Note: If I'm not being telepathically manipulated, I consider it highly probable I'm completely fruitcake nutjob psychopath insane... but for the time being, consider it far more likely i'm being telepathically manipulated by a satanic cult and so, be careful what words from my lips you believe (and, if you can, Help would be nice!)

If I generalize enuf, I can come up with a few basic methods which, utilized with the proper dedication and timing, might, if not ensure an awakening, at least provide a far happier and more objective mental outlook in most people.

1st, Meditation. Learn to concentrate by dedicating a couple years to daily meditation on nothing - an effort merely to clear your head, in as sensory-isolated an environment as possible. Say, schedule 15 minutes a day of stillness in a single posture, then 25 minutes, then 45 minutes, and so on.

When capable of completely clearing your head of that mode of thinking consisting of a constant line of verbalizations, such that you experience the present moment without having to verbally reflect on it, and when capable of walking around without "saying" anything inside your own head, only experiencing the present moment, and if reflecting, doing so by noticing the meaning of the things mapped by the brain without needing words to describe them... it might be time to move on to other kinds of meditation.

even before such a state of mind is achieved, concentration on breathing may very well be helpful. eventually, mantra repetition, and concentration on a still symbol for prolong periods of time... I believe at least four months, probably longer, should be spent on all four of these types of meditation before moving on to more complicated meditations... such as creative visualization and the like.

if you become very, very good at concentrating, it might be prudent to practice meditating on a single emotion - to focus all attention on one emotion. The most pleasant emotion to focus all attention on, and perhaps the most useful, for me, would be unconditional no-object Love. It is quite pleasant to feel love for love's sake, and enuf practice at this sort of thing might eventually result in a state of emotional happiness that is self-feeding.... To walk around constantly in love with nothing in particular.

2nd, while meditating, or doing whatever it is you intend to do to feed your consciousness, it is always helpful to read good books on the subject of consciousness. I consider it a wise idea to make an extensive long-term study of psychology as well as more esoteric topics, and ground yourself in a thorough daily self-analysis, journaling your long and short-term progress.

3rd, there are various mental exercises that might be helpful. For instance, to get yourself past *your perspective, try to create a new perspective, and slip into it. Try to create a psychological profile for a fictional Democratic Senator, along with a list of policies, and so on, and a brief history of how this Democratic Senator came to believe what he/she believes.

it can also be helpful, although should not be considered as a method of attaining gospel truth, to create a perspective a robot might have on a particular issue... if a being lacked all emotion and had no bias except that of the information itself, how would such a robotic being weigh the information you yourself are looking at right now?

4rth, when coupled with meditation, the practice of progressing thru levels of ceremonial Initiation has sometimes been helpful. This sort of thing utilizes triggers and acting to manipulate the individual's emotional response and perhaps help the individual question old ideas, as well as giving one the feeling of actually going somewhere.

5th, for those interested in "psychic progress," it might be helpful thru either/and/or meditation/dramatization, to attempt to channel psychic energy (or orgone if you think reich and his aliens were less than 100% fruitcake). When attempting to channel, neither look on what you'r doing as ridiculous and unlikely to produce results, nor as guaranteed to produce immediate results, but rather suspend both belief and disbelief and "really try" - for perhaps a few hours a day for six months, and after that give up if nothing happens.

and if something does happen, and you think you'r actually channeling a current of psychic energy up your spinal column, don't go telling everybody! you could be hallucinating, you know. just like the words on the screen of your computer might be warped by your subconscious mind as together we speak. see, that's the danger of trying something as (strange?) as attempting to channel "psychic energy" .... what if you hypnotize yourself into thinking you'r actually doing it?

you may come to hypnotize a coven of witches into thinking they're doing it with you! and they may go on to publish a book which hypnotizes 10% of a country into thinking they're doing it too! Which is why, after you'v succeeded in convincing yourself you'r really channeling psychic energy, Be extremely skeptical of yourself.

To attain the unattainable is to solve a simple riddle. To illustrate, a quite similar riddle: I experience omniscience every time I hear the word. The word is what is spoken that is claimed as the experience. The answer to the riddle is that I experience the word omniscience, I experience what omniscience actually is, not what it symbolizes. Usually, this sort of riddle is left in an ambiguous light to inspire the seeker to pierce thru delusion and think above the linear logic of common usage, and this is because only you can enlighten you.

transcending lust:

I don't think people should try desperately to fight their sexual urges - sexual repression is basically destructive.

but I do have direct-experience evidence to the effect that it is possible to completely transcend lust, and thing doing such might be a natural result of no-attachment love.

like the Great Love satisfies all desire, transcending both emotional pain and physical addiction.

i have seen some websites on the internet suggesting the more authentic gurus to be those without sexual desire.

i do not understand the transcendence of lust in scientific terms - only that it happens, and is very extraordinary (if anything is extraordinary).

a simpler kind of love in connection to the transcendence of lust, are a theme of both Buddhism and Hinduism, in some forms.

I think to totally transcend all attachments by method of the Great Love automatically results in the transcendence of lust - i think this can happen because of meditation, or the result of the climax of a dramatic ceremony. It might be easier for virgins, and maybe even impossible for people with very powerful physical and emotional attachments. Although in some cases this problem may be solved by creating a very, very powerful attachment to Attainment Itself - which attachment itself dissolves shortly after the rest have gone, and the Work becomes Reward, total and constant, and expansive.

Hi there! I read thru your post quite quickly, I didnt understand all of it to be honest, I have meditated at times but dont seem to have the patience and the time with 2 monster boys around me, lol, what I did notice was you mentioning sexual desires. when I first began to 'waken' I saw the telly and realised that we are controlled by our 5 senses to distract us from finding the Truth! Sex is rammed down our throats every day and I am sure its misguiding us, stopping ourselves from going forward, its just another distraction.
Sexbased on love may be a different thing altogether but at the mo I would think it best to leave it alone, thats my opinion anyway, Lots of Love to you ;), xxxxxxx

i can't say i agree completely, beldazar. I mentioned transcending lust but also mentioned doing such might not be possible for everybody, for various reasons. while it is best to self manipulate rather than be environmentally manipulated, for some fighting sexual urges can be very destructive.

but i believe there is an experience which physically transcends lust, and such an experience is used by many to differentiate between partially realized gurus and fully awake gurus - it is a sign of being fully awake, to totally transcend lust.

that is not to say sex itself cannot be an enlightening thing. i think the tantric path to enlightenment to be a good one. but there is a flaw in that path: two or more partners depend on each other to unite with "Godhead," while the celibate lust-transcended guru is a complete person, requiring no assistance from others. also, lust is itself a physical desire, addicting, and a very powerful source of joy, but nowhere near as powerful as "attachment-free" love.

indeed, i myself consider "free love," that is, safe sex between multiple partners, a perfectly good, sometimes recommended, practice amongst people psychologically prepared, and incapable of petty emotions like jealousy. such people are uncommon
