Brain-cam? Maybe the Hallucinations aren't caused by the parepin, the parepin could simply inhibit the brains ability to tell reality from unreality, leaving people more succeptible to belief in manufactured crisis. That's the way it came off to me, as a comparison to the modern world.

About using drugs in our food/water yeah they do but the chemicals are just illusions to so :p.

Water also mimics the properties of the environment around it, on a molecular level. One would imagine that water could be manipulated into a healing property, as long as the seeds of doubt are destroyed. Of course, the water would only be an avatar of one's self healing. Somehting to focus on, I suppose.
