This is part of an episode of Ghosthunters that caught my attention. They have a psychic attempt a reading on one of their members and film the whole thing with a FLIR camera. The results were psychedelic and very interesting.

It measures heat and cold and displays it onscreen in colors. When he was doing his reading on the team leader you can see this aura of energy come right off the person he's reading, travel across the room and connect with the psychic. At one point the camera was focused on the psychic and it turned into a splash and strobe of colors. When he was done with the reading he dropped his hand and the colors and connection just dropped and went away.
These guys are ghosthunters so they didn't expect the results because they weren't even trying to prove it in the first place. Whatever kind of energy it was showed variations in temperature so you could actually see it at work.
I found this evidence very compelling because it's right there on the tape. Hope that helps a bit.
