Human Race Get Off Your Knees is the title, but really what would we accomplish if we did?

I am asking fellow forum readers/posters this question; have you put any thought into what you would actually do if you where to succeed? And if so, what would you propose as an alternative to the current system?

Please take a moment to consider the following quote before you reply.

"As long as there is hate in you're heart, there will be hate in the world. You cannot fight for peace and you cannot capture freedom." Charles Manson

Really?

I just asked a couple simple questions and no one has posted a single reply.

Is it because you do not have your own opinion or is it because you have not been told what to think yet?

Just saying....

Thank you. Although you did not address the original questions, you did at least post a reply.:)

But really, has anyone actually put any thought into what type of society/system/or lack thereof that you would like to see put in place if you where to succeed in changing the current system that you live under?

The world is truly falling to pieces - not for pretend, but for real. The problems are real, they're serious, and they're coming faster and faster. So what good is it going to do to waste our time day-dreaming about solutions?

Up until now, for centuries upon centuries, every generation has had a chance to turn to Christ, repent of their sins, and be saved. But the Word of God warns people to call on Him while they still can - while He is still near.

Every breath you take has been numbered. Your next breath could be your last. Even the days of the world have been numbered. Why waste the time that God has given us on day-dreams and wishful thinking? And especially so with our generation, since we're the generation who can see how critical things have finally become.

The problem is the mind, it has usurped power over consciousness. Lving from the perspective of consciousness opens the heart. When the heart is open, the only law we live by is love. There is no system needing to be invented after this. The original quote by Manson was correct. What more do you need?

I'll follow Christ when I see someone else do it who isn't a false prophet.

Just the title itself, "Human race get off your knees", is a call for responsibility. You need to stop whining and depend on government and make the changes you want to see in the world.

Personally I have recently gotten some ideas of a new 'priesthood' for the uphold of freedom, honesty and truth in all it's definitions. Like the priesthoods of the past who kept you a slave of the state, we will do the opposite.

Then you're looking to follow a prophet, and not Christ at all. Besides which, your problem all along has been that you're in disagreement with God; at odds with Him; in rebellion against Him. A true prophet will only tell you all the things you don't want to hear. In fact, I suspect it is a false prophet you're searching for. Someone who will tell you, you can live life on your own terms - sin and all - and still be saved.

No I want to see someone who has given up everything for Christ's sake, who preaches day and night with tears in his eyes for us to repent.

Not the phonies in the Church who delude themselves to have the holy spirit.

I think the last part of it is:-
"Get off your knees and EVOLVE"

And to answer the last part of the OP's question, an alternative 'system' would be one based upon love, not fear like the present system is.

And I'm 100% certain that Icke is not advocating following Jeeeeeeesus Chraaaaaast or any other religiously-orientated nonsense.

Smart people, as you'll learn after spending time on these forums, advocate a Libertarian society built upon personal resonsibilty and altruism, without laws that limit a persons rights to do as they please but with extreme penalties for those who wish to impose their will upon others.

Stupid people, as you'll learn after spending time on these forums, cry out for various different governments or theocracies that will tell them they can do what they want but that will punish all those who behave in ways they don't like or are different to them.

I of course transcend such petty human squabbles and do as I please regardless of whatever numbwit thinks they are in power. Ubermensh need neither government nor liberation from government, such is our awesomeness :D

I don't see how that would cause you to suddenly understand how God is just. You already have the Word of God, which you reject. And it's God's Word that His prophets preach. But you obviously know yourself better than I know you, so maybe there's something in all of this that I missed. Because from where I'm sitting, you're not making sense. Either you keep changing your mind; or there's more to it all that you're not telling me. In the latter case, I understand. It's not wise to open yourself up to every person who comes along - whether online, or offline.

The point I am making here is that there isn't a single one who follows the Bible as it is written (which perhaps isn't so unexpected as Jesus and Paul contradict each other and people tend to go with the latter. Yet neither the Paulines do everything Paul said).
And even if you would come accross one, chances are he's just a false prophet.

I have said I recognize that there is some power in Jesus and that he appears to be real although the Bible is absolutely insane, and I have asked if it is possible to get to know this power without having to brainwash yourself with the Bible. But it doesn't seem I can.
Neither does it look like I have to because no one else is really committed to it.

Thank you Mercury Dreams for answering my questions, and I do believe that the original quote by Manson is both correct and the answer; that is why I posted it.

You are the only one who actually had the insight to understand and answer the questions, and more importantly the quote.

Here is the interview (3:15 long) where the quote came from, and it offers a lot more information as well.

Can you answer me this? If God is so much more amazing than man, how come nothing aledgedly written by him is as well argued or reasonable as the many many works of man written by man? Why does Plato's Republic contain more usefull and profound information about the human mind than the New Testament which was written at the same time? Why is there a 1000x more reasoning and justice in John Stewart Mills' 'On Liberty' if God is the last word in all things 'just'? Why is God never funny? Why if we are made in his image to we have the capacity to create humour and irony where God displays no such ability? Why are men able to see the contradictions in their own work and revise it yet God cannot and we must all just ignore his failings or go to hell?

Your entire Belief System rests on the fact that The Bible claims to be God's Word and that must be true because it says so in The Bible. I could make the same claim about everything I read on My Laptop being God's Word because it says so in my Laptop.

damn that was nice. I second and third that.

also, on that note, I've recently taken the time to read the entire work of the Book of Enoch. I find it truly fascinating and relevant to these times we live in.....with fallen beings and all. not saying it's a work of God, but a nice work indeed in light of recent revelations.....

You began by saying you would only repent of your sins if God's justice could be proven to you. And now you're saying you would only repent of your sins if you could be sure you had met a true prophet of God - who would only preach to you Words that you already think are unjust. And then your avatar says you're an apostate - an apostate being someone who had once repented, and then fell away. I also looked at your other thread, and saw that you're using false religion as your next reason to reject Christ. From where I'm sitting, looking at all this, it occurs to me that you already made your decision long ago - and now, instead of feeling at peace with your decision, you're trying hard to justify it. Whether to yourself, or to others, or to God, I don't know. But you know that even if I were to try beating you up with the truth, it still wouldn't change what's in your heart. You've made your decision. I can't help you wrestle with the decision you've made. That's something you're going to have to do on your own, between you and Christ.

To all Christians:

Why are you SO brain-washed with this bullshit? I mean really? Do you actually believe this shit?

Yes you are entitled to your opinion/beliefs, and I am not looking for a fight. But have you even read any of David Icke's books? He has totally blown the lid off of religion with page after page of documented facts.

I recommend that you read his books if you haven't.

Go in LOVE and PEACE

PS- The man you refer to as Jesus is reported to have taught love, and he did not teach from the bible because it had not been put together at his time.

Going off this, if you want to follow/live in his teachings why do you not research what he was actually teaching rather than reading a book that was written after he was killed?

When I originally responded in this thread, I knew the answer I gave wouldn't be popular. But it was still in keeping with the OP's question. I'd be happy to talk over religion, and the Christian faith, with anyone who's interested, but I don't want to derail the OP's thread by taking it completely off-topic. So if anyone is truly interested in talking these things over, start a new thread - let me know where it is, and I'll join you there.

Seeing someone actually follow Christ would add another dimension to the book and I could consider being open to it.

But as it is now, it only seems that I am heavily deluding myself if I would try and believe this.

You know what, ask your Jesus about the sensation in the body and tell me what he says about it.

Well, because I am a son of God and brother to Jesus I can comment on this directly rather than asking "My Jesus" this question.

Here is my answer: We are all one.

If you would like to learn more, I have actually started a foundation which teach the concepts that Jesus originally taught.

Well that might help many of us in the wealthier western world but none of that will help people who are starving in the third world or the Indian farmers that were deliberately sold seed that would not germinate so Monsanto could seize their land or the children horrifically poisoned and disabled due to depleted iranium being deliberately dumped on them.

Many in the world do not even have a home a garden to take care of so it is not going to make things fall into place.

This comment makes it sound like its their fault when it has been deliberately created

I have a plan.

I'll go buy/download a few new age books that are a bit obscure and not too popular. I'll take bits out of each one to formulate a new theory that explains why you are a slave and I am free. I will also create a derogatory word for none believers like Goyim, Kafir or Sheeple. You may use this to prop up your false belief in me and feel better when people call you a nut.

I will then publish the book for a reasonable sum and arrange a tour of speaking dates so that you and those like you can come feel special and 'free' of whatever illusionary prison I have created and told you that you are in.

If I can get enough political and commercial backing then I can form my belief into a religion and attain a tax free status and protection from persecution.

End result: I'll be off my knees with your money and energy and you'll be just as fucked as before but you'll feel a bit better about it.

This is a plan that even Hanibal Smith would be proud of I think =]
