Once when I was having my psychotic breakdown in 1989, I went to a Bad Brains concert at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, MI. After the show I cajoled their manager to let me talk to the band. A guy from SPIN was there to interview them, but I did manage to have a couple of minutes with the guys. I told one of them (don't know their names) "hey man, you mentioned in your song the lost ones. I think I'm one of them" and he gave me a hug and patted me on the back. He knew I was fucked up. They guy from SPIN was looking at me like a cock-a-roach. LOL! Oh yeah, I asked them where they get the songs, and one of the guys says. "I just sit on the toilet and it just comes out!" LOL! Whew sure am glad I survived that phase of my life.
