Dear Friends,

I got unbelievably sick from chlorella and nearly died. I made a website about my experience to let people know how careful they should be with this stuff - there is nothing sold on the site, it's just my chlorella story, because the details don't fit on a post. The purpose of www.badchlorella.com is to get enough people together that got sick from Yaeyama Chlorella to get Source Naturals (that's the maker of the stuff I took) to switch to a better warning label. Of course they claim that I am only the second case they've ever heard of, and I want to use my site to get all those random chlorella sickness stories in one place to warn potential users. I see dozens of stories of people getting incredibly sick from using chlorella if I Google it, and want to put the stories together so that the maker takes this seriously and changes the warning label - if any of you also got sick using it, it would be so kind of you to reply, either here or on my website www.badchlorella.com.

Biggest thanks in advance,

AssiaG

What an coincidence! I also have negative experience consuming Yaeyama Chlorella under the brand Cosway. I felt like i have heart failure, can't breathe and no energy.

I stop the chlorella, then treat with hemotherapy, get better now.

You know after I got sick I have realized that this substance is Not for everyone. I have heard many different people talk about their sickness from Yaeyama chlorella. The thing about it is that the label on the box said nothing of these side affects. Thats what I am trying to raise awareness of and get the manufacturer to admit these side affects. I feel they are trying to cover up the amount of people who have gotten sick. When I first called them, they told me that I was the first person who had ever complained of getting sick. Now they admit to more than that. I am hoping more people like yourself will share their story. When you used it, did you take a pill or a powder form? How long were your symptoms before you stopped using it?
Take care,
AssiaG

Chlorella is a fungus and will f**k you up because it will grow uncontrollably in the body and brain.

I found that out last week.

So the ptb have done it again.

On their website there is a warning:

"Warning: If you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your health care professional before using this product. If you experience nausea or stomach discomfort, discontinue use and consult your physician."

After reading your website and the fact you were pregnant why didn't you head the warnings.
Or is that warning something they have put on after complaints.

Looks like there is a disagreement within the pro alternative health cure community dalem.

Well I'm afraid I'm with mark on this one, at least I know what he believes comes from his heart, and a lot of his own experience. I could not help but notice you are plugging health websites in your signature, not being funny, but they are not your websites by any chance are they? Herbal Organics, Holistic Body???

I believe fungus are not good for you, especially if they haven't been frazzled in a frying pan first.

More crap from the "Talking out his ass Putney"
I am not agreeing or disagreeing with anyone merely pointing out there is a warning on the website about using Chlorella if you are pregnant.

And it appears (according to her website) that the OP is pregnant. Not rocket science is it putney?

And if you read the OP's original post which I doubt very much you did as per usual you would see that she made comments of the health warnings of Chlorella.

And if I do have a couple of websites what is the relevance to you or this thread? You don't even know what the websites are about as they are being designed as we speak.

You just love getting your irrelevant comments in other peoples post don't you, ( the salt thread was a good example of that and enough people told you what an uneducated fool you are ), why don't you go start your own informative threads and actually GIVE something useful to the forum.

And for your information Chlorella is not a "Fungus" it's an Algae. Huge difference Putney and once again you are showing how dumb and ill-informed you are. Please get your facts right before making comments.

Calm down Dalem, again you are getting all defensive. A few people on this thread have shown concern after taking Chlorella not just the OP, but you failed to mention this in your reply to me. You found it necessary to jump to the defense of Chlorella totally blanking out the negative things people were saying about it, and just refering to the OP, whose post you tried to debunk. My god man, how much are you being paid to defend alternative health products?

Once again the putney is spouting absolute crap on other peoples threads.
WHERE have I defended Chlorella putney?
You talk absolute bullshit, nowhere in my post have I defended Chlorella. Perhaps you could be a real man and point it out to me and other members of the forum just where I defended Chlorella.
Nowhere have I debunked the OP's thread, asking her if she saw a Health warning is debunking her thread????
As I told you in my PM to you, you are a complete asshole and a moron.
And kindly in the future if you have more gibberish bullshit to spout from your idiotic mouth have the decency to put it here on forum NOT BY SENDING ME PM's so everyone can see what a ridiculous twat you are.

This sounds like my one and only Chlorella experience.

I threw up constantly and had diarrhea, at the same time. It was out of control. I thought I'd die too. I stopped taking them after about a week (where I couldn't move out of bed at all.)

After talking to this health food person where I bought it, I think what she said could be relevant here, she meant that it was my body trying to rid itself of toxins. Some years before that I had taken 7 vaccines at once, and also some medication use. Remember Chlorella is a heavy detoxer. Most people do become very sick when getting on it. It does get better after a while.

To the OP - pregnant with morning sickness and using Chlorella? The last thing I'd do. You don't say anything about how much you used.
Always when starting using this you should start with only one tiny pill, increase over weeks. Someone I know take 30 tablets a day and is fine with that. It's food, an algae. So it's harmless.

I have to agree with man go putney here. I have just read the pH Miracle by Dr Robert Young and he is a scientist specialising in phlebotomy, blood, and he states that when people eat fungus, it grows in the body and brain and is easily seen in the blood.

All fungus, mushrooms, algae, fermented products like alcohol promote rampant fungal growth in the blood and body and are the leading cause of illness and cancer. Man go putney will not agree with me on this aspect but there is good science behind that assertion.

Never thought you would stoop so low... ( Only Kidding Mark )

Technically there is a huge difference between a Fungus and an Algae. Which is the point I was trying to make. There is a definate distiction between the two.

Fungi are classified as a kingdom that is separate from plants and contain no Chlorophyl.

Whereas Algae are Plant-like organisms that do contain and use Chlorophyl and which grow in water.

I know what you are saying dalem and for days after reading it, I went into denial, I went out and bought some nice shitaki mushrooms.

It is more though the mechanism of growth, they grow the same way a fungus does and so those effects are reflected in the human body.

The human body is not equipped to defend against fungus unless your pH levels are relatively high, ie 7.5 and above. And with so much food making us acidic these days that is a goal that many who try for years fail to reach.

Chlorophyll is a wonder product and in the 60's and 70's was used extensively by bodybuilders and was known as the green steroid. It's just that some plants even when containing chlorophyll are not good for us.

It's an algae, not a fungus, not even close.

Someone is bound to be allergic to just about any food. If I eat a mango I'm bent over with stomach cramps and diarrhea for days. Turns out about 1/500 people are allergic to mangoes, but I haven't encountered any warning labels on the mangoes in the store.

Chlorella has done wonders for me and my family!

My son had a cough for months, I discovered chlorella, gave it to him, the cough was gone in 2 days. He was only 2 at the time and it didn't upset his stomach. Hasn't done that to any of us in my family and we take a LOT!

I recommended it to a friend however and she felt sick, had upset stomach so obviously it's not for everyone. Though another friend I recommended it to has deemed it a miracle, she feels so great after taking it for a few months.

Incidentally I just made a big order of it this evening 1kg of the powder and 1000 tablets. Not sure if codex alimentarius will be affecting chlorella so need to make sure and bulk buy until 1st may.

I believe its important which chlorella you get. Me and the wife tried chlorella a while back and after a couple of days using it felt sick so stopped using it. Afew months ago I decided to do a little more research on it and discovered it is really important to get a chlorella that as had its cell walls broken down first. Got hold of an organic chlorella that had benn broken down and had no side effects whatsoever!

donnastar

Yes, it is important to get chlorella where the cell walls have been broken and pulverized in order to digest it properly. I take several chlorella tablets (or capsules) each day and have not had any side effects in the years that I have been taking it. I usually get my chlorella tablets from herbalhealer.com in the US.

I took some chlorella tablets thinking it would do me some good but i too noticed some bad effects from them. I remember being extremley tired after taking them, I felt literally drained and i was all pale faced like anemic. Never again they went straight in the rubbish bin.

That's because you were detoxing. Most people when they do their first detox, and it happened to me, feel like they have the flue for a couple of days. That's your body flushing out years of krud.

Yeah I am sure I read that when taking chlorella it is important to drink plenty of water because of the detoxing that occurs which causes you to dehydrate.

to the OP....how much were you taking per day?

Chlorella is full of chlorophyll. That is supposed to be very good for us. It is an algae. Didn't the Aztecs eat plenty of algae? Spirulina and chlorella? Probably others as well.

Didn't they give spirulina and chlorella to the children and people around the Chernobyl meltdown? Didn't it help them build themselves back up and clean their bodies from the radiation?

Chlorella is a superfood. Its in naked food's green machine drink. I've drank alot of that stuff, and so have my little kids (4-5). We all seemed very fine.

Better than fine. I'm sure it helped to improve our health.

I have no doubt that there are some people who are allergic to chlorella but that is very unusual. What is more common is to find chlorella that has been contaminated with some toxin, just like any other food can become contaminated. I know people who have used Yaeyama on and off for years with no problems so if someone got a bad batch of Yaeyama, that seems uncommon. Chlorella also removes toxins from your body and you definitely can feel ill from that process but it shouldn't last long.

Chlorella is a superb food. It provides so many health advantages that you could write a book about them, and people have.

It's not a fungus nor is it alive when you eat it.

Ok so I clicked the link and read it. I cannot believe you took such a substance while pregnant. And then you even state that you felt better after ceasing, but started again anyway. You did a stupid thing, and you cannot blame the pills because pregnant women are warned not to take supplements without asking the doctor. I bet you didn't ask your doctor did you? When I was pregnant they only let me use Tylenol and Sudaphed for ailments and the vitamins they prescribed. They said the childrens' chewables were OK because I could not tolerate the vitamins in my stomach- but I ASKED the docs first. I was not allowed anything for my migraines because I was pregnant- you don't take most shit because it can harm the baby! You were worried about freakin autism from the shots so you poisoned your system- makes a lot of sense huh? You cant just go a take whatever you want! You almost killed your baby with your negligence and you are trying to blame a substance that carries a warning for pregnant women not to take. Gee I wonder why they tell you not to take it?

Hmmm must be a difficult pregnancy- let me take more of this stuff that has the warning for pregnant women on it. Don't want my baby to get autism. No Id rather have a stillborn than an autistic baby. How could you be so stupid? You ignored the warnings at the risk of your baby.
