I watched a program on Discovery or one of the other documentry channels the other night about bigfoot (I can't spell the other word :D) They went over various accounts of sightings including one where a guy who had been bothered on several occasions at a fishing lodge had placed a sheet of ply with screws ouside the door. Something had clearly stood on the screws and so samples of blood, tissue and hair were sent off for DNA annalisis. I must say that I expected an anti climax as is normal when watching documentrys which discuss matters outwith the scientific norm but was proved wrong on this occasion. The results of all three samples were that the DNA was from a memeber of the ape family similar to humans. They went on to say that there were twenty six (I think) differances between human and chimp DNA but only one differance between the sample and human DNA. So they are pretty much saying that whatever stood on the board was an as yet undiscover large ape in North America.
