Prayer thread.....

Jesus said that when 2 or three get together in His name He will surely be there.

There are as far as I am aware at least 2 Christians on this site regularly. I would like to join together with the Christians here and start a prayer group. There have been a couple of threads recently where the op is extremely depressed and in need of strenght.

I would like anyone in need of a prayer to post here or send me a pm and I will arrange a time when the prayer group will get together and pray for you.

Glory to God for the miracles He works through prayer

Anyone who would like yo be envolved in the prayer group please let me know. Going to Christian church is not a requirement, having a heart filled with love is.

To those who need it, a prayer for deliverence from physical and spiritual enemies, call upon the Lords might..

Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me;
fight against those who fight against me!
Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise for my help!
Draw the spear and javelin against my pursuer!
Say to my soul, " I am your deliverence!"

Let them be put to shame and dishonour who seek after my life!
Let them be turned back and confounded who desire evil against me!
Let them be like chaff before the wind,
with the Angel of the Lord driving them on!
Let their way be dark and slippery,
with the Angel of the Lord pursuing them!

For without cause they hid their net for me;
without cause they dug a pit for my life.

It's interesting that you put in bold a part of the Lord's prayer that has been on my mind lately. What I have been thinking is does this mean that God's forgiveness for us is based on how forgiving we are? I tend to think that it does.

Every word in that prayer is important.
One I would particularly emphasise is `THY WILL be done` (on earth....)

When we do `our will` - things do go pear shaped.

HIS `WILL` includes so many things, not least of which is `do NOT kill`
When we think of the millions and millions of innocent babies being slaughtered, then not surprisingly the earth is being contaminated with the blood of all those innocents.
The righteous Creator CANNOT and will NOT accept such.

Hi suriel, I believe that our lack of forgiveness can block or fuzz our connection with God, we must have a pure heart. After all the Lord forgave me a great deal, I sinned and indeed continue to sin regularly but thanks to His mercy and forgiveness I am cleansed by His precious blood.

If the one I love keeps forgiving me, then the least I can do to show my love for Him is to forgive the people He loves, i.e all of us
