Seen him live 1993 at the Enmore theatre with Cleopatra Wong in support,he
was alone,alternating between,guitar,viola and piano.He sang with such passion,spittle flew from his mouth...I was amazed and flattened by his performance.He was bassist and viola player and original founding member of
The Velvet Underground.
He also sang Leonard Cohens classic,Hallelujah...and by far the best version
which featured on the first Shreck movie...recommended...his performance on
the album "Songs For Drella",a tribute to Andy Warhol,and a collaboration with
Lou Reed,some clips maybe available on Youtube...Smalltown and Style It Takes are the features here...happy researching.:)

PS...that performance at the Enmore,there's a live album called Fragments Of
A Rainy Season...that is the closest recording captures that exact world tour.

If you ever goto a p2p programme called Soulseek NS...put my user name in and message me...d/l what you want...I got probably nearly everything,of VU,
John and Lou...as well as a gem live performance of Patti smith and John Cale
playing together at CBGB's.Seen Lou at the Civic Theatre in 2003...God,it was like watching the velvets again...big sound,feedback,viola...someone
commited suicide on the trai rails that night...we jumped off the train and run up the rails to get to the concert on time...only at a Lou reed concert.
Except for that tragic event...best show I've seen,besides John's.he even
had some Thai Chi guy doing his moves in front of Lou as he sang,alot of material from the albums,Berlin,Coney island Baby,Street hassle,The Blue Mask
and of course Songs For Drella,in fact the opener,was Smalltown,the frist time ever live to my knowledge...but thankyou Shodan,to give me chance to air my favourites and most cherished performers...they are true artist and the kind of people I relate too...John's even a conspiracy theorist...Lou always has a social point of view,in particular,against George W,take care...:)

Last night I watched a movie, the biography of Johnny Cash and June Carter called “Walk the line” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon …I didn’t know much about Johnny Cash except that he was singer from way back and I’d never heard of June Carter before…Anyhow! My dad always used to sing kippers for tea were having kippers for tea to that tune .:)
Radiograms are a wicked bit of kit well made and good quality manufacturers .My mate had an old one given to him for ages and put it out in his garden i was going to get it off him as it had quad speakers capability built in! but it pissed down with rain and ruined it .The cabinet and wood alone was a work of craftsmanship you dont see nowadays .It had inputs for a tape deck as well so maybe could use CD player or mp3 thru it ? I cant recall the make but it was a top make and a therefore a very good product .:D

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be .My mp3 player packed in recently it is a 30 gig hard drive so i didn't want to give up on it , so looked online for answers .The only one i could find Was a suggestion to whack it above the menu button on the side .I tried to no avail .Anyway i connected it to the PC to see if that would resolve the problem no luck so out of frustration i smacked it against the desk and it worked .
