icke speaks quite often of the flame as a major illuminati symbol, you see it all over the place, it symbolises, amongst other things, the illuminati themselves, as well as the flame prometheus gave to man, the beginning of our slavery in many ways.
we find all over the world, so called eternal flames, flames that never go out, basically an illuminati rubber stamp on an event, take diana for example, there's a flame burning on her grave right now.

Mbeki: Redefine common identity
2006-12-16 14:03
Pretoria - South Africans must work together to redefine their shared common identity, President Thabo Mbeki said at the lighting of the eternal flame in Freedom Park in Pretoria on Saturday.
A ceremony on Saturday introduced Freedom Park's memorial element, Isikhumbuto, which bore engravings of 68 000 names of people who died in the struggle, to the president and to the nation.
Mbeki said Freedom Park represented a mirror image of the country's consciousness and it would be a place of hope where the country's history would be embedded.
"It will hold memory in incubation allowing us to nurture a place free of racism and hatred."
Mbeki was also handed two books covered in zebra and springbok skin which had names of the people in it.
Tshwane mayor Gwen Ramakgopa said Freedom Park was befitting tribute to selfless sacrifices made by the people of South Africa.
"Isikhumbuto will make all of us, black and white, walk with pride and dignity as we continue to build a united nation with a common vision," Ramakgopa said.
Mbeki said despite the country's achievements, South Africans should still remind themselves of the journey forward.
"I assure the nation that we will continue to do what we have done in the past 12 years to defend our constitution and constantly listen and respond to the voices of the people."
The ceremony was attended by various ministers, diplomats and delegations from Tanzania and Angola.
Inkatha Freedom Party leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi was also present.
About 1 000 people witnessed the lighting of the eternal flame of heroes and heroines who died for humanity and freedom in South Africa.
A public celebration hosted by Freedom Park, in conjunction with the department of justice and constitutional development and the City of Tshwane, was scheduled to take place at Pilbitch stadium in Pretoria during the course of the day.
