There are over 3500 Robotic milkers in Europe & the USA, so it is entirely possible that your milk came via one of these machines from an indoor/barn cow operation (I cant call it a farm cause it doesn't resemble farming as i know it)

This freaks me out as I milked 250 cows for a number of years in a 20 aside herringbone shed, all 100% grass feed in the paddock cows that were handled by real people everyday.

Well, its not rat milk, like in the Simpson :o
I have seen these machines before, we got quite a few milk companies here. They do seem quite cold those milking machines.

Thats what I reckon, cold..doesn't seem right. I suppose I have a bit of a beef with factory type farms, these robotic machines are only a symptom of a bigger picture of cow's kept in artificial environments, never fed grass and rarely get to walk around outside in the sun & rain. I saw a robotic shit sweeper vid as well..unreal.
Reminds me of an article I read the other day about ethanol production in the states, with the price of oil through the roof and increased government subsidies over there for bio fuel producers and large number of farmers are selling all there corn crops to the ethanol plants. A comment in the article form a farmer said "at the price I'm getting for corn I'm going to sell all of it to the ethanol plants and let my cows out to eat grass"..I thought cool, his cow's are actually going to get to eat grass in the paddock FFS!! unreal
