View Full Version : Who's Seen a UFO?

I would like to compare my sightings (I've had four of them.) with others on this forum.

I read about others' UFO sightings for many years, both in my area and worldwide. I read the works of many of the world's best-known ufologists and I was convinced that people were seeing SOMETHING that had objective reality, but I couldn't make up my mind about what they were seeing. Naturally, I wanted to see a UFO myself, but I never seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Finally, about seven years ago, I decided to pray about it. I prayed, "Lord, if it is Your will, let me see one of these things, just once!" Three days later, while I was barbecuing chicken on our outdoor grill at our home here in Texas, USA, my prayer was answered far beyond my wildest dreams! It was a brilliantly clear, warm day in late August, at about five o'clock in the afternoon. There was a very light breeze ruffling the leaves of the eighty-foot tall cottonwood trees in our backyard, and I could see no clouds in the sky. The grill was set up against the back wall of our yard, and I was sitting in front of it with my back against the wall, facing the house. I was enjoying the quiet and calm of the afternoon, and the smell of the cooking chicken, and I leaned my head back against the wall behind me, looking up into the clear, blue Texas sky. At that precise moment, a large, burnished silver, circular object glided over the yard toward the house, directly over my head. It had what looked like a fairly large black rubber or plastic "pad " in its' center. I estimate the object was about sixty feet in diameter, and the "pad" had a diameter of at least twenty-five feet.

My mouth agape, I watched as the object glided over the cottonwood trees, barely clearing them. It was completely silent, and was traveling very slowly for an aircraft. I estimate the ground speed to have been not more than twenty miles per hour. Even so, it was obvious to me that it was under powered flight, and was not drifting with the wind, as a balloon does. (There was hardly any wind, anyway.) As it cleared the cottonwood trees, which gave me some relief, because it was so low in altitude, it slowly "banked" exactly as a fighter aircraft does, and dropped even further in altitude! When it did so, I could see that it was shaped like two hexagonal ashtrays joined one on top of the other at the rims. The corners, however, were quite rounded, so that the whole object gave the impression of being smoothly rounded. The "superstructure was of the same burnished silver color, and it flashed in the sun. There were, however, no windows, insignia or numbers on the object. Now, it was over our front yard. At this point, it was obscured from my view by the roof of our house. I jumped out of my chair, nearly knocking over the barbecue grill, and ran into the house, shouting to my family to come out and see the object. My entire family was in the house: my wife, my mother, my father, and my son, but when I ran into the house, no one was there! Puzzled, but hurrying to get back outside, I grabbed a pair of binoculars and ran out to the backyard again. ( Actually, I should have run out into the FRONT yard, but I didn't think about that at the time.)

I ran out to the barbecue grill and stood on the chair I had been sitting in. When I did so, the object rose above the roof of our house and was traveling away from me. I could see the object edge-on now, as it gained in altitude and increased its speed. I noticed that I could now see blue sky THROUGH it! Only its outline was the burnished silver color. I remember thinking, "cloaking device?" It was traveling much faster now and was headed for a cloud I had not noticed before. The cloud was quite small, hardly more than a mile in lenghth. It flew into the cloud and didn't come out the other side. "Fine," I thought. ""It has to come out of there sometime. I'll just keep watching until it does." But it never did come out. I watched the cloud for at least twenty minutes as it slowly dissolved. Finally , there was no cloud and no object.

By this time, I was trembling. "My God," I thought. "Where was everybody? Why couldn't I find anyone to share this sighting with?" I went back into the house. Now, everyone was back in the house! "Where were you?" I asked. "Didn't you hear my shouting at you to come outside and see the UFO?" They all looked at each other, then at me, questioningly. "We didn't hear you shouting," said my wife. "Is the chicken done?"

I saw what I believe was the same object twice more, at different distances, within two miles of my home. I saw another, different-shaped object while I was traveling in a car with my father through the Davis Mountainst, about two hundred miles East of my home, again in daylight, again in the afternoon, but the sighting I just recounted was by far the most dramatic sighting I've had. I've often wondered why I couln't find my family that day DURING the sighting, while I could find them AFTER it was over! I think now that God temporarily "pulled back the curtain," so to speak, between this reality and another so that I could witness the UFO. In that rality, however, my family was not at home! I was bolstered in this opinion when I witnessed the UFO in the Davis Mountains. My father, who has excellent eyesight even though he's in his eighties, COULD NOT see the UFO I could clearly see! Anyway, I hope there are others on this forum who will share their experiences with me.

I've seen one. I was going to a party where all the people were drunk out in the middle of nowhere. I hadn't had even a sip to drink at all, tho. Myself and the drunks were outside and talking about something and one of them glanced up and was referring to something 'beyond that UFO up there' and that's when I saw it, naturally. It was one of them triangle-shaped ones with lights that didn't blink and made no sound.

Right after that experience, I went on home. This was like 7 years ago. I don't remember if I went there intending to get drunk or not, but if I did, the UFO experience made me decide otherwise. I think I was coming back from another friend's place at the time, however, and with no intention of getting intoxicated, btw. I just wanted to get home and go to sleep.

p.s. it was maybe a few hundred feet up and it was at night. maybe 10 pm

I have. At the Herts County showground couple of years ago.

Here's an interesting documentary on UFOs and the Disclosure project. The music is too high in the mix and can be irritating.

I saw a UFO about 10 years back now and I guess the experience led me on a trail of discovery - that led me to the work of David Icke! I was interested to read others' sightings, as in some ways they resemble my own. Like Sabbathius, I too saw a silent triangular craft, with only green. red & white lights visible. And like Spectator's sighting, I too seemed to be suddenly all alone, with no one around to witness the event. I was travelling in my car on a normally busy road, but when I saw the UFO, strangely, the road was empty (it was only 9pm ), but when I parked up to get a closer look, the UFO was suddenly gone and the traffic had returned.

I have just finished reading a book by Graham Hancock called 'Supernatural' in which he puts forward some interesting theories about alternative realities that can be accessed in altered states of consciousness. He even links this to people who have had close encounters wth UFOs/aliens. I have long believed that UFOs/ aliens are more likely to come from inner, rather than outer space, which accounts for the sudden disappearing/ appearing or the transparancy effect experienced by Spectator. It was interesting that Spectator's sighting came after a period of prayer and conscious focusing of thought. Could he have altered his state of consciousness suficiently to briefly access this alternative reality? It is interesting, from Hancock's research, that people from all walks of life, different historical eras and unrelated cultures experience, more or less, the same alternative reality when in an altered state of consciousness, whether it be from hallucinary plants, like ayahuasca, DMT or otherwise. Just some thoughts to chew over.

It was the Summer of '95...2 friends and myself were procceding North East on a highway from Windsor to London Ontario Canada at approx. 1:00 AM EST. Aside from the driver, who missed it, my friend in the front passenger seat asked me to look out the window and up. He asked me.."do you see it..?"...a few moments passed and I saw a what could have been mistaken for a plane at high altitude traversing the sky from East to West...this "light" was moving at an incredible pace, MUCH faster than ANY commercial aircraft. Nothing really THAT unusal until it made a point blank 90 degree turn and then...BOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gone.

I assume it was military. Certainly NOT a sattelite or commercial aircraft.

I went camping in the late 90's in Cornwall in England with a group of friends and at night there was no citys around so we could see the stars really well.
We all seen the same thing as you " blank 90 degree turn and then...BOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gone."
I later found out that it was "stars"
I was told that the stars in rings and move to like the earth or something like that?

Still don't under stand it??

I have a memory but don't know if it's real or just my imagination.

It was a summers day blue sky I was about 5 or 6 at the time out n the back garden alone. There was a slight breeze straw (stems of wheat) started to fall from the sky, the wind wouldn't of been strong enough to have blown the straw from the farmers fields at least 600 yards away.

A sort of pyramid shaped UFO, gold in colour, small about 15ft in size hovered above me as close as 15 ft away, that's all I remember.

lol The above a mistake, but im laughing all the same.
Anyway, seriously Ive seen them about 5times
all in broad daylight and alongside lets say... um the entire city.
Of course on the news here etc.. The last time I sent my bf a clip of the news here on it quickly disappeared when he wanted to show friends was already gone. And to note it was not on international news. The whole country well anyone seeing the news outside of the capitol had live images of it and those in and or near the capitol live view! That last time there were several ufos there. Amazing (or to be expected) that the whole world wasnt give that footage, oh well. Alot of the ufos are seen very near volcanos, the entire country is dotted by them one near San Jose. I will put a link on here for you all. Cheers http://strayreality.com/mystery1b.htm

Thank you, everyone, for responding to my UFO post. All your posts are very interesting! I was particularly interested in that of who elsie, because she(?) described what could have been an interdimentional shift of some kind associated with her sighting. I'm not crazy after all!! I didn't know about the Graham Hancock book. He's one of my favorite authors, so I will try to get it. I hope more people will post accounts of their experiences!

For anyone who lives in or around melb Australia, the best time for seeing a UFO is 11pm.

..and anyone wondering if UFO's are still around, well, yes indeed! Constantly.

I can share this: - I have memories (as a young child) of a presence being in my bedroom, which would start with a feeling of fear, not being able to move at all (not even my head) and the feeling someone was with me. This felt like it was for a short time only and was I guess between the ages of 5 to 7 years old and happened several times. It’s only been recalled by me in the last few years, possibly having read books like Communion (by Whitley Strieber) and other works by Stanton Friedman, and although I remember being scared then, it doesn’t trouble me now. I try and keep an open mind about this sort of thing and I do have a mild interest in this type of subject.

Aprox 10 years ago driving to work early in the morning and whilst still dark, I watched a bright ball of light (looked the size of a small football) appear from over some trees and disappear into a field. There was other traffic about at the time and again, I didn’t really react to it. I would guess it was not travelling much faster than me at the time. I couldn’t say what it was, but it was a pleasing feeling, nothing frightening.

Aprox three months ago, my wife (on her own) called me from her mobile phone, slightly shaken having pulled off of the road in our car and told me that she was driving along a quiet road with no one else around, when what she thought was blue flashing lights from an emergency services vehicle appeared behind her. She instinctively pulled over to let it pass, but couldn’t actually see where it was coming from. She was scared for a moment and felt that someone else was in the car with her, then the lights had gone and another car went by, whereby she resumed her journey home without further incident and talks no more about it.

Caulkhead, the description you give in your last paragraph of your wife's experience sounds very much like a "missing time" experience. In these experiences, people, after seeing a UFO, report that they feel the presence of another "person" in the car with them, then it seems to end and they continue on their way. Later, they notice that their journey has taken them much longer than expected. Did your wife notice anything like that?

First sighting at the age of 12 with another person. Over a field next to house. We experienced missing time as well. Became interested in questioning reality after this experience. Next sighting occured 12 years later at the age of 24. My dog and I saw this one together. LOL It was at night there were several of them this time it really scared me to see so many. Now I have been seeing quite a few every year. I'm not sure if these were ETs or military though.

One of the first things we discussed when she got home was the time she actually started her journey home and the time it was when she called me on her phone.

The journey would normally take 20 to 30 minutes and I guess she was no later than 5 minutes past her expected time home.

She must have spent 5 minutes on the phone to me when she pulled off the road and although a quiet road, other cars would not have been far behind her. She had no problems with the car either.

If there was missing time, (a) she didn’t notice anything odd and (b) it would have been very short indeed.

Before this happened, I was browsing a UFO site some months ago and came across another sighting in the same area that happened aprox 10 years ago, which I found interesting.

She’s put this to the back of her mind now and dismisses the UFO theories totally.
