These are one of the walls of my stepdaughters old bedroom mural i did around 1997/8? :D

this picture was a copy from a franklin mint plate i saw in a catalogue i suddenly realised i had red and blue paint so could paint it and started it right away .Unfortunbately the room was a tiny box room just about 6 ft square and i couldnt get a good pic from inside , so had to stand outside on the stairs ,The flash lit up the face so not much detail shows up

This is one i did for my other stepdaughter incorporating a symbol i saw in a dream i had concerning one of her past lives . I havent seen it anywhere else since .You cant make it out on the rock but it is like this .

Wow they're all excellent honey, great work there!:D I really wish I could produce stuff like that.
You should also put your unicorn ones on snoops thread here (http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9044), I'm sure he'd really appreciate them too:)

will post them there forgot about doing that .Yes the tiger my older stepdaughter didnt like sleeping in that room as the eyes of the tiger followed her she said !! lol and she being a tiger as well in chinese zodiac .Wish i knew how to paint he eyes like that deliberately but i just let that one flow and finished it without looking as i went along .:D

2013, these paintings are awesome!

oh my 2013. Seeing your work has just made me sit bolt upright! I did some murals more or less exactly the same back in 2000. I used to be a professional mural painter and 3 different clients asked me for something similar.
These are photos of photos of the mural so much detail and clarity has been lost but as you can see, they are very similar

You can see me holding up my son (who is now 8 and comes up to my shoulders!) for scale.
These two were for two 8 ft panels in a crystal shop. The client requested the piramids and That other symbol above the dolphins head, so please folk, dont troll me for painting a pryamid... you have to paint as per the clients request when your getting paid for it.

they have a spooky resemblence dont they?? your murals and mine. and mine were painted 8 years ago. wow, how amazing! Id forgotten about them untill now.

Yes! I feel so. it was like that when i painted them, in a kinda gentle lucid trance of a place far away but not in miles...
Amazing similarities i did mine about 1996-7 . I had a few more dragon ones but painted over them with the wizard room pics .pity i didnt photograph them first .Perhaps that was a time when the dolhin energy was increasing so we became more aware of them and wht they where trying to communicate to us . :D

maybe, maybe. just look at the simalarities between the Dolphin ones. The land rising out of the sea with a waterfall the 2 dolphins playing, the colours are different but to me they both have the same feel of place and time. Its amasing!
Wel li had never painted horses/ unicorns , tigers or dolphins before attempting that room , step daughter changed her mind so often i decided to paint the lot in one continuous landscape ! i had more trouble doing the dolphins than anything , basically a blue banana shape how hard is that but i got there in the end .We where doing 2 sometimes 3 meditation evenings at home per week when i did those paintings ,and twice daily meditation ourselves , so maybe you where tuned into the same energies yourself .Creativity exists we just tune into it thats why people sometimes produce similar themed work , just goes to show how aware we are !! LOL

Hmm, I went through a phase as a kid of sketching a lot of dragons; majestic claws, teeth etc. Kind of Chinese style ones. I was very into unicorns too. I remember I had this postcard on my bed which I use to gaze at; I thought the unicorn and the place it was in looked so dreamy and beautiful.
Nowadays I'm not as creative as I once was as a kid, it would seem.
Spend most of my time trying to listen out for that forgotten chord; that long-lost melody.
And trying to figure it (life) out.

yes, I still remember the feeling of wanting to escape into those fantasy art worlds. I still do! your avatar invokes the same feeling in me too. Its lovely.

I think I could look for hours just staring at those colors,symbols,animals. It's beautiful, words can't describe it. You got some fantastic talents!
Hey jojo looks like you are in demand again !!lol When i started the whole room mural i intended to never complete it always adding to it i nevery detail .The vampire chronicals books by anne rice had a character marius who looked after the two first vampires .He painted murals of each new age for them as they never moved .With his vampire skills he was an excellent artist and that was what gave me the idea to carry on the work , adding insects on grass etc but we moved :eek:and the people who swapped with us didnt want the kids rooms to have them in so i had to wallpaper over them .If i find myslef staying somewhere i may attempt to do another and make it an ongoing project i have a few ideas .I made both rooms i did glow i nthe dark using lots of luminous paint , the thing was it didnt show on photos , now i know i can get uv bulbs to do the trick .My bedroom here has a 20 ft high ceiling almost!!so i feel a forest slowly coming together .Thing is i have moved several times after completing rooms so if i want to move thats the way to go ! . :D
can you paint me a mural?! :D

oww, thanks guys. :o. I no longer paint murals these days. But its something I can always turn my hand to if times get hard up.

beautiful work! i have to get back to being creative, i make stuff all the time but i never paint anymore, gotta get back to it, even if i'm rubbish lol i love making stuff out of clay, what happened to my hobbies, no wonder i'm miserable lol
