LONDON (Reuters) - Entrepreneur Richard Branson is to add a stem cell storage company to his sprawling Virgin empire, a brand that already covers everything from cola and lingerie to airlines and space tourism.
Parents will be able to store cells from the blood in their baby's umbilical cord in the hope they could one day be used to cure a range of diseases.

Guess it's just another business venture for old Dicky Branson.
It sounds horrible eugh.
They always say this kind of research may help to cure diseases in the future.
What kind of diseases? is there any proof they will find any cures?

theres already stem cell therapy being used often, except it doesnt come from dead human fetuses - it comes from blue shark, and also inside us - the idea is an injection of it makes our own stem cells for where its injected, grow around it. They call it 'live cell therapy'.
There are several variations of it being done now. One is the embryonic type, which is ethically questionable to me and mainly the only kind heard of, and the other, adult stem cells, which is unclear to me still a bit - basically these cells are obtained from placenta or corionic structures, and we have them also in our portal cirulation.
But how the animal is treated to get this stuff, is conveniently left out of any explanation Ive looked at to date.
http://www.extendlife.com/biological_surgery.html is one example.
The scientists who engage in this particular therapy have a duty to not only precisely but CLEARLY explain how these cells are obtained [the adult cells, not embryonic!], specifically what harm to the animal is done, how often, are there controls, etc. although it still seems immoral to me at this point for any of it - until it can be figured out how we can get it from our very own cells w/o complication - perhaps theres a small sliver of possibility for this last version to work.

Entrepreneur Richard Branson is to add a stem cell storage company to his sprawling Virgin empire No trace of selling out to the illuminati there then!! Not that his company name didn't leave any doubt anyway...
When will people wake up to this lunacy? What is the point of looking into curing dis-ease without looking at the cause? It's like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. Why is there such an increase in diseases? How the f**k can stem cells contibute to health in any way when the government (govern+ to rule, Ment = mind, government + to rule the mind) is INTENT on bombarding us with substances that kill our bodies at cell level (radiation, mobile phones, phone masts, microwaves, tv, TETRA masts, HAARP, vaccines, medication, flouride, amalgam, GM, chemtrails, education, processed food, aspartame, e numbers, alcohol, tobacco, hydrogenated fats, chlorine in the water supply, the pill, HRT, need i go on??)
Stem cell, like cloning, is way ahead of what they're telling us in the media, & is only taking our attention away from realising ourselves as DIVINE BEINGS. Stem cell therapy is not healing the cause, & will only take us further down the path of de-humanisation, disease, & death.
Eradiacting the cause of dis-ease is the only way to ensure our health.
Our bodies have an infinite capacity to self-heal, & this abuse of science is only denying this truth. Wake up!

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mr branson has recently been cloned himself and is now taking over the planet with his special happy beard agents running around buying everything while at the same time keeping his staff content with cheap flights at private island retreats.

Ha haaa! Very funny! Better than the chrimbo gifts he gave to his staff around the year 1999 when I was working at virgin megastore... we got a copy of his biography, joy! & I'd heard that the year prior to that he gave staff bottles of his aftershave/perfume! Jeeeeeezzzzz.... If only he'd have given us all a life-sized cardboard image of himself, how happy we'd have been. Very saintly, kinda has that jesus look!! oh dear...
