actually i thought it had a nice different touch rather then the boaring ol' james bond crap we have been fed for years. It was refreshing for me.

if you are stuck on any of the old movies then yes it is supposed to suck for you... that's how it is designed...i liked casino royale because i was ready for something new...

this is the "nwo bond"...by the way i saw this movie more than 5 times in the theaters..don't ask me how many..:o

This Casino Royal is in fact the first James Bond story. It is the first book about James Bond, which is also why he does not have all the gadgets he has become so known for.

I must admit I liked the movie. I can see why many say it sucks, because it does not have as much action and special effects as usual, and much of it is about playing poker, but I like his attitude in this movie :)

It was a very poor show. JB has gone downhill in the last few movies.

The old ones are the best ones, and some are very significant and meaningful. Do you remember the scene in Diamonds Are Forever where Bond breaks into a studio where they're faking the moon landings? Here's the last bit of the scene http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-528797941802645350&q=diamonds+are+forever+moon+landings&total=1&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 , but a few minutes before Bond makes some very interesting comments about the dangers of radiation. He infiltrates the base by posing as one of the studio techicians and says: "I've come to check your radiation shields." Are the makers of the film trying to tell us something?

What was up with the homoerotic sadomasochistic ball torture scene?

Come on! These people are laughing at us if they expect us to accept this as quality movie making...let alone it being in a film that has the 007 tag...be it a 'reboot' or not.

There must be a billion ways to torture a person...more 'cool' than that....and yeah, I know a similar ball torturing scene was in a Fleming book back in the 50's or something.

But to include a scene like that...with dialogue such as 'I have a little itch down there...would you mind'...I mean, surely it's a joke.

That's just one aspect of the movie...there's a lot more...

Anyway, different horses for different courses...I really think this film was made to suck...like a big joke...that's how bad I thought it was
