I have witnessed first hand the build up to this moment. I was in Leeds train station and took a picture of an advert for Morgan Stanley bank that I was going to parody and before I had even put my camera down a voice behind me said 'excuse me sir, but you are not allowed to take photographs here'.
I turned around to be greeted by two special constables and said in disbelief 'you are joking?'. They replied that they weren't and that since the bombings in London on the 7th of July there have been 'anti-terror' measures to stop 'terrorists' taking pictures in public places such as train stations.
I asked them what law it was and when it was introduced but they didn't know, which would have been a laugh if they had attempted to arrest me.
I said 'well I will show you what I have just taken' and proceeded to show them and explain why I had taken the photo. They were slightly amused when I told them of the parody I was going to do and then attempted to assist me in breaking the law by asking if I had finished or if I needed to take some more photos to help in my little project! Unbelievable!
I said no and walked off laughing to myself at what had just happened.
The world is full of idiots who think they run things! Aaaarrgh!
