The people of Oxford, England, have just had their rubbish collection system changed to wheelie bins. Instead of leaving out bags of rubbish in regular dustbins, we now put them in wheeled containers, segregating paper, plastic, metal and biodegradable waste to aid recycling.
Aparently these containers are fitted with chips to identify their location and even what we put in them! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=402439&in_page_id=1770

It's 2007! and you now get wheelie bins? We've had'em for yrs here in Oz. We also have an underground network of "chipped-wheelie bin deprogrammers".
# Really, we do have wheelie bins but as they go into the 'big truck' to be emptied, there is a camera thats show image inside the truck of what is coming out of the bin.
P.S I put rubbish in other peoples bin regulary, so what would be the benefit of a chip?

That's terrible! If someone wanted to screw me then all they'd have to do is put cat litter or broken glass in my wheelie bin and the dustmen would think I'd done it.
Why the hell do they want to know what's in our shitcans anyway!? This is more than an invasion of priovacy, it's a pointless invasion of privacy. You've got to wonder about the mentality of people who use high technology to find out what you're chucking away.

I think it's more or less to keep you controlled.(obey the preacher):(
...it's only fear they try to manifest, some bins have a sticker on them that reads.."your bin contains objects not suitable for re-cycling, your bin will not be emptied until the waste is sorted"..now don't qoute me word 4 word..but you get my point.

Hi
I remember reading that the whole purpose for chipping/tagging the wheelie bins is to see the weight of what is being thrown away not just for recycling purposes, but also to judge how many people are living at the house, is anyone is living at the house (e.g benefit cheats) and also to way up whether to introduce a pay per weight of your rubbish tariff in the near future.
Sometimes you just cannot seem to win, but then again there is always an answer some how some way.

There's something very odd about this obsession the authorities have with rubbish. This must be the faction that is the Illuminati equivalent of trainspotters!:D

If i get one i will just zap the chip with some neo magnets i have, if that does not work i will simply remove it like 25,000 people in Bournbmouth did. Believe me nothing scares big brother more than non compliance on a massive scale as they only control through fear of being punished which cannot happen in large numbers.
If they charge for the weight of rubbish you chuck i will either burn all mine in the garden and take it to the local dump or put it high street bins rather than pay a penny to these corrupt gatekeepers.

Good idea putting it in the high street bins, I think I will do the same

First we heard was the story in the local newspaper the headline...Big Brother wheelie bin... man finds chip in bin writes to newspaper, then the council replys, with the offical story, about them recording the weight of what's in the bin.
Everyone certain these chips aren't being used for another more sinister reason? To emit electromagnetic waves that can effect human behaviour:confused:

They'll most likely come up with saying they've found home-made bomb ingredients in someone's bin, and then say "See, we knew this would help us PROTECT YOU, so we are going to continue it and spread it throughout the whole country." http://www.lavender-rose.net/pics/devil.gif

Absolutely. It's so predictable that if such a story came on the news I wouldn't bat an eyelid!

In the borough i live in North London we have had wheelie bins since 1988, this area always seems to be the first for everything, we have the most lamp post mobile phone antenna's installed in the whole of london too, as mentioned in past posts, (will get the pictures of these new poles and disguised telegraph poles posted next week hopefully).
In 1988 we got our green wheelie bins, then last year the council have made a new law that we have to seperate all biodigradable waste into a new brown wheelie bin and to put all plastic and other stuff in the old green one, as well as having two containers for paper and glass/cans.
The new brown wheelie bin has got a chip on it & only gets collected every two weeks, because of this throughout last years hot summer they really smelt bad, attracted alot of maggots and thousands of flies, which obviously used to happen with the green one too, but that got collected each week.
Apparently they are checking our waste and if we put food waste in the green one to stop the smell and flies, we will get fined and/or they will refuse to collect all rubbish.
This to me seems ludicrius as we are now not allowed to have bonfires either so have to do as we are told, surely this is going to cause more rats, which will eventually lead to more desease. Perhaps that's the plan, monitor who is not contributing to a smellier more unhealthy Britain.
I have burnt my chip with a lighter anyway and so have most my firends, but some have already been replaced, which reminds me I must check tonight.

This story appeared in the Oxford Mail under the headline: "WHO'S NEXT?"
Who indeed? I was going to chuck a rubbish bag out of my kitchen window the other day, just to leave in the garden for a bit until I found time to go to the bins, when I saw a police helicopter flying overhead... I wouldn't put it past them!

They are trying to get us to 'clean up' the earth for them, (like unknowing slaves ?) they think the earth is theirs and we the slaves, boy are they wrong, those of us that do live cleanly, do it for us, not them.
global warming etc, less polution, pre sorted recyclable resources ...... think about it!

And I tell you something else, I WOULD LOVE TO BE TAKEN to court, for saomething like this and I will prove negligence by wich ever authority it is for not providing me with a LOCKABLE bin, and a SAFE house to store it in.

Exactly! I'm not going to let them impose clean living as an excuse just to tax us more and control us more with computer databases. Clean living has to come from us on our terms.

It's been in the Oxford Mail that they're introducing chipped bins into South Oxfordshire. It'll be the rest of us next!:mad:
This news story is not yet in the online edition of the paper, but keep watching it for details:
