No, I'm not looking to have good wealth or such, but rather, a tattoo.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c2/DeeHieroglyph.gif

I want to get this tattooed over my Heart Chakra (no, I'm not hindu or such, but chi energy lines is something I believe in).
I'm looking to but the following elements in the ink aswell:
earth (local, clean dirt..oxymoron?)
water
sulfur
a metal associated with my star sign
and a prayer

Now, if you know what the symbol means, or what it is, then you may be able to help better. However, I'm thinking of getting this tattoo at high noon, when the sun shines best and Aries is in the sky.
Now, I am a Gemini. Chinese astrology years, I am also an Ox.
Is there anything I should know, or could anybody help me better with getting this prepared?

Thank you in advance for any help given.

I want to get this tattooed over my Heart Chakra (no, I'm not hindu or such, but chi energy lines is something I believe in).

The above symbol is a mercury symbol which is mixed with the sun…The dot in the middle of the circle symbolises its solar quality.

I'm looking to but the following elements in the ink aswell:
earth (local, clean dirt..oxymoron?)

Below you will see that most planetary symbols are made up of the crescent, circle and cross (also the dot). The way they are put together determines the planetary energy…Here’s an earth symbol…
http://g.astrology.com/course/beginners_astrology/AC-0566.jpg

Below is the alchemical symbol for earth…
http://z.about.com/d/chemistry/1/0/t/R/Earth.gif

water

Basic water Symbol, you can stylise it if you want…In visions you’ll get thousands of different symbols along these lines all representing different aspects of water. Below however is the traditional alechemical.

sulphur

Again a basic alchemical symbol for sulphur…
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/f6/Sulphur.svg/162px-Sulphur.svg.png

a metal associated with my star sign

Gemini is under the rulership of Mercury and the symbol you posted is both the planetary symbol, metallic and alchemical principal symbol of mercury…So you don't really need another symbol, unless you have two different versions of the same symbol.

and a prayer

The lords prayer in Hebrew would look pretty sweet…Much better than having “Honour” on your arm in Chinese…You could have it on a type of scroll or papyrus.

http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Prayers/The_Lord_s_Prayer_1/the_lord_s_prayer_1.html

Our father who art in heave
Hallowed by thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done in Earth
As it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.

Obviously, you can cut or change it to suit yourself. You’ve gotta live with this tattoo for the rest of your life so make it look fucking good!

Now, if you know what the symbol means, or what it is, then you may be able to help better. However, I'm thinking of getting this tattoo at high noon, when the sun shines best and Aries is in the sky.

I know above you said “You just want a tattoo but seriously, if I was to look at a bunch of jumbled symbolism, I would at best think they are some newage dingbat or worst, a Harrypotter fan. I think you need a desired effect for your tattoo and then work your symbolism around it. Then cast it at exactly the right time when the planetary energy best suited for your desired effect comes into play…Guess work won’t do anything for it.

I would help you but I am not greatly confident enough to advise someone on a tattoo…I would consult with Chris from Rennaissanceastrology.com if I were you.

Now, I am a Gemini. Chinese astrology years, I am also an Ox.

I dunno, you could add something if you want…Personally I wouldn’t mix with the Chinese system.

Is there anything I should know, or could anybody help me better with getting this prepared?

Yes, that astrology dude I told you about and Adam McClean from levity.com

Adam is a hermetic artist and if you ask nicely, he’s quite a helpful person. He don’t put up with no shit though, so I just better warn you now…

Perhaps you could consult with him on the actual artwork (also Chris) but get Chris to give you the right time…

You need a desired effect, once you establish this then you can charge it…What would you want, courage? intelligence? wisdom? happiness?

I was thinking about getting a talisman type of tattoo myself but right now I don’t have the cash…Chris is a very fixed magician of the renaissance era so he might want you to have silly pictures for the talisman, don’t listen to that if you don’t agree. Though these would be very good, just remember it’s a tattoo to all other people, so make it as cool as possible.

Thank you for all the help. I knew of many of these symbols. For me though, the symbol it's self is the only symbol I wanted tattooed over my Heart Chakara. My reason for wanting it is:
1: To me, this is the symbol of The ALL
2: My desire is protection from evil against my physical body

My soul can be protected with other things (I believe you would know), but I would like to have my body protected. Not from death, because death is not evil. Rather, protection from evil spirits looking to harm my physical body, you know.

Hebrew is nice. But I feel if I was to get a tattoo of a prayer, I would get one in Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Why? Well, like that with Hebrew, their language aswell had a power to each word spoken. We've lost this with our language of today.

Once again, thank you for the advice.
I'm looking to have tattoos that have specific meaning. Not only meaning, but have a .. power to them, one could say.
The symbol over my heart chakara I feel is not only for protection from evil against my body, but I feel is shows these spirits that look for my soul energy where my soul stands.
They can see this normally, of course. However, it's never wrong to have an extra boost.

Also, and I think you Chris, might be able to answer this best.
Is it wrong to have complete spells tattooed on my arms or palms?
Pain is of no matter.

I don't know why it would be wrong unless you are wanting to tattoo a curse on yourself...Your trying to align good energies so if you do it that way, you should benefit from them.

It's a bit dogmatic to think that because someone is trying to get closer to god by drawing in energy that god will think they are cheating and then spite them...

I would stay away from material motives which is what you have already said...The problem with trying to use magick for material ends is that you really attatch yourself to that piece of material. So on one hand your drawing in the energy and in the other, you are pushing it away by wanting it too much. This really sucks, I have been there;)

I have a quick question for you. Perhaps you know it's meaning.

Zim Uru

What does that mean exactly?
I think I might know. But there is a difference between opinion and knowing.

As I said, I don't want goods, I want protection. I hopefully will never have to return here, but we shall see.

Zim Uru

I don't know really...I know that it comes from the so called emerald tablets of thoth but I haven't even checked into the creditability of those...I don't really trust those tablets because they come from the newage crowd and are never cited in more honed circles. Yet it still could be true, I just haven't looked into it. I don't know nor do I have an opinion.

In those tablets it says Zin Uru is the secret of secrets or at least the key. Is this where you get it from? I've seen it in other places now but I think it originates from those tablets.

It's something I really should delve into but I'm quite busy researching other stuff...I'll do it soon.

Just did a search on it and it's not the secret of secrets it says

Hark ye now, man, this word I leave with thee. Use it and ye shall find power in its sound. Say ye, the word: "Zin-Uru" and power ye shall find. Yet must ye understand that man is of Light and Light is of man.

This is the much more accepted version of the emerald tablet which historically has been passed down for a very long time.

http://www.templeofsolomon.org/Etablet.htg/emerald_tablet.htm

Yet you could probably get insight out of the top tablet...I just haven't researched it's origin.

I know that "Zim-Uru" is a key of some sort. However, I'm wondering what from what language it derives from, what's it's meaning is, and how you pronouce it.

And I actually meant that I do not want to return to this existence until the circle is complete.
However, I do tend to be some what of a "vapour trail" (you know, it looks like I'm here, but I left 5 seconds ago). So if you want to, that's fine as well.

isn't 'zim uru' what dick van dyke sings in mary poppins. "zim zim a zim. zim zim a zim. zim zim, uru." whats the deal with mary poppins anyways? she traverses through realities and has a talking umbrella, something sinister no doubt.
