This may be of interest to some of you.its a technique pionnered by william.s.burroughs,beat poet, authour and magus.Take a piece of text such as a newspaper or newspapers and cut along a page horizontally in several strips.now, cut again verticaly in several strips.you end with something like a jig-saw puzzle made of oblongs or squares.now re-arrange.new words, phrases and concepts are formed.look for synchronicitys.look for the deeper meanings in the text.this can also be done electronically on the p.c and with recordings of news reports 'cut and spliced'.try it with audio recordings 'cut and splice' them too.
Genesis P. Orridge of Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV and too many other bands and art projects to mention used cut-ups as a form of affective visualisation/magic. Orridge knew Brion Gysin, the artist, poet and all-round genius who showed Burroughs how to do cut-ups. Gysin's a lot more in-depth than Burroughs.

Cut ups are cool.
They can break the writers spell, and give a feel for what's going on behind it.
Also if someone's rude to you on the net, you can feed their post into a cut up machine (there are a few online) along with something like a wikkipdeia article on erectile disfunction, and then send it back to them.

I suspect it would release the same kind of energy as burning a bible.
If you don't have a new god form to transfer it to, then expect flickers of agression and holy style posessions to spring up all over the place.
Just my two pennies.
