I am 27 years old and have been diagnosed as being schizo-affective. I have also been diagnosed as having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the two trigger one another. Well, I agree that I may have such a condition as PTSD and that it causes me to have problems from time to time, but I do not agree with the conclusion that I am schizo-affective, as I have never had a hallucination visually. I have heard things which I attribute to the voice of God and conversely at various times the voice of Satan. Now, as I recall, many other people have said that the voice of the Holy Spirit speaks to them and these people are taken seriously and do not have to take medicine. I however have been court ordered to take not only pills but to recieve a medication called haldol which is administered via injection once a month. This is completely ludicrous as I am well spoken and outside of taking this medication have never had a hallucination (i.e. the medication has caused problems rather than fixed them). So, I began to try to put 2 and 2 together to understand why this is happening to me. I currently do not have a job and have not had a job for a good length of time. The "psychiatric care" I recieve is administered by an organization called the "Lifestream Behavioral Center" and this I find very disturbing. Based upon this groups name I am led to believe that this is not a psychiatric care facility but instead a behavior modification factory turning out drones for civilization to further enslave us by taking away our ability to decide for ourselves. This really pisses me off everyone. I have a system of belief that is in direct opposition to this manner of treatment and no one seems to care. I was in the hospital with pneumonia when the doctor there prescribed me a dose of paxil cr (a medication for depression entirely unrelated to my illness) and from that point on the government has sought to keep me on medication for good. It's gotten so bad that I can't even function at times due to the side effects of the medication and have been on SSI disability income for over 4 years now. Can someone give me some idea as to how I can fight the system and free myself from this mental enslavement?

Hey Nin
Im 19 and have been diagnosed with psycosise border line skitzo (spelling is realy bad there lol) I was in a psycitric hospital for 5 months 1 week and 7.5 hours (people are always amazed how i rememer the hours and minutes, all i can reply is that being in a paranoid induced atmoshpere for that long realy messes with you)
I was given a drug called "lorazapam" which can only be explained as being stonned (off weed) and an anti-phsycotic called "quetiapin" the quetiapin was horrile as it drained all energy my mental capacity dropped and i find it hard to think for the first 4-5 hours after the dose.
I now see a group called the peir team ,psycosis early intervention recovery, which like you say nin feels more of a behaviour altering place. They literaly make you anerlize how you think and behave and change you.
Also if i stop taking my meds or stop going peir im on an instant 6 month C section.

Hi:
Both of you to me appear to be awakening and listening to your inner selves. I agree with a lot of people that many in the medical field would rather lable people and put them on drugs because they feel that that is the right thing to do. Also the illuminati controlled medical industry is aware that now many people are starting to awaken and realize their true selves, thus finally being able to see through all the b.s. that has been put in front of them. For this reason, many doctors are instructed to give out heavy duty phych meds to numb peoples minds.
There are many alternative therapies you can persue if you feel that you do not want to take psych meds. One is Reiki and another is Theta DNA. Both are energy work. Reiki in particular works to put positive energy into a person auric field as well as help clear out stagnent energies. Reiki and Theta DNA can also assist one in releasing old outdated belief systems and tramas that may be still playing out in one's subconscious mind. When these are cleared out, many times physical and other symptoms disappear immediately. I know for myself that both therapies have helped me out on the spiritual levels.
The only person who can decide whether or not take psych meds is you. I am only offering this info so that you can have choices in your decision.
Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!

hi in my opinion schizo affective disorder is a diagnosis given when the psychiatrists mental health workers have given up on you its a diagnosis that is supposed to be given when both symptoms of depression and schizophrenia are given at different times independent of one another the criteria states that there should be periods where none of these symptoms are present at all.Its scares and pisses me off that you are being forced to take medication for both these conditions. However because i dont know you personally it would be hard to give you any advice so ill say this instead.if for example an individual had no symptoms before a traumatic incident and were not a danger to other people i would advise them to play the game they are being forced to play until they are no longer being forced then when they think that person is complying with there treatment willingly to slowly reduce all the drugs bit by bit until they are out of the persons system completely throughout this process kalabhati pranyama should be practised twice a day also for the the time being all involvement with external voices shoul be observed from an uninvolved viewpoint ie not repressed but not acted or thought upon if any rebellion is shown to the system in question in my opinion the control will be more intense and enforced and the diagnosi of borderline personality disorder will be given which by the way is there next step after schizo affective diagnosis further reinforcing that there is something wrong and nothing can be done

Change ur psychiatrist. Question the medication ur on. Question ur diagnosis (be informed for this). Get a second opinion, or at least change ur meds....
Or if ur _totally_ confident theres nothing wrong with u , u cud stop taking the meds..
The catergories they use for diagnosis are far from perfect, as is the medicines and the diagnostic process. Being careful, its u that shud be at the steering wheel ....
