The expression 'zeitgeist' meaning sign of the times applies right now just as it has at all the other right nows throught history.One of these zeitgeist moments occured on sept 9 2001 ,but this event had always been lurking in our subconscious we all remember the precident of films such as the towering inferno from our childhood[well if yuore 40 you will].king kong with planes flying into the empire state and more recently missiles striking the chrysler building in armageddon sxo these things are quite familiar in our collective unconscious even al kiadia seems like it was a plot in a long forgotten bond film

A disturbance in the Force...?

The tragic events of September 11, 2001 have profoundly shocked the entire world. But perhaps their influence propagates even more deeply than we imagine, even into the fabric of reality itself, perhaps even into events prior to their occurrence. In popular culture, this might be called a "disturbance in the Force", but new and innovative science may have something much more serious to say about the matter.

Since 1998, the Global Consciousness Project has been monitoring the outputs of 40 or more random number generators (RNGs) around the world. Each of these RNGs generates 200 bits of random data every second and sends them to a server at the GCP. The generators are based on physical devices considered fundamentally random, not merely deterministic computer algorithms. It is these data -- not the "global consciousness" hypothesis -- that we are most interested in.

Preposterous though it may sound, significant deviations have been noted in the randomness of data from these RNGs around times of major events in the world. Immediate questions, of course, include "Is this a real effect?" and, if so, "What is going on?".

Roger Nelson, Director of the GCP, and Dean Radin at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and others have been analyzing data from the RNG network on and around September 11. Some preliminary analyses found striking anomalies, four of which are shown below. Note that the apparent deviation from randomness began several hours before the events in New York and Washington. i'm pretty sure what the graph plots is the odds against random in terms of "coin flips" done by a computer or some kind of calculating machine.

in other words, how many times greater were the odds vs. the baseline, heads 50% and tails 50%

there are other graphs as well, and better explanations than this lame one. :rolleyes:

it doesn't say the coin-flipping machines went haywire because of 9/11, but there is an exact correlation of the time frame.

actually, i posted this because the topic was the akashic records, and i thought this was on topic because it implies there was a "blip" in these types of recording devices on september 11. so, to me, it might indicate that we are all connected in that way. in my pre-programmed ignorance, i was actually trying to support your assertion. i'm sorry to be so presumptuous; obviously, you have all the answers while the rest of us stumble about blindly.

i guess i should have spelled it out for you. i thought you would have been discerning enough to catch my drift. again, my apologies.

if anybody had known about the events of which you speak on september 9, 2001, well, maybe there would have been a blip there, too. perhaps a link would have been helpful, but i didn't see one.

events of this were well documented and brought up in parliament when ruth kelly was accused of using the 911 terrorist attacks as being a good day to bury bad news.Sorry to rock anybodys applecartbut my original thing was to get to the bottom of a phenonemom called akeishic records or morphic fieldsin a logical,scientific way.My hypothesis was that certain events recalled a familiarity or a sense of deja vu. An example was 911 where i thought ive seen this before,on a programme called the lone gunman also on a programme called 7 days only on this the terrosists flew a plane into the whitehouse.I thought it could be part of a collective unconscious where archetypical fictional charictors,events somehow merge with real events to create a consensus realityI noticed in your thread 3 of these archetypes had become a reality for you.The force isnt real its a plot device in a third rate cowboys and indian film set in outer space,the matrix isnt real its a metaphore in a kung fu film and robots are charictors in films to show whta people would be like without emotions , they always get them in the end.im not argueing just trying to be factual.
