Someone asked to see my paintings earlier, so I thought I would start an art thread.

Are there any artists here who would like to share some of their work? be it drawings or paintings, sculpture....anything!

These are a set of three paintings I recently did.
i am only a begginner and use painting as a bit of escapism;)

I would love to see the artwork of others, in whatever form it may be.:D

I suppose I should explain what the paintings mean?

Well in a weird curvy kind of shapey way they are a depiction of curves in time and the separation I see around me.

Well it makes sense to me. :)

Actually I really wish I did have real artistic talent....unfortunately I missed out there rather badly. :( I just like to paint for my own amusement sometimes. I'll post a few here, but the people with real talent here will probably cringe when they see these. :p

Excellent, I love what I've seen of your work so far, both of you :) any more?.

I used to paint and draw a lot, my ambition was to go to art college but I dropped out of school early to become a drummer in a band (which never got off the ground). :D

cheers love- i didnt think it was gonna be that small- you can see the brush strokes a lot clearer when its closer up- but i have no idea whats an appropriate size so i just guessed!! :D

WOW Purple Knievel...well retro, like really 60's ..cool. i'm an hippy punk biker guy, and those are really Kooooool.

I used to paint a lot, top of the class in school, my fingers aint so good after sawing one off..I an gonna get me some more art stuff though...good idea , you and IAAIA have inspired me.....see...told ya i'd be yer mate.:)

awesome stuff so creative , i ahve this conversation/argument with lots of people ,ART is ART it doesnt have to be in the style of the great masters its a creative process.The stuff i do is usually copies based on pics people want not really creative from me just artistic copies .To be genuinely creative is the key not how good u think it is in comparison , there we go again its like body image etc .Just celebrate who we are in whatever form we express ourselves .We are living breathing workls of art and we create constantly , well done you .I dont have any pics of mine on pc arghh
the scanner isnt working like my digi camera that i dropped and the car engine that blew up something is stopping me in my tracks and maybe its my lack of directionand not being creative for some time but i wil ltry and get some of my stuff scanned in to post .I have one pic i drew ill post that 2 ticks .:D

this one was a book cover i was reading when i suddenly had the feeling i could draw it so i did and it turned out spot on .Hope you can see it if not ill need the help and advice of my good friend limelady to sort it out for me .It said i didnt have scripted something or other enabled so i temporarily enabled it and posted in the window but still no luck i think ?:mad: :D
purple your stuff is way cool too such bold use of shape and colour loving it .
Time is art the mayans say according to their calendars anyway .;)

Me thinks you have answered your own question there lottie concerning careers waste of time .You should be on display girl and i dont just mean iam me pic lol .I sense a means of financing your chickens ,and u doubted my assesment of your piscean creativity .25 years reading tarot cards tells me u have a gift there i dont need to consult them for that .Let it flow let it flow show what you know .Take it where it goes and who knows .I know a man who painted just for the love of it and was told dont give up your day job .He continued anyway just for love like i said and now he gets top dollar for his marine scenes had displays etc excellent work all because he followed his passion hes bloody good 2 .Ill post a link 4 his stuff if i can find one . :D

If there's one thing that has always frustrated me it has been not having the natural talent and skill to draw and paint. It's been frustrating because it's a way I wish to express myself yet I cannot. I've long felt there is something inside of me artistically that wants to come out but is locked in the wrong body and mind.

How I envy you guys. I have always had a very strong admiration for anyone who has this ability of expression.

Maybe a bit late posting this dont know if you check this page still but have you tired sculpting ? if you dont feel you can draw or paint which you can just not to the standard you consider great art .Its all creativity just do it dont try .Start off maybe using digital photo progs and see what you can come up with .sculpting can be abstract forms as well as micheal angelo type efforts so maybe have a go :D good luck .
