What companies do you boycott and why?
What companies do you think others should join in boycotting and why?

Rather than simply boycotting select companies i try to live in a way that supports capitalism as little as possible. I dumpster dive as much as i can and try to keep a strong DIY ethic. Awesome to see a thread like this on this board! its why i joined, what David Icke says goes so well together with radical politics

thats a great idea, i try to do it in some ways

don't u think it's also worth while "voting with your money" by, for example, favouring fair trade products or recycled TP?

Fair trade products is a great idea, and i support it 100%, but i still find it futile to try and make things fair under a capitalist frame work- having a fair trade movement while theres still the $1 a day type products just leads to over production,, While its great to support it, i don't see it as an excuse for over-indulgence or anything.

On a side note - theres this constant thought going inside me that a lot of what I try and do to help is just helping the system, for example the water crisis here in Australia; every Litre I save is just one more being used by a business. I'm also doing social work, which is just healing people to go back into the war sort of thing.

Fairly bleak point of view i know, but on the other hand resistance is growing around the world. Fair trade is opening peoples eyes to why there's an alternative - just like slowly people are becoming aware of similar things like animal testing, organic, etc. Let's hope and fight for big changes in the future!

I always try to buy Australian made products even though they cost a bit more than cheap imports.

I hate Woolworths and Coles with a vengance. They have driven nearly all of the small local operators out of business and now have a duopoly where they are doing away with the known brands and replacing them with generic ones. They are doing the same with petrol (gas for the americans :)) It too is becoming a duoploy where all of the independant operators are being driven to the wall by the corporations.

I try to boycott, as much as possible, big corporations in general, especially the 'trendy' ones.

Hell, I don't even go to a store if I absolutely need to.

If I need more clothes, I'll go to thrift stores before anywhere else.

And I certainly don't sport "corporation t-shirts" ..
