Bush 'brainwashed' Blair on Iraq

puppet

'Iraq's vice-president claims Tony Blair was "brainwashed" by President Bush into not setting a timetable for troop withdrawal from Iraq. Tareq al-Hashemi suggested Mr Blair had supported his idea of announcing a timetable, but then changed his mind after talking to Mr Bush.'

There is another explanation, of course: (1) Blair tells everyone what they want to hear to suit the moment while always intending to do something else; (2) Bush and Blair are actually told what to do by the same force and it's not 'Bush' who calls the shots to Blair, but this force that calls the shots to both of them.
