Hi there! Im new ... I like your forum.

Question: Do you think kids aged 8-10 should watch Simpsons? The show is really big now, and I used to like the message, but these days it seems to be a p-taking moneymachine with all the stuff they promoting.

The movie was boring, has someone picked up anything we did´nt know already? Is Homer the stupid commoner, who dumps toxic waste in his own lake? Or is he supposed to represent the common politician, someone who makes a mess and refuse to admit it? Or is he an overall silly humanbeing, who have no clue what he is doing? (like the rest?) I´m looking for the message and blaming the commoner seems to be a bit wrong.

Anyway ... the question was if you thnk it´s suitable for children? Do they get the points?

There was a massive decline in the quality of the humor on the Simpsons about 10 years ago. I haven't seen anything past the 9th season (which sucked). I saw the movie and thought it was funny. For kids? I dunno. I don't have kids but the makers of it let their own kids see it.

Simpsons is good, but i agree it got kind of lame in the later seasons. The movie wasn't great, but visual it was nice, a very good effort on the part of the illustrators/digital artists. One thing that disturbed me, was that in the scene where the town is rallying like a mob to get the simpson family, they have nooses on the tree, including one for maggie, the toddler, not to mention the children. I just thought that was kind of sick, especially for a childrens movie.

Before the guy who draws the simpsons(forgot his name) started drawing the Simpsons, he started in a free newspaper I used to see in Washington D:C: a cartoon series called LOVE IS HELL, I could see the guy knows many things and understand the stupidity of human beings. I suppose drawing the simpsons gave him more money and popularity world wide to the masses.
But the guy is not as dumb as he seems- Too bad he got stuck with the Simpsons beer drinking series. I hope in ther future we will see something with more depth as he has done before.

Yeah, some of it is insidious. But its had its good moments, too. But you are a South Park fan, no? You used to have your character as your avatar. Talk about a show with little more than trivia! Sure, there are some incisive points; but really, it's most redeeming quality is that it is simply hilarious. And the 9-11 episode was simply shameful...but still hilarious (re: duque in the urinal).

i used to watch simpsons ALL THE TIME

i can like verbatim recite most episodes, mid 90s were the funniest

but i was watching an episode earlier, and i noticed now just how much programming is in those cartoons


we think that homer is funny and stupi, but this is ALL a part of demasculinization of the male, father figure, making them out to be dumb stupid, beer drinking footbal watching, MORONS, lol


and you see lil smart lisa, the girl, so intelligent, where shes even teaching homer all kinds of stuff

this is very satanic barinwasing here


also that show family guy, with stewie, the BABY, making all those comments, it might funny, and a funy voice actor, but this is BAD programming goin on

The simpsons is quality for all ages I think, to say its satanic brainwashing is a bit extreme in my view. Think some people might look too much into things plus also kang and kodos being the presidential candidates is class.

Also love family guy its hilarious dont think its for kids though tbh

I think even Icke has been on the show, and look at them silly aliens who are dribbling over with goooosh like runny noses and spit coming out everywhere ... it just has to be us ... the humans lol ... we got all sorts of stuff coming out ourselves like bogeys, salivia, poo, wee, spunk, funnyliquid and so on ... we sooo gross lol. Tv is going out ........... but simpsons is funny ... even if its just the little things like when the polarbear kicks someting cos he is pissed off.

My mum bought the kids a simpson toy, like a sweetthing the other day, and all the familys eyes stand out like ratnobs out of their heads .... the classic "im watching telly and im a zoombie" - look ... Soooo they take the piss ... (the sellers) but with a hint of "told you so" ...in the same time on the way to the bank. I think the voice of Burns,is Harry Shearer...a known member of Skull and bones society.Use to be a brilliant cartoon....then South Park came...The Super Super Advernturers...molesting children for their Marclars(Energy).....
Blew my mind....anything else.....is just weak....
I sometimes suspect the makers of South Park,are avid fans of David Icke's work....why?,not just the continual references...to our kind of knowledge...but if you grew up in a nest of vipers,you are likely to see one from time to time...the makers of South Park grew up in Colorado...enough said....

I like the Simpsons. I dont think that the writers are part of any conspiracy.
The writers of The Simpsons slag off Fox as much as they can and I think that that is why agents on here try to discredit anything to do with The Simpsons.

i agree, i don't think the writers are messing with our heads, shame it just isn't that funny anymore, my fave episode is the chilli cook off when homers eats a pepper and goes tripping. not a fan of family guy really, find all the jokes too unrlated to the plot for my liking. south park on the other hand is great, the guys who make it seem pretty decent, fans of icke? who knows, you'd like to hope so but i doubt it, they never really follwed through with 9/11 episode bit of a cop-out ending but it was hillarious.

i like simpsons, but i see it for what it is, and thats sunworship. at the begining of the show, the clouds part and the sun is revealed. lisa with her hair is the enlightened sun, and homer represents the stupid masses. simpsons as we all know means sun. but thats just my take, still funny though...

How can anyone watch a cartoon about a bunch of yellow jaundiced people living in a world of donuts and beer. Bart talks to his famiy as if they have just come from out from under stone. It's no wonder the children have such a none understanding of parents. These cartoon weren't around when I was young. :p:p:p
