Most "absurd" videos are deemed to have lighting issues. Well, i am not convinced that lighting can do this.
How can lighting change a round pupil to a vertical slit pupil ?

I believe that reflections of light can explain a lot of these videos. Notice how I say 'a lot' and not 'all'.

They're called catchlights. Or the light can be made to be directed somewhere. If you've ever seen something on tv showing you behind the scenes of a tv or photography studio, that's what they do with the silvery umbrella type thing or big white circle.

As people see in videos, understandably will be mistaken,However this does not mean humanoids with slits in the eyes do not exist, and perhaps there may be in amongst the confusion there are genuine pictures or videos out there.

You can experiment with lighting yourself. Have someone sit in a chair facing you and point a lamp at them from behind you. You may see a dark vertical shape reflected in the person's eyes; a reflection of your shadowed outline.

that head looks like its either cgi or had a high level of digital processing applied - or maybe agassi is a lizard

Just looks like a photograph of Andre Agassi taken in a studio to me.

the soft focus on the t-shirt looks fake, after that i noticed that his facial features seemed to take on a strange 'plastic' quality
it looks like its been processed with something along the lines of http://tiltshiftmaker.com/
anyways, the point as its (imo) processed, we have to presume the light reflection in his eyes is a bit of photoshop magic

Just manual focus on his face by a professional photographer with a professional camera that's all.

do you know of a lens that would produce such a blur in such a short distance (literally 5cm)?

The blur could have been added in post production, if only to draw the eye to the face. It's not a tilt shift blur though. The lighting itself looks like two soft boxes placed either side of him to evenly distribute the light. No photoshop needed.

Here's another example with a guy inspired by the Agassi photo:

Where he says:
Ab 400s in soft box camera left and right
The shot would have also used a lens with a nice shallow depth of field, so I assume the same would apply to the Agassi photo.

Yeah, a macro lense. But it isn't shot from 5cm (dunno why you would think that). It'd be zoomed in and focused and then cropped, or probably blur effect added afterwards to draw attention to his face and then cropped.
