upside down. He would then renounce Christianity in all three dimensions (sic) of time (past, present and future) and break the horizontal pieces downward forming the design of the 'Raven's Foot.' This ugly symbol is nothing short of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. For one to wear or display this symbol is to announce either knowingly or unknowingly that you have rejected Christ. Remember, symbolism is a picture language, and a picture is worth a thousand words.''
