You do realise that oden is the same character as abraham?

How funny it is to watch a dog chase it's tail.

The wild goose chase goes on, or the "wild hunt".

Asatru/Ishtar(mary magdalene)/Isis/Semiramis/Cybele etc.

And you have 666 in your screen name, oh the irony.

I'm not personally a follower of Asatru, but I've read a lot about the religion over the years. It's a profound and ancient spiritual path that more people should know about and explore. Can you share some good links with people for more info? Thanks.

Wodan=Earth?

"Worship of Odin may date to Proto-Germanic paganism. The Roman historian Tacitus may refer to Odin when he talks of Mercury. The reason is that, like Mercury, Odin was regarded as Psychopompos, "the leader of souls."

As Odin is closely connected with a horse called Sleipnir, a spear called Gungir, and transformation/shape shifting into animal shapes, an alternative theory of origin contends that Odin, or at least some of his key characteristics, may have arisen just prior to the sixth century as a nightmarish horse god (Echwaz), later signified by the eight-legged Sleipnir. Some support for Odin as a latecomer to the Scandinavian Norse pantheon can be found in the Sagas where, for example, at one time he is thrown out of Asgard by the other gods — a seemingly unlikely tale for a well-established "all father." Scholars who have linked Odin with the "Death God" template include E. A. Ebbinghaus, Jan de Vries and Thor Templin. The later two also link Loki and Odin as being one-and-the-same until the early Norse Period[citation needed]."

Edessa, Greece
Edessa, Mesopotamia, now Şanlıurfa, Turkey
County of Edessa, a crusader state
Osroene, an ancient kingdom and province of the Roman Empire

Look up the history of Edessa in Turkey it is very interesting.

"Şanlıurfa (often simply known as Urfa in daily language, formerly cited as Edessa; or in Syriac ܐܘܪܗܝ Urhoy or in Kurdish Riha ; or in Armenian Urhai, Arabic الرها ar-Ruhā) is a city with 482,323 inhabitants (2009 estimate[2] in south-eastern Turkey, and the capital of Şanlıurfa Province. Urfa is situated on a plain under big open skies, about eighty kilometres east of the Euphrates River. The climate features extremely hot, dry summers and cool, moist winters."

"Under the control of the Canaanite Hittites was a land called KHURRI. Notes the Encyclopedia Britannica, "besides the Hittite, Khattish and Luish, still another language [of the Hittites] has been revealed by the inscriptions at Boghazkeui -- Khurrish (Hittite khurlili), which is thus named after a people, empire and, apparently, also a city Khurri. The country Khurri (WHICH MEANS PROPERLY "HOLLOWS, CAVERNS"), must be looked for in North Mesopotamia and the bordering Armenian mountains" (1943 edition. Vol. 11, p. 603).

The Britannica goes on to say: "Hrozny regards the North Mesopotamian town Urfa, Gr. Orrhoe, Edessa, as the centre of the empire of Khurri....In Assyria Urfa seems to be called Khurra. As the name prabably means "CAVERN[S]," it is possible to suppose that Khurra-Urfa received this name on account of the NUMEROUS CAVERNS in the Nimrud Dagh of the surrounding country" (ibid., p. 604)."

"According to Turkish Muslim traditions Urfa (its name since Byzantine days) is the biblical city of Ur, due to its proximity to the biblical village of Harran. However, some historians and archaeologists claim the city of Ur is in southern Iraq. Urfa is also known as the birthplace of Job."

"Ur - Ural, Urani/Uranes (west/Amenti/Pet), Uranus/Ouranos (heaven/over, planet), Hul, Hurrians (Mitanni/Hanigalbat/Marya/Harran), Sanliurfa/Urfa/Orchoe (late, Syriac/Turk - Osrohene/Edessa/Admum/Adme close/near Haran), Ur-kesh (early, 3rd millennium, city - Subartu &/or primarily/mainly Hurrian speaking), Urmia (Urartian records), Ursa (Arctic), Uralten, Euros, Europe, urban/uru/urdu (city/encampment), Urartu/Urashtu/Ararat/Alarodian/u-ru-at-ri/u-rat-ri (north, late, foreign/Assyrian not Urartian - Van &/or "nw Iran"), Urus (Peru), Horites, Urd (Edda), Curu (north, Indian), var (cover - Iranian), Urdu/Eridu; Urem (Ad); Uri ("Armenia"); Uru ("Subartu"); Uru (Hawaiki/Polynesian homeland), Uruk/Unuk/Erech (earliest, south, earlier than Ur), Hud, Ur/Hur/Uru/Urummu/Urim (not anachronism, city-state/hinter-land/kgdom/supreme, south, earliest, moon, no tracs of Abram recs- Camarina/Tell el-Muqayyar, near Ubaid, Chaldea, prior to the middle of the 1st millennium BC, east of Euprates shifted to west), Ushu, Uras/Ninurta, Ulai, Ur( ha)-Kasdim/Ur "of the Chaldees" (anachron?), Ki-Uri/Uri-ki (land, north/south, Sumerian - Akkadia), Urudtuv (Euphrates), Urud/Urdhu (Akkad/Sippar), Ur/Rome (Babylon), Uruki/Hurki (Udan/Ashim/Babbar/Sin/Nanna/Aku), Urdu/Eridu ("Carchemish"), orei (mtn), Ura (several places in Asia Minor), Ura (nne of Haran); Ashur. "Woden probably rose to prominence during the Migration period, gradually displacing Tyr as the head of the pantheon in West and North Germanic cultures -- though such theories are only academic speculation based on trends of worship for other Indo-European cognate deity figures related to Tyr."

Tyranis ,Titus(or whatever) and their brother,Baal-Bal something.

The unholy trinity, with their god(the trickster) standing over laughing at us all.

He is called Tyr in Ireland (Hibernia) Land of the Hibiru (Hebrew).

"Tyr (pronounced /ˈtɪər/;[1] Old Norse: Týr [tyːr]) is the god of single combat, victory and heroic glory in Norse mythology, portrayed as a one-handed man. Corresponding names in other Germanic languages are Gothic Teiws, Old English Tīw and Old High German Ziu, all from Proto-Germanic *Tîwaz (*Tē₂waz)."

Twues (get it, 2 headed.)

Thors hammer, 2 headed?

As in Jesus and Thomas the twins ( two headed.)

"A number of Icelandic male names are derived from Týr. Apart from Týr itself: Angantýr, Bryntýr, Hjálmtýr, Hrafntýr, Sigtýr, Valtýr and Vigtýr. When Týr is used in this way, joined to another name, it takes on a more general meaning of "a god" instead of referring to the god Týr. For example, Hrafntýr "raven-god" and Valtýr "god of the slain" are Old Norse names of Odin.

"

Hrafntýr - Harran?

"Harran is a village and district of Şanlıurfa Province in the southeast of Turkey, 24 miles (44 kilometers) southeast of the city of Şanlıurfa and near the Syrian border. The village's official name is Altınbaşak, whereas the district is named Harran."

"Harran is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Grong on 1 January 1923. At that time Harran had a population of 630.

On 1 January 1964 Harran was reunited with Grong. Prior to the merger Harran had a population of 1.085."

The teu-tons. Get it? The illuminati based their system on this religion.

From the outside it looks like these religions are seperate. But they are all one and the same, based on worship of the same person(s) under different names.

"For the location in Norway, see Harran, Norway. For the village in Yemen, see Harran, Yemen.
Not to be confused with Haran (Hebrew הָרָן), the name of three men mentioned in the Hebrew Bible.

" few kilometers from Altınbaşak are the archaeological remains of ancient Harran, a major commercial, cultural, and religious center first inhabited in the Early Bronze Age III (3rd millennium BCE) period: it was known as Ḫarrānu in the Assyrian period; as Ḥaran (חָרָן) in the Hebrew Bible; as Κάῤῥαι or Carrhae under the Roman Empire; as Hellenopolis (῾Ελληνὀπολις 'pagan city') in the Early Christian period; and as Ḥarrān (حرّان) in the Islamic period.[1][2]

The city was the chief home of the Mesopotamian moon god Sin, under the Assyrians and Neo-Babylonians/Chaldeans and even into Roman times."

"Sin's temple was rebuilt by several kings, among them the Assyrian Assur-bani-pal (7th century BCE) and the Neo-Babylonian Nabonidus (6th century BCE). [5] [6] Herodian (iv. 13, 7) mentions the town as possessing in his day a temple of the moon."

Esus

"The two statues on which his name appears are the Pillar of the Boatmen from among the Parisii and a pillar from Trier among the Treveri. In both of these, Esus is portrayed cutting branches from trees with his axe. Esus is accompanied, on different panels of the Pillar of the Boatmen, by Tarvos Trigaranus (the ‘bull with three cranes’), Jupiter, Vulcan, and other gods."

"A well-known section in Lucan's Bellum civile talks about the gory sacrificial offerings proffered to a triad of Celtic deities: Teutates, Hesus (an aspirated form of Esus), and Taranis.[1] Among a pair of later commentators on Lucan's work, one identifies Teutates with Mercury and Esus with Mars. According to the Berne Commentary on Lucan, human victims were sacrificed to Esus by being tied to a tree and flailed.[2]"

Tyr-anus.

ben87
10-11-2010, 04:21 AM
"The 18th century Druidic revivalist Iolo Morgannwg identified Esus with Jesus on the strength of the similarity of their names. He also linked them both with Hu Gadarn, writing:

“ Both Hu and HUON were no doubt originally identical with the HEUS of Lactantius, and the HESUS of Lucan, described as gods of the Gauls. The similarity of the last name to IESU [Welsh: Jesus] is obvious and striking.[7] ”

This identification is still made in certain Neo-Druidic circles. Modern scholars consider the resemblance between the names Esus and Jesus to be coincidental.[8]"

"In Celtic mythology Taranis was the god of thunder worshipped in Hispania and mentioned, along with Esus and Toutatis, by the Roman poet Lucan in his epic poem Pharsalia as a Celtic deity to whom sacrificial offerings were made.[1] He was associated, as was the cyclops Brontes ("thunder") in Greek mythology, with the wheel.

"

ben87
10-11-2010, 04:23 AM
"The wheel, more specifically the chariot wheel with eight spokes, was an important symbol in historical Celtic polytheism, apparently associated with a specific god, known as the wheel-god, identified as the sky- sun- or thunder-god, whose name is attested as Taranis by Lucan.[7] "

The 8 spoked wheel is a symbol of jupiter/zeus.

"Teutates was worshipped especially in Gaul and in Roman Britain. Inscriptions to him have been recovered in the United Kingdom, for example that at Cumberland Quarries (RIB 1017), dedicated to Jupiter Optimus Maximus and Mars Toutatis.[4] Two dedications have also been found in Noricum and Rome.[3]"

They are pandering to your/our desires by creating a fake history.

They tell you/us the trojans didnt exist, and then create a fake history to accompany christianity.

"Ásatrú
Ásatrú (pronounced [auːsatruː], in Old Norse [aːsatruː]) is an Old Norse compound derived from Áss, which refers to the Æsir, (one of the two families of gods in Norse mythology, the other being the Vanir), and trú, literally "troth" or "faith". Thus, Ásatrú is the "Æsir's faith." The term is the Old Norse/Icelandic translation of Asetro, a neologism coined in the context of 19th century romantic nationalism, used by Edvard Grieg in his 1870 opera Olaf Trygvason. Ásatrúar, sometimes used as a plural in English, is properly the genitive of Ásatrú."

"HEANTHENS"?

There could be, but can't say as I have heard of any as of yet.

There might be a few "Heanths" about. and possibly some "Anthens".

Mayhaps even be a few "Eanthens" in the neighborhood, or even if we are lucky, some "Heanths".

What do you reckon these here "Heanthens" look like so as we might see what to look for just in case we see any?

Any clue as to what they might like to eat?
There could be some "Heanthen" restaurants about that cater to Heanthen culinary specialties where Heanthens might tend to congregate.

Any clues as how these Heanthens prefer to dress could be helpful too, like with any notable weirdness in Heanthen men hat styles or lady Heanthen dress styles?

Any help you can give us will certainly be helpful in seeing if there are any Heanthens here abouts. Or anywhere else, for that matter.

I know I want to know.
